1st let me say I expected more from a Ritz-Carlton. Now the food at AG was amazing. Staff at the front desk were wonderful. However, rooms need to be updated & the kicker, I got ate up by bedbugs. I reported it & after a "thorough" investigation by hotel & a 3rd party, no evidence of bedbugs were found in room 1503, yet the bites on my legs & feet prove otherwise. I will NEVER recommend this hotel.

Dear J8010DAdanielles, thank you for sharing your kind comments on our wonderful team members you encountered at our front desk and in our AG restaurant - we take much pride in delivering highly personalized service and genuine care to our valued guests and as such take any concerns, either related to comfort, service or cleanliness and the overall experience, very seriously. We have built our longstanding reputation on creating excellence, but also from learning from any shortcomings - allow us to connect directly once more about your serious concern, as our internal protocol was indeed followed, by involving experts and their finding in the assessment of the room condition. Our bedding is comprised of down feathers and can, in rare cases, result in skin reactions. We appreciate your concern and want to assure you that the genuine care and comfort, as well as our pledge to provide the finest personal service and facilities, are part of our guiding principles and as such have every intention of living up to those promises. Sincerely,

The Ritz Carlton downtown Atlanta is the best choice in an area full of large, impersonal convention hotels; however, it has a few drawbacks that make it less than a true 5 star experience. Pros: -Bell staff are exceptionally helpful. -The Club lounge is fantastic! There are 5 different food presentations daily. You can also get anything you would like to drink including alcoholic drinks. The Club staff are extremely friendly and service oriented. -Rooms are nicely furnished. Cons: -Rooms are the smallest of any RC hotel I've stayed at. The bathrooms, especially, are really tiny. -Housekeeping is spotty - great some days, and other days I had to call to get our room made up and no turn down service on one night. -Hard to get special requests taken care of. I had neck pain after the first night due to the too soft pillows. I called and asked if there was a pillow menu (as is common in many luxury hotels), but there wasn't. Then I simply requested a memory foam pillow or the firmest pillow style they had. I was assured it would be delivered to my room quickly; however, it never showed up. It took 3 more requests over the course of the day before the new pillow was finally delivered to my room at 10 pm. After all that, the new pillow was only minutely firmer than what I already had. -Front desk staff not great. At checkout at 5:30 am, we were told that we couldn't get a print out of our bill because the computer system was being rebooted. Staff said that they would email our final receipt to us. When we received the final receipt email, we found that we had been double-charged the entire fee for the Club lounge (over $900 was incorrectly charged)! Of course, this necessitated a phone call to the hotel to correct. We are still going to have to double check our credit card to make sure that the incorrect charge is actually refunded. A real hassle.

Great service, clean Room, and customer service were excellent. Friendly staff. Great location. Stayed for 4 nights. I got a room with two queen beds for kids and a connected room with a king bed. I'm glad the time we checked in the receptionist told me about club access. We love everything. Breakfast lunch snack drink… Worth each Penny and the friendly staff. I recommend to families and business trips

Location is good and property is nice, but poor service for a Ritz Carlton and food was mediocre. I ordered room service and food was delivered cold and late. Room was spacious and clean, excellent mattress and pillows. Location is convenient to conference center and centennial park.

A great start to a 5 week roadtrip. We flew into Altanta and stayed a couple of nights before continuing and certainly started on a high choosing the Ritz Carlton. Beautiful hotel, rooms were elegant and bathrooms huge. Breakfast was really good and service was great. The Club lounge is certainly the hotels jewel and the offerings were substantial but more importantly the team in club were so welcoming and friendly. Christina and Jerome looked after us so well - we didn't want to leave! Overall a perfect stay

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta was exceptional. I am a repeat guest, and one of the main reasons I stay here is that this hotel retains the “old-school” Ritz ambiance-traditional elegance (crystal chandeliers, dark paneling, butler-type dress). It’s such a refreshing touch for a beautiful weekend. I stayed at the club level, and they have stepped it up since COVID-19, which is better than any Ritz I have stayed at. The food & beverage presentations now include a “semi-formal” dinner with steak on the menu each night. It’s indeed turned into an all-inclusive experience. Also, it was so refreshing to see the GM in the club lounge twice daily engaging with this is a rarity, but it keeps the club’s standards pristine. The staff were incredibly amazing. Also, despite this being a “city hotel” and not a resort, the hotel has gone out of its way to provide an “experiential” aspect to almost all parts of the hotel. For example, in the afternoon, in the lobby, there is a delicious “peach jelly bean” presentation. The restaurant's experiential aspect is the lovely “Atlanta Peach” dessert with fresh peaches and peach-shaped sponge cake. In the Club, there were multiple presentation offerings with peaches. All of these are reminiscent of an authentic Georgia experience (peach state) and enhanced my stay. There are far too many staff members to list with whom I engaged, but below are some standouts. Nyla Cartier created a “wow story” for me at check-in. While browsing the gift shop. I casually expressed my interest in acquiring a tie bearing the Ritz-Carlton logo but (not at all surprised) was informed of the store's lack of availability of such an item. As a child, I first saw the tie at a Ritz gift shop in 2006. I expressed my disappointment to Nyla and explained that I had been searching for a Ritz-Carlton logoed tie for 18 years. Nyla expressed her regret for not fulfilling my request and informed me that she had not seen any Ritz-Carlton logoed ties in the Atlanta gift shop or during her travels. Later in the afternoon, upon returning to my room, I noticed that the exact tie I admired at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco in 2006 was laid out on my desk, along with a warm welcome note from Nyla. In the note, she hoped this gesture would end my 18-year search for the tie. Her thoughtfulness deeply moved me, and I have never experienced such a considerate gesture. Club---The club team was doting, accommodating all wishes without being overbearing. I’ve never had better club staff care for me. Gigi, Jerome, Deniz, Christina, and Hazel were especially notable. Thank you for taking such excellent care of me. Jerome gets praise for opening up about the other Ritz-Carlton hotels he has worked/stayed in, including the Ritz St. Thomas. St. Thomas is now on my “bucket list.” He is a super-excellent brand ambassador. Housekeeping---Liliana Trejo (housekeeping) was especially notable for her kindness, helping me pack and sending me a thoughtful amenity. Liliana was a friendly face I looked forward to seeing each day. Meranda was always so pleasant at the turndown service. Both ladies helped enhance my Spanish dialogue skills, which is always helpful! Front desk---Carl (overnight) assisted me with multiple late night inquiries. He also send me such a sweet card and note to my room the following day. Barbara Toth (manager) assisted me with several requests in-person, and via email. She is a consummate professional and is obviously skilled at hotel management. Dorian Davis (manager) was always friendly and engaging. Victoria Hayes (manager) was always a bright face who checked in on me multiple times during my stay in the club. Victoria was especially elegant in her presentation and would be a prime candidate for promotion within the Ritz company. Annalena Renz also assisted me with pre-planning via email. She was thorough and professional and exhibited excellent guest experience skills. F&B---Anthony Appie was an excellent “lobby ambassador,” attending the peach jelly bean presentations each night. He also sent me a warm note and bubbly to my room. This was a great surprise. Thank you, Ritz Atlanta, for a beautiful stay.

I was really excited when I was able to upgrade to an executive suite using my rewards at this hotel. Boy was it a disappointment. Checked in to the room. Found half the lamps didn’t work and there was a smell in the room. Found trash in one of the dresser drawers. Inspected the area around the coffee maker and smelled old pizza. Opened one of the drawers and found a half eaten pizza in the drawer. Went down to the front desk and was moved to another executive suite. Inspected that room and found it wasn’t clean either. There were sticky drink rings all over the tables and none of the countertops had been cleaned. I was traveling for work and most of the hotels in downtown Atlanta were booked so checking out wasn’t feasible and at this point I didn’t want to be moved again so I went to the front desk and asked for sanitizing wipes. I spent over an hour using Lysol wipes cleaning my upgraded suite. No one called th check to see if the second room is satisfactory after sending a guest to a room with another guests half eaten food in it. Now the Ritz is supposed to be known for their luxury beds but I could not figure out why I could not get comfortable. So I inspected the mattress. The mattress was a Stearns and Foster at one point but it was over 7 years old and stained. It did have a featherbed cover. In that the featherbed was ancient and spilling loose feathers all over the mattress. The “Frette” sheets were what you’d get at a hospital ER. Ancient, stained and ripped on the corners. I had considered purchasing bedding through the Ritz online boutique but I won’t be making that purchase after this. On top of that the elevators shake the whole building. I was down the hall and every time the elevator moved it shook the walls and caused an incessant squeaking noise all night. Between the squeaky elevator and the lumpy ancient bed good luck getting restful sleep. The large bathroom looks impressive with a large tub. But carefully time when you decide to use it because it’s not likely you’ll get any hot water. The last day as I was packing to leave I noticed a foul odor of sewage or standing water coming from somewhere. There is a fridge in the room. But it’s a minibar. They’ll charge you $25 to emptying if you want to use the fridge. Or they’ll charge a $3 restocking fee if you remove or use any of the items. And speaking of the fridge. The one in my room hasn’t been defrosted in ages and was leaking water all over everything. Getting into the place is a hassle. The valet stand is always full and there’s no easy place to park your car to self load your luggage and check in. As I was struggling to move my luggage to the check in counter no one held the door for me. No bellman at a “5 star” hotel. Yes the lobby looks nice. There is artwork and chandeliers everywhere and it’s a “Luxury” brand. And it’s not the *worst* place I’ve stayed. But I’ve had cleaner, and quieter rooms at a budget brand hotel. At the end of the day you can’t sleep in the lobby. Basically staying at this luxury branded hotel is about like buying a knock off Gucci bag. It has a luxury label. You might not notice it’s a rip off at first. But if you open it up you’ll notice it smells funny. And before a “manager” from the hotel finds this review and gives the usual speech about “Dear Valued Guest. We’re sorry about your experience. This is not up to our standards, etc etc…” (we all know the same speech) . Let me just say these are in fact YOUR standards. They are not luxury 5 star hotel standards. They are not Marriott standards or even the most basic of hotel standards. But they are your standards The negative reviews on Marriotts website about the cleanliness of this place go back years. I got 2 executive suites that retail for $1000 per night and both rooms were filthy. And nothing was done about it. And given that the reviews about cleanliness issues go back years it’s likely it won’t change. I’m just lucky that this upgrade was a platinum level suite night award and I didn’t pay the full $1000-$1200 per night price.

Extremely expensive as in 400-500 a night out of season. Rooms are quiet and comfortable in the middle of atlanta. One room I was given had a massive wet patch on the carpet - 6 feet wide and growing. They moved me in 30 minutes with no compensation for inconvenience. The next time I stayed my room had no hot water. Other people were complaining at the front desk. No compensation for all taking cold showers. Motel 6 treatment. Restaurant had good if overpriced food but service was very slow. As in 20 minutes to get a bowl of cereal. Personnel all very friendly but clearly not up to ritz standards.

Stayed in Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta for three nights as part of a work trip. Nicely located in down town Atlanta. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. I did not make use of breakfast at the hotel, there are plenty of places to get breakfast close to the hotel.
