We had reservations at Morefield which we were lucky to get, as we wanted electricity for our RV in case we needed AC. As someone else said, the campground is rarely full, so reservations aren't absolutely necessary. Our camp site was roomy and shady. The...More
Morefield is in Mesa Verde National Park and is very convenient to hiking trails and other points of interest. The grounds are huge and rarely full, which is rare for NP campgrounds. There is a large convenience store and gift shop on site as well...More

There are only one or two dwellings that you can actually access via guided tours. We didn't do any while we were there, only observed them from different view points, but from what I could see, it wasn't a terribly difficult hike to/from them.
