Just want to give a shout out to the Marquis. I chose to park here for a two day conference elsewhere in downtown. The service was impeccable, from the greeting by valet and the doorman, to the concierge team and folks in the Coffee Shop. The hotel was buzzing, and seemed very busy, this did not detract from the personal service I received every step of the way. All I did was park for the day... I am sure the room and restaurant experience is fantastic.

I experienced a frustrated 45 minutes trying to sort the lack of internet in my room and on my devices. After being passed from pillow to post (not good customer service I must admit) and then having to go back to reception, I was told an engineer would meet me at my room to look at the internet issue. Donny was the nicest friendliest man who made me feel completely at ease. What a lovely guy to work for Mariott Donny your an asset to the hotel and hope you keep making customers smile. Your customer service is second to non and I hope whoever else has any engineering issues takes the time to write about how wonderful you were. Kind regards julie

I stayed at this establishment and the accommodations were great, however the trip concluded on a sour note. I checked out of the hotel room #4127 at noon on Friday September 13th, and unfortunately did not realize until the next morning, Saturday, September 14th at 9 AM that I had left two personal items (Joe’s jeans and designer belt) in the small closet where are the ironing board and iron warehouse. Immediately upon realizing this, and knowing exactly where I had left the items, I contacted the hotel and was directed to loss prevention. Loss prevention stated they could not locate my items. After realizing the items were not in my suitcase after less than 24 hours, it seems highly unlikely that they were not recovered after I checked out and prior to the next guest checking in. I left my information with the hotel property, but I am not hopeful that my items will be returned which is very unfortunate.

We had a 40th floor room with a great view. No complaints there. If you stay here - try to get a high floor room! My issue is with (1) the comfort of the bed. I'm late forties in age so take this with a grain of salt. For the first time in a very, very long time - I woke up with a backache. A bad one. The mattress is one of these single mattress systems. I'm officially not a fan. The bathroom was pretty small. The lighting is out of the 1960's. Turn on any light and it kills ANY ambiance in the room. The $28 burger was brought to my room - get this - in a brown paper bag. By the way - it was delicious. I took a picture for anyone who wants proof. When it comes to hotels in this price point - there are other brands that are way ahead of the Marriott Marquis.

This hotel is always top notch. The newly renovated rooms are modern and stylish. I am glad to see hardwood floors in favor of carpet. The lobby is amazing and it's located close to everything you want to see in Atlanta.
