this hotel is great and Quintin was the epitome of customer service, i would definitely nominate him for the general manager. very knowledgeable as well coachable and approachable. i will only stay at this hotel now cause of him WHENEVER I come to ATLanta.

After almost 2000 night at Marriott hotels it is the first time I have to wait until 11pm to get a room and I heard from others waiting that it may be a recurring problem at that property. I heard it may be because they serve BA crews and rotations with late checkouts do not work … a crew of 15 indeed showed up while I was waiting. Besides that, while waiting, I called Marriott for alternatives lodging options in the neighborhood. They called the Colee for a status and that annoyed the hotel staff who finally handed me a key at 11pm barely mentioning room number and elevator location without good night or apology for the wait. Retaliation anyone? Booked a king but got 2 twins which I am sure was not to be debated at the front desk considering the disgruntled tone used earlier. But worst of all … how did that hotel ever made it to the Autograph Collection? The only thing that matches the brand is “stays that will leave you speechless” … I am! It is an old W with cheap linen and limited amenities besides a Nespresso machine. I really wished Marriott moved me to an alternate property, even a Moxy or AC would have been a lot better. I like being walking distance from the office but will never come back here even if I have to commute. That hotel should not be part of the Marriott brand.…

easily the worst marriot hotel ive ever experienced. Air conditioning was broken. the tv was broken. the shower only had either cold or boiling hot water and made a loud noise. i suspect this room needed a lot of maintenance but they allowed people to stay in it regardless. also when i tried to check out the printer was broken and they just ignored me for like 30 minutes. i had to come back later just to get my receipt. epic fail. i told them at check out all the problems and they just said oh sorry. would you like your receipt emailed or printed? Dont think they cared honestly.

BUYER BEWARE. Seriously, as the old saying goes “you can put lipstick on a pig, but you still have a pig at the end of the day”. Do NOT be fooled by the pretty pictures of the lobby or anything you see on Instagram, this hotel is basically a glorified Super 8. To list this property as four stars is doing a disservice to two star motels. The rooms do not have dressers, you are expected to put your clothes in the two small drawers in the nightstand, or in the "closet" does not have doors. Oh, you want a desk? Sorry, fresh out of those. But my room has a useless chaise longue wedged between the bed and window, not to mention a round table with one chair. (Seriously, WTF) I do not smoke and like other reviewers this hotel is attempting to charge me for smoking in my room. If you search for the word "smoke" in their Google reviews, you’ll see a repeated history of this property lodging specious charges against guests. I am here for work and I have multiple coworkers who needed to change rooms multiple times, with reasoned ranging from no control over water temperature in their showers to air conditioners not working to noise leaking into the room from the nightclub on top of the building to running toilets to inoperable air conditioners , and the list goes on and on and on and on. Again, buyer beware. Manager: your reply here is meaningless. You have my contact info. You would be better off sleeping in your car, something which I saw a guest offer to do after waiting 90 minutes for a room at 10 PM.…

If you plan to stay at the Hotel Colee in Atlanta/Buckhead area, please be advised that you could find additional charges on your bill the day after you check out. I stayed at this hotel from 10/7 to 10/9 and on 10/10 a charge of $250 appeared on my credit card for a smoking fee. When I called to inquire about this and to explain that I do not smoke (anything) and did not do so that day, I was told that the sensor went off at 6:48am. This was the same time that I opened the door to go down and checkout. I just kept being told that they stand by the sensor. Sensors malfunction or something could have come in from the hall, but no one cares how frustrating it is to know that you did not do anything but will not be believed. It is commendable that they are committed to a smoke free environment, I am also, and have never smoked a day in my life and I DID NOT SMOKE that morning. The customer service that I have encountered is unsympathetic, downright rude and unfortunately as a longtime Marriott rewards member, I am sorry to say I will never stay in a Marriott again.…

All associates have been trained to respond to potential violations of the policy. Guests are reminded at the time of booking and upon arrival at the hotel that smoking is not permitted inside the building. Pre-arrival email notifications also include a reference to the policy. There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition. I have the pleasure of hosting a meeting in Atlanta this week where the Hotel Colee is one of three properties in use. To say that I won the prize of staying at Hotel Colee is an understatement- I love the Kitsch design , the amazing location (adjacent to Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza - a girls free time dream ) , excellent restaurants nearby ( South City Kitchen across the street ) . The meeting space is perfect t for small breakouts and a larger ballroom suffices for a general session or celebration. I could ramble on and on but the piece de resistance is the staff … they say that the people make it and that is evident at Hotel Colee. Any service oriented business should study how they hire and train here . The staff is amazing - always smiling , always going the extra mile - never a shortcut ! While each one deserves credit as it does take a village I have to give special shout outs to Steve - he is a master of all - engineering, deliveries , set up - I don’t think there was a place I didn’t see him pitching in - his motto as he hands you a piece of candy saying “if you call me , I’ll TWIX it “ what a guy !! Then there is Jennifer in F&B who works tirelessly to deliver top notch service - be it in Sister restaurant , banquets or room service - she does it all ! I booked this hotel for family and friends, since we were having an event in the area. Upon check out, my sister was charged $250 for smoking in the room. Not only does my sister not smoke, but she was not in the room when the supposed sensor went off. I felt bad since I recommended the hotel and I called the hotel the next morning and spoke to Jennifer. I was told a manager above her needs to adjust this off and she would get back to me that same day. Of course, no call! The next day I called and spoke to Jennifer again and she transferred me to her manager. Unfortunately, it was a line with no voice mail so I was stuck. I called again and asked to speak to the General Manager, Angela. I have now left 3 messages for Angela with no call back. I am a Marriott owner and a Platinum member. We travel quite a bit and truthfully I have never had customer service this bad. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else if you are in the area. There are so many other choices and there is no reason to stay at a place that really does not care about the customer…

The hotel is well located next to Lenox Square shopping mall and Peachtree Road. The room was fine although the bathroom was on the small side. The hotel appeared to be understaffed. One valet, one person at reception. The waiters for breakfast seemed inexperienced. We were eager to get out of town but breakfast and checkout seemed to take forever.
