It is a haul from the nearest town to Mesa Verde and thus staying in the park was completely worth it. I loved this national park. The rooms have nice balconies or porches, some have great views - - our room didn't have a stellar view so do your homework. OMG the bathroom was so small but you're here for... More

I mistakenly assumed all hotel rooms in America have AC. The hotel offered to change room with an upgrade fee, but warned us the view won't be as good. We couldn't part with the view, so we turned on the fan and went to dinner. We were able to get good rest and wake up to a beautiful view.

I have actually stayed here twice. The first time in 2009 and we enjoyed our stay. Room was comfortable enough. You are in the park which was nice. The problem was when we returned in September 2015. I rented two rooms that were connected. We went to bed and around 1:00 am I heard rustling of a plastic bag we... More

We upgraded to a kiva room when making the reservation. When we checked into our upgrade, our view was of the roof of the building in front of us. We asked to be moved and they sent us further up the mountain side, which actually improved the view a little. Our room was certainly adequate. It had some updates done... More

Far View Lodge rooms have spectacular views. There is a very nice restaurant, Metate Room, that has locally inspired menu items, such as Elk Shepard Pie. The park is very interesting. There are a lot of great hikes to do. The museum by Spruce Tree House is very interesting. I got some really nice native american handcrafts, including a pot... More

I think the furniture and fans in the room may have been left by the original inhabitants of Mesa Verde. But the view from our balcony was fantastic. We were in a standard room. My impression from the map, which may be wrong, is that the kiva rooms, which look nicer, may be set back from the valley rim. If... More

If you want to stay in the National Park this is it. We booked three rooms, and to be honest after we saw them we tried to cancel our second night and just move on. But the woman in charge vetoed that idea. So we stayed. Rooms were OK, nothing great or terrible. We thought we were getting a view,... More

I loved this place. We had a simple room facing out into the valley. I spent all my time when in the room sitting out on the little porch marveling at the view. The room was clean, simple and efficient. The bed was comfy. Really, the room didn't matter that much to me, as long as it met my basic... More

This is a hard review to write. Your experience and satisfaction can hopefully be based on the below expectations. First, there are no other lodgings in the park (unless you are camping). It is quite a trek from the park entrance to the lodge, and another trek to the ruins. Unless you drive back to Durango, there are not many... More

The most unusual thing was a free charger for electric cars and telsas. You will need about 20 miles of charge left from the first visitor center. I ran into the problem of a SUV parked in front of it despite all parking spots being equally distant from the rooms. The rooms had a view. You could see to mountains... More
