Could be sooo much more better. Two people working check in. They were very nice but you could tell over worked. The girl that check us in was from another (sister) hotel and management was giving her an orientee. I guess when you are good you are good. She was even surprised. Housekeeping did an great job. They provided room service. The hotel is in a great location especially if going to a braves game. They do lock their doors at 9. So if going to a game you have to walk all the way around the building. With that being said they need a place for people in wheelchairs/strollers to walk as they can’t maneuver this devices down all the stairs etc. The pool area needed some work. The bottom of pool had paint coming up. Doesn’t seem like it’s well maintained. The workout area was nice. Also if you could put up curtain/add special walkway for guest as it’s on level two where conference is being held. You can’t even go to restrooms and take a back way. Stayed 23-26 Monday Subway was closing at like 1300. I’m like it’s still lunch time but restaurants in hotel wasn’t open yet. They were out of a lot of things. Ate there Tuesday for lunch and one of the wives in conference only had $100.00 bill and they didn’t even take it. She was a diabetic and had to eat so I bought her lunch.…
Enjoyed a four-night stay at this property for a work conference. Check-in was a breeze, and they were able to accommodate my preference for a room near the elevator The room itself was large, with a king bed, a desk, separate lounge chair and plenty of floor space. The room also had a mini-fridge. The conference included several catered meals- which were surprisingly good quality for hotel fare. Location-wise, you can easily walk across the pedestrian bridges to a ton of shops and restaurants- or to the Battery for a Braves game. Would definitely stay here again- hoping our conference returns to this location in 2023.
we stayed at the waverly years ago and we enjoyed it then and had a good EASTER weekend stay. front desk was very nice and Tangela gave us a late check out for our departure Sunday. the dry sauna and steam room were great. the steam was not working Sunday morning but maintence fixed it quickly and we were grateful. the pool jacuzzi was cooler then normal but maintence turned up tthe water temp per our request and we were thankful. when we were checking out today the elevator on the right side when facing all the working lifts, did not stop level to the 11th floor. my wife tripped and almost fell into the glass wall of lift. she is ok but that needs to be addressed. the pillows are still too flat but i carried my own so no problems for us. restaurant staff was great saturday night. our waitress was very prompt and friendly and our CROWN and COKE was delicious. great weekend.…
Service needs a lot of improvement , front desk had one person doing everything and had a bad attitude. Room phone was not working throughout our stay. We stayed 3 nights and provided with only two soaps , no replacement of coffee creamer. I am giving two stars because of bed which was comfy and clean otherwise I would not have stayed at all.
Pillows are flat, Ice/vending machines and hotel room phone didnt work so your obligated to go to service desk and get a soda. Restaurant scrambled eggs were very runny. Bed was very hard, tried to get pillows and they didnt help as they were also flat. Housekeeping lady was very happy and helpful. Service desk was helpful but didnt know how to accomidate properly.
I use to stay here all the time when, when my husband had to come to town for business. The front desk staff use to be so amazing, especially that guy who use to work on the elite check in, I wish I could remember his name I believe it started with a D. David, Dennis, or Danny it was something like that. He was the only one that was good at the job. Now all you get is "I don't know" and "I'm not sure" and my favorite is everyone only recommending Maggianos for dinner! The shuttle service is pretty reliable Brain does a great job of transporting you the the mall and back. The rooms could be cleaned better, hence dusty and smells of mold. And that Galleria mall is a joke! It's something out of a horror film!
I paid an additional ~$50 for access to the private club lounge. This amenity was not available for the entirety of my stay, and I was offered a substitute breakfast at the restaurant, which I declined. I requested a refund for this amenity that I paid for, but was not available, and am being told that I will not get a refund for it. This is absurd. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere, or risk dealing with thieves who bait and switch you with false advertising.
Beds are comfy but stay was uncomfortable. Loud atrium makes sleeping at night very difficult in the evening. They make WiFi useless so that you need to buy an internet upgrade or join the Marriott club. For a work conference, you would think at the very least WiFi would be fast and available, but I have never felt less connected. Poor staff are not well trained, Everything is overpriced and designed to nickel and dime you into oblivion. Just an unfriendly stay all together. You are better off almost anywhere else.
I’ve never written a review before but I’ve never had feces back up into my sink in the bathroom before. Especially not at a Renaissance. I asked to move to another room and the front desk said “are you coming down now”? I said sure. I went down to get my new room key they didn’t have one. Said they would send up an engineer and housekeeping to clean it up and I would have to stay there another night. The first night I went down to have dinner at the restaurant which their guest services tv screen said was open 7 days a week from 5-10and it was closed at 7:45. I had to eat bar food. So far I’ve only been there for 15 hours! We’ll see what they charge me when I check out tomorrow and what will happen next. Worst hotel stay ever! Caveat emptor. Stay at your own risk.
Great customer service, especially the front desk staff. The lobby and rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. Parking is plentiful. The only con was the slow elevators, however it was a very busy weekend at the hotel. All in all we had a very nice time and I would come back.
