Shakeera (sp?) at the check-in counter was phenomenal. So to was the entire Valet staff. The room was great. The location is within walking distance of the heart of downtown. I know because we walked it :). The staff at the AG restaurant on site was also great, specifically Jahid (sp?).
The Ritz Carlton Atlanta is situated in a prime location near The World of Coke, College football Hall of Fame, Atlanta’s Aquarium, and The Mercedes Benz Stadium. They are all within walking distance. Elizabeth Barker in the Executive offices made sure our reservation was in place prior to arrival. Not a detail was missed to make the stay a perfect one. Under the direction of the GM, Mr. Erwin Schinnerl who we have followed from the Buckhead location, all runs splendidly. He has put together an excellent team! The hotel is meticulous and very well kept. The rooms themselves are well appointed and spacious. You will have a restful sleep in the very comfortable beds. As far as the staff goes, you will meet two friendly faces upon check-in. Kerry Robbins and Frederick Burwell are the Guest Arrival Experts who will make your first impression of the Ritz a pleasant one. If you choose to stay on the Club Level, you will be met with 5 scrumptious tastings throughout the day and Antoinette will take care of your every need. She knows how to take the Ritz Experience to another level. This property is one that we would recommend when visiting Atlanta.…
First the location - it isn't great. To be fair the entire downtown area is something to avoid. I had to step over people sleeping on the street and needles on the sidewalk - very sad. Rooms are nice and well appointed. The bar is small and understaffed. I waited a good 30 minutes for someone to take a drink and food order and when it finally came (30 minutes later) it was completely wrong. When I kindly corrected the waitress I didn't get an apology, I got an attitude. There were also prostitutes at the bar in the evening. The place has a lot of potential but it's far from a Ritz Carlton experience.
For starters The towels were cheesy, cheap and smelled like vinegar, not sure what it was. The set of towels came with stains. The toiletries were smaller than any Ritz that I have stayed in worldwide. The housekeeping came to clean our room and instead of replacing the used toiletries, she left the used ones and did not add new ones, simply ridiculous. The valet parking is a mess, you arrive nobody to greet you, instead they are talking to each other and you have to interrupt them to hand your car keys. I would not stay at this property again.
My wife and I come here every year for a convention and this is our first year trying the Ritz. We have only been to a few others but this one was above and beyond our favorite. We were upgraded to a beautiful king corner room with tons of space and a walk in shower. The only downside to the room was not enough drawer space for all of our clothes. I dislike having to live out of suitcases. While we didn’t pay for the club lounge this time around, we were able to get a tour of it for the future. The staff seemed really nice and the display of food looked amazing. We have been here prior years in the restaurant AG for breakfast and we always return because we love it. Huge shoutout to Carmen, she remembered our groups orders every day. She definitely deserves a raise.
Stayed on business for 3 nights and found this hotel to be really average, especially for a Ritz. First night, the bathroom door wedged itself shut and locked from the outside - concierge came and opened it with a...butter knife. Said this happens all the time and that was the only way to fix it (what?!). Also, the bathroom (for a Ritz) was an average standing shower in a cramped mid-range fixture bathroom, really nothing to write home about. Room overall also was pretty drab, no view, dark tones and low ceilings. All in all very unimpressive. Now that I think of it, check in was the same. Bummer overall. Wouldn't stay here on my own dollar. Alas. One bright spot: ask the concierge for access to the Red Phone Booth - a speakeasy around the corner. A bit smoky, but good drinks.…
We always have a good time at the Ritz. The last few occasions have been a little loud and crowded but its unpredictable. The staff, valet and service is always nice. My young son felt welcomed and enjoyed the activities for kids. We had a blast with the smores in the lobby.
My husband and I treated ourselves to an overnight stay at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Check in and out was smooth and very efficient. The lobby is beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the live music and cocktails in the lobby on the evening of our anniversary and coffee service in our room the following morning. It was a good stay. Only one hiccup, we got stuck in the elevator for 10 to 15 minutes, I was happy to see hotel maintenance on the job when the doors opened.
Ideal place for business travel and company meetings. Everyone on staff was helpful, pleasant, and professional. I was here for two days of meetings and never actually left the property given the quality of the dining options and event catering on-site. A very seamless experience.
The absolute best customer service in the business. Staff was so attentive and accommodation at every turn. Have to give a shot out to Wallace- the MVP of the Ritz. An absolute star! Had a great dinner at Atlanta Grille as well- Mohammed was fantastic! Thank you for a great stay, we will be back in August!
