    This hotel is the poorest excuse for a Ritz Carlton... Asked to have my eggs cooked in butter and they outright refused... Ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was so old and the smell was disgusting... They have no problem charging big bucks though... Two days in a row the front desk couldn’t break a twenty dollar bill so I could tip the car valet...

When we checked in, we instantly knew we didn’t want to stay the night at this hotel and wanted to book something in a safer feeling / more walkable location... We informed the front desk about 15 minutes after check in that we would like to cancel our accommodations because we were not comfortable... We were told that the area had declined since midtown had become more popular and that we could not avoid the 1 night minimum charge as we had already checked in 15 minutes ago... We cancelled our second night and rebooked in a safer location at less than half the price of the Ritz... But, it is certainly not worth the price and is absolutely not meeting the high bar of the Ritz Carlton brand...

    The Ritz Atlanta is top notch. Our experience was phenomenal from start to finish!... Mr. Curt with Guest Services was 10 steps ahead of everything we needed, he went above and beyond to get our bags to us within seconds, share events going on in the area and make sure to give my 13 year olds son the same respect... He is truly an asset to the Ritz Carlton company... The staff members were superb and attentive to all of our needs... My sons allergies were acting up and at 2am I called downstairs to see if they had any medicine and within 4 minutes they were kind enough to bring up some so I didn’t have to even leave the room... I will have to say the valet department was the most well oiled machine I have ever seen... They were all on the same page and in sync how to excel customer expectations... Randy,Meshia,Carlos, Tom the same, even when we didn’t have our valet slip they smiled and made it happen...

    I just got home from my stay at the Ritz in downtown Atlanta... The valets were especially nice and really went out of their way to open doors and help find our cars each morning... All of the staff that I talked to were so helpful, including the sweet woman in the workout center who made sure there were fresh towels... I loved the espresso machine for a quick caffeine jolt in the morning or after a long day of work... I also enjoyed Jittery Joe’s (do yourself a favor and try the Nutella Cappuccino!)... I can’t wait to come back and stay here again- hopefully with a beautiful view of Atlanta next time!... Thanks for a wonderful experience during my work conference!...

My sons allergies were acting up and at 2am I called downstairs to see if they had any medicine and within 4 minutes they were kind enough to bring up some so I didn’t have to even leave the room... Randy,Meshia,Carlos, Tom the same, even when we didn’t have our valet slip they smiled and made it happen... We can’t wait to stay there next time we are in town...

I’ve actually never stayed at this hotel but I had to ship my dad a FedEx package as he was staying here for a few nights on business. I knew the package arrived and didn’t give it another thought. George ended up calling me within maybe 1-2 hours of the package arriving. George was honestly the nicest person I think I’ve ever spoken with on the phone. He couldn’t make out who the package was for and wanted to make sure it was given to the right guest. I just felt compelled to compliment George for brightening my day with his friendly and polite demeanor. I’m not sure what department he works in, but he’s a star.

I have stayed at this location four times and each time I hoped for better service. You stay at Ritz for a great experience, trust me - you will not get it here. I am a Marriott Titanium member and gave this location an opportunity to “make it right” and the response I received from Hope - Manager on Duty was. “your profile is showing a basic level Bonvoy membership”. Even though I have stayed over 80 nights this year at Marriott, I didn’t know having beyond a “basic” membership was a prerequisite for decent service from the hotel staff. Needless to say, I canceled all future reservations I had here. If you are loyal to Marriott and staying in Atlanta, go stay at The Glenn or JW. This location had Very POOR service. I expected better.

1 … all I can say is WOW the worst experience that my wife an I had to endure. I wanted to take my wife somewhere nice for our 30 yr anniversary . It was not the Ritz Carlton . The shower overhead had rust and was dirty it was dirt in the cracks of the doors I could say a lot more but you get it My wife is disabled it took for ever to bring wheelchair to our room room service for breakfast, and it was nasty I had save up for this trip I thought it would be experience that my wife would never forget I was so wrong 🙄

This was the most disappointing visit I've ever had at a Ritz-Carlton location. First, it's much smaller than the other locations I've visited and there are very limited locations to work or socialize that aren't in a restaurant, but I can't hold that against the hotel. What lacked at this hotel which I've always loved about the RC is the customer service. The RC has always had such excellent service and this location was lacking. We purchased a package that included breakfast and tried several times to find out the details of what the breakfast package included. First, we asked when we checked in. The representative had a very thick accent and was difficult to understand and although we asked her several times about the details, she was unable to answer and kept pointing us to a flyer that had hotel information and menus. We wanted to know what the breakfast credit was but couldn't get an answer. We tried again later at the front desk with another gentleman and still couldn't get an answer. We went to breakfast and asked the hostess and she said she'd find out and then forgot about us. She later came and apologized and said that they would comp our breakfast and we could use the credit for another meal, which was fine. When we checked out the man told us that the meal had not been taken care of and since we had a breakfast package and had eaten breakfast, we had no further credit. This is the kind of service I expect at a Days Inn, and not the Ritz-Carlton. I paid good money for good service and did not receive it. We won't be returning to this location. On a positive note, the guys in the parking circle and our bellman were excellent. They gave us tips about the city and were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Too bad the rest of the staff aren't on par with them.

The hotel is far from what I’ve come to expect from a Ritz-Carlton property. First, the hotel is dated and lacks an overall sense of cleanliness. And immediately after checking in, I attempted to call AT LEAST 15 TIMES to the bell station and to then subsequently to the front desk to request the complimentary shoe shine. My calls from the room phone were never answered. Finally, I dialed the external hotel number from my cell phone and the call was answered after numerous rings. And the complimentary shine (for which I gave a pre-service tip of $10) looked like it was done by a first grader. It’s clear from these poor service examples as well as with my staff interactions that core hotel management issues exists at this property. Hopefully, Marriott corporate can turn things around. Oh, and after checkout I received a revised portfolio with and $18.49 charge for the mini bar. I didn’t even know there was one in the room! SMH

Personally I would avoid the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta Downtown. My room was just so-so. Upon arriving early a king room was not available but I was assured by the gentleman at the front desk that the two queen room was identical in every way except that it had two beds and not one. This turned out to not be the case, the room also lacked a desk. In addition, the bathroom has not been fully remodeled like the king rooms have. There is an old tub and sink fixture. Initially I found none of this to be that big a deal as I was happy to have a room at 10am. It went downhill from there. In the morning my tub filled with water as I showered. Again, I figured no big deal I’ll let them know at the front desk. I did and they assured me it would be taken care of. Next morning, 4 inches of water in the tub by the time I finished showering. I let them know again and asked to speak to a manager who was not available but would call me back. I was called back and he assured me the problem would be fixed. And he’d call me back to confirm. He never called back. Upon arriving back to my room I decided to check on the tub and sure enough it still did not drain. Unreal. Add to this, unbelievably slow service in the lobby bar. Like beyond believable. I’ve stayed here before and it was not like this. Again, I share this to let you all know it could be iffy but your experience is likely to be different. There were bright spots. Carman, our server at breakfast both days was fantastic. Also Wallace who drives the Escalade for the hotel is an amazing person. Much of the rest of the staff seems poorly trained and relatively new to their jobs. If it’s not that I don’t know what’s happened to this place.

This review is long overdue. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel as we worked our way through the attractions in Atlanta. The staff at the hotel are absolutely fabulous, especially in the main restaurant, where we are each morning and on two nights as well. Everyone went out of their way to greet us and take care of us. My daughter even commented that she was blown away by how nice everyone is at the hotel. The location is great for walking to many of the downtown attractions. A special touch was the two jars of jelly beans set out each day for guests to enjoy. I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing staff. I would like to specifically acknowledge their team member Rohan who embodied what customer-centered service really is. We had just dined at the restaurant and were considering leaving but my significant other wanted a photo. Rohan happened to be attending to a matter nearby but turned and attended to us like it was the most important matter of the day. This may seem like it's not in line with the core experience at a hotel, but as a Marriott Titanium member for some time, it was an experience which is distinct and reflected a staff who takes pride in serving their guests in any possible way they can. I arrived and was checked in to a 3x downgraded room. I booked a city view higher floor king room. What I received was a mid floor no view double Queen room. The fridge was missing out of the cupboard, the bathtub was rusting and while the tv worked, there was no cable just dead blank channels. When I requested to be moved, I was informed that it was not possible until day 4 of my 6 day trip. Friends of mine that were also there did not receive any response when calling to order room service, so they ordered Uber Eats (of which the front desk lost for a period of time). I certainly expected much much more out of a luxury hotel. While the front desk staff were friendly, they were not well knowledgeable. The concierge and bellman were the best part of the experience. Always there for assistance and conversation. Late Friday I found that I had to leave the following day (instead of Sunday). I was informed that they would be charging me as per my reservation, so an extra night charge would be applied regardless if I was there or not. Disappointing that from the start to the end of my stay, they had no idea how to deal with a Bonvoy member, who is very loyal to the Marriott brand. Unfortunately when in Atlanta again, I will choose a better property to stay at.

Location is perfect to the airport, the Staff is warm, and the decor is classic and contemporary. This is a place to relax after a long day! Great people indeed.
