I am completely and saddened and disappointed into what this hotel has turned into due to the pandemic. My Husband and I last stayed here in May of 2019 and the customer svc and level of class here was Top Notch. Now, as we pulled up, it felt like we were walking up to the club or something. What happened? Then we walked in and girls half dressed, and the building smelled like smoke and weed. Then as we headed up to our room, we realized those girls weren’t going to a club, but were visiting rooms here!! Has this turned into an upscale brothel or something??? Then as we get off the elevator the smell of weed is MUCH stronger and I was wearing a double mask. Then we saw food on the floor of the hallways and someone’s MARTA bus pass on the floor. So again... rather than renting by the hour, ur renting by the night. My 11 yr old daughter was supposed to be joining us, but due to Covid, I didn’t think it was safe, and I’m glad I didn’t bring her b/c she does need to be exposed to this mess.

I usually stay at Marriott hotels in the Buckhead area but I was feeling adventurous and wanted to check into the Marriott Marquis due to the fact that it is a tall hotel and I always have wanted to have a room with views of Downtown Atlanta so I made a reservation. I sent a message through the mobile app requesting a suite and I was given one right away by the friendly staff and then when I checked in on my phone and requested a mobile key to be sent to my phone so I could bypass the desk especially during COVID-19, and the mobile key was sent to my phone right away and it worked great to access my suite on 38 with amazing views of Downtown Atlanta. I requested a thick blanket and extra towels through the app as well and the friendly staff brought them to my door in minutes. The staff at this property are very friendly and considerate of the guests as the next morning several elevators were down and the staff directed guests to use the service elevators to allow better flow throughout the hotel. Staff also takes great precautions to ensure safety during COVID-19 with mask use, hand sanitising stations and staff cleaning around the hotels at all times. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have amazing views of Atlanta and be treated like a valued guest. I truly believe this hotel values all guests and they showed that my titanium status means something to them!

I have been staying at Marriott Hotels for as long as I can remember. The Atlanta Marriott Marquis at one time was a top notch hotel. First issue... I came in from a red eye and checked in. Walk into the room and just wanted to take a shower. NO HOT WATER. waited. Waited. Turned it off and on. Cold to hot. NOTHING. Ended up taking a cold shower. Called down to the desk... was put on hold.. and then waited again... and no one came back and I had to leave. Fast forward to right now. I get back from a business meeting dinner... night out. And I want to take a shower.... NO HOT WATER... OMG. so I called down ... “Hi. I am in room 1724 and I have no hot water” Front desk: “you have to keep the shower on for at least 20 min before it gets hot”. “I’m sorry, What did you say?” Front desk “ you need to keep the water running for 20 min before it starts to get hot” Honestly..... I have never ever heard a response like this. WHAT????? Are you serious. I have stayed at Marriott hotels and have NEVER encountered this type of response. Water waste. Cold shower. Certainly not a MARQUIS MARRIOTT. SO DISAPPOINTED. Ready to move hotels for the rest of my stay for sure!

Where do I even start. Check in was horrible l. Arrived early asked if we could check in a little early as we were coming into town because my child was to be walking in a fashion show explained that to the reception and she said no can't help with that but she could put me on a wait list and they would call as soon as the room was ready. So no place to get ready so missed the show. Sat for over an hour in the lobby as people were coming in after us and were receiving key cards to their rooms upon checkin..hmm . Decided to catch an uber to go eat and kill time. Gone over 2hrs now we are pushing 4pm I arrived before 12pm I decided to go to the reception and inquire about our room to only then be told that they forgot to call us or wait the excuse was they were missing a number from my phone number and thats why they had not called me when room was ready at 12pm..huh? So now 4hrs later. Needless to say I accept keys go to room and this room looks like skid row. It is FILTHY. I waited for hours for this? I wrapped my blanket that I bring for plane around my pillow to lay my head on as I contemplated getting another room in the area as I was one foot out the door because I was afraid that wasnt clean either. No sitting on the toilet seat forget about it. The coffee machine was broken. Even the elevators were filthy with stains Need I say more? I return to reception to only find a line with other guest with similar complaints all expressing and sharing the same disappointment another guest presented towels from room that looked like someone cleaned off a cars oily dip stick. DISGUSTING. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I am highly disappointed in the chain and brand. Roooms disgusting hallways disgusting elevator disgusting, pictures they advertise no where to be found although the hotel is astheticallly pleasing to the eye. I dont know where or why they post the pictures they post but this is absolutely not what we received or paid for. I say steer clear of this Marriott until major improvements are made. It is a dirty, disgusting disappointment for Marriott. Andres is the only positive thing that this Marriott location has going for them. Andres had done everything in his power to right these wrongs but FIRST impressions are the most lasting and I hope that this is not what is to come of future stays at Marriott. Never had i expected this from Marriott.
