Hotel was loud all night long. Can hear everything in nearby rooms plus lots of drunk guests from 8pm to 7am The rooftop bar can be heard from at least 2 floors down and played well into the night Shower has no pressure Rooms are small and beds are not comfortable
Awesome trendy hotel with a very nice rooftop bar. Emily at the front desk was extremely helpful providing great restaurant and tourist recommendations. Would highly recommend staying here with friends, family, for work, etc.
Parking is $42 on top of your nightly stay. The rooms are TINY and the bathroom is smaller than a closet. for a 4 person room they only provided us with only two towels. The rooftop bar (Whiskey Blue) RUDE RUDE RUDE. Charge $50 per person minimum spend, and during my birthday we wanted to come up just to see it and the manager proceeded to kick us out (even tho we were staying at the hotel paying good money to be there). The staff there is clearly used to big money, and will not do anything for you if you aren't willing to spend big bucks. On top of it our iron was broken and nobody would replace it.
To preface this review, I have NEVER felt the need to leave a negative review until now. As a Titanium Elite member with Marriott who travels weekly throughout the Midwest, South and Southeast, I have stayed in all of Marriott’s brands. I chose the W in Buckhead as a treat to myself, stupidly expecting the level of service Marriott usually has for one of their “Luxury” brands. The level of service was deplorable and incredibly disappointing for ANY Marriott brand…much less a W. Other than the Valet, there was not one individual at this property that had any pride in their job or cared about any customer concerns. Even requesting a bottle of water was a major undertaking. As a single female traveling to multiple states for work, I always choose properties that offer food, so I don’t have to leave the hotel, especially after dark. I was denied access to the only restaurant in the hotel because I didn’t have a reservation. While waiting for my $20 glass of wine (literally sitting behind a rope at the hostess stand for 20 minutes after paying for my wine) I was told that there are several restaurants within walking distance. Great for all the ladies who want to stay safe at their hotel and not have to wander the streets of Atlanta to get something to eat. Ok, fine…. I will order food through an expensive food app because the W Buckhead is happy to turn down their paying guests. The level of service at this hotel was comparable to a $29 motel in the middle of nowhere. So disappointed, usually all Marriott properties, from Fairfield’s to W’s have impeccable service. . The W in Buckhead is sadly is lacking in their employees caring about anything. Truly disappointing for such an expensive property, I will never come back.…
This past week I stayed at the W in Buckhead and was quite disappointed in the service. Upon checking in I asked the front des k associate for my room number and was told it was written on the card key envelope. Once I looked at the envelope it wasn’t. Easy mistake however this was just the beginning of the horror. Once in my room I went to use the bathroom . Which I notice had a dirty wash cloths behind the door. I went to the front desk and asked for the bathroom to be cleaned, a modest request especially during a pandemic. I was told it would be immediate cleaned. I left the hotel for a few hours and returned only to find the bathroom in the same condition. I contacted the front desk again only to be told nothing could be done until the morning at 9:00 AM. In the morning around 9:30 AM I returned back to the front desk and I was promised again that the bathroom would be cleaned. I waited an hour and no one arrived . This time my girlfriend called and finial hospitality arrived with new towels one of which was soiled. Then 15 mins later a lady arrived to clean the bathroom. She was in there about 5 mins then left and guess what, she didn’t removed the wash cloth. I had to go and chase her down the hall to have her return to remove it. It took 4 request to have a bathroom clean in a 4 star hotel. For this inconvenience the front desk clerk promised to credit my bonvoy account enough points for a one night stay and remove the charge for valet parking. All I received was credit that I stay at the hotel for the night and was charged for valet parking. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel if you are concerned about social distancing. They do not enforce wearing mask. Housekeeping seems incapable of properly cleaning. Also, the front desk staff gives empty promises. I have stay at many W hotels through out the country because the service is usually excellent. The W Buckhead did not live up to this expectation. I have received better service at a Comfort Inn. For a hotel to have the slogan “whatever whenever” I expected a lot more and do not plan to stay at this location ever again.…
