The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is celebrated for its modern and inviting atmosphere, with a prime location that guests appreciate for its proximity to local attractions. However, some travelers are troubled by the noise, particularly on floors below the 15th and near the lobby.
While the range of amenities and generally clean rooms are a plus, reviews suggest the value is lessened by steep parking fees and pricey food options. Service quality appears to be inconsistent, with commendations for staff attentiveness but also critiques regarding slow service and professionalism.

Detailed Reviews
I have to say staying at Hyatt is not my usual cup of tea because their price point is usually a little high for my budget comparing with staying at most Marriott and Hilton hotels. But I found this Hyatt hotel charge surprisingly low for my fall weekend trip to Atlanta and it was a great experience. Most hotel employees we went into during our visit were polite and helpful. My double-bed room located on higher floor was large, clean and quiet with a modern bathroom. This hotel is also directly connected to the metro station from the airport, and most of the Atlanta attractions can be reached by subway train METRA. So there is little need to get a rental car as you can literally walk into this hotel lobby after getting off the train and then reverse the direction when visiting places in Atlanta. But most downtown attractions in my city pass are within walking distance of this Hyatt so you don't even need METRA. It really makes this place an ideal hotel when visiting Atlanta. I only consumed take-out breakfast using their cafe in the ground floor and found the food average. However I would highly recommend this hotel based on my overall stay experience.

We had never been to Atlanta before but what a wonderful first experience! The Hyatt Regency is a beautiful hotel and is located in the heart of the city. We were able to walk to the Georgia Aquarium, The World of Coke, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and even the Philips Arena former home of the NHL Atlanta Thrashers (who are now our Winnipeg Jets!). The Hyatt Regency is connected to Peachtree Center which is a mall with numerous quick eateries & restaurants. The Hard Rock Cafe is right outside the front entrance of the hotel as well and we had excellent service there as well (thanks Jordan!). The hotel is super-clean & fresh and amazingly beautiful, it was an honour to stay in such a luxurious hotel. Special recognition is in order for Bruce, one of the kitchen personnel who made sure every meal was set in front of our group with extreme politeness, a smile and a great personality! Demetria was a fantastic member of the cleaning staff who was assigned to our room (16th floor Radius Tower) and she was such an amazing lady with a great sense of humor and a pleasure to interact with. All staff we encountered were fabulous and we look forward to coming back one day! Thank you Hyatt Regency Atlanta!

Wearing a mask was optional at night, I feel, because it was only enforced during the day. I like the fact you need your room key to move the elevator, felt safer. I had a open soda can with straw in my fridge when I checked in, which let me know it was over looked or my room was cleaned properly. Had to go to main lobby to use the microwave, be nice if one were on each floor in a central area. Be nice if you were able to get a complimentary cup of coffee, I guess that's just ATL, I'm not sure.
Valet parking was $50/night (in addition to your room payment) and a $150 deposit hold - you aren't told these things when you're making your reservation. Ended up parking at a parking garage for $25/night down the street; which at night felt unsafe, lots of homeless people around.
The hotel is in walking distance to Coca-Cola, Aquarium, Hard Rock Restaurant, The old Underground, which is being renovated from what I heard. The room was smaller than I expected for the price and the Sway restaurant was expensive, I don't eat buffet and no option from there to get a small portion of breakfast, had to leave hotel for that.

All I can say is this review wouldn’t even be here if their employees were empowered to take care of any situations which arise. However, they aren’t empowered here to do anything! We were here for a volleyball weekend (3-day stay), Feb 24-28, 2021. Hundreds of volleyball families used this same hotel. COVID expectation is they won’t clean the room during your stay. You make your own bed, wipe down bathroom yourself and take your own trash out. So, it’s like they cut their housekeeping staff down to nothing, but they are still booking out the rooms. It’s difficult to get fresh towels and very difficult to get a roll of toilet paper. We had to ask multiple times, it’s about a 24 hour turn around. Much faster to walk to the CVS down the road and buy cleaning wipes, toiletries, and toilet paper yourself. Another volleyball family in our group was given a room at check-in and the hotel gave a completely different couple the same room later in the evening. They walked in their room on them. So,their system to alert housekeeping you need towels and such doesn’t work as someone checks off you received when you didn’t. I have no idea why hotel computer software would assign to completely different families with different reservations to the same room. Poor Management is the only explanation! Stay far far away from 265 Peachtree!
We did find an amazing restaurant across from Centennial Park called Dos Bocas. The food and waitstaff were exceptional, exceeding all expectations there. If you come to Atlanta, give Dos Bocas a try.

The hotel is huge, beautiful and busy. Check-in/out process went smoothly and the reps at the front desk were extremely helpful. Customer service is key to me and they did not disappoint. The small details in the room caught my attention...for instance the motion sensor lights that turn on when you step near the bed. Definitely beats stumbling around in the dark or having to turn on lamps!! The early check-in/out option (for an extra fee) was a huge plus. Despite the size of the hotel, we didn't hear any noise in the room from other guests, which was much appreciated when we were ready to sleep. The hotel is right in downtown Atlanta so it is convenient to a lot of things. I would definitely recommend staying here when you're in Atlanta.

If your looking for a bunch of traffic of people then this is the hotel for you.
First off the hotel is not as secure as I would like it to be. There was a bunch of people hanging outside of the hotel and inside the lobby the I’m sure wasn’t staying here. When we pulled up after dinner there was people shooting a music video in front of the hotel in valet. There was a homeless person sleep on the property.
They have security, but I don’t know why because they don’t do anything but walk around and say nothing to anybody . Anybody can walk in and out this hotel without being questioned if you are staying here or not. I’m more of a laid back person and I don’t like to see to much traffic when I am away and this was beyond what I can tolerate. All and All the bed was comfy so I’ll take the good with the bad.
If you are looking for a relaxing welcoming and inviting atmosphere this is not the place for you.

I have stayed in more than 50 hotels in past years. I chose Hyatt for its reputation. I was sorely disappointed. No housekeeping contact for 4 days then only briefly the night before checking out. I had to take towels from the maid cart that was outside recently vacated rooms to replenish my room. No information of what to do with the soiled towels. The room was booked for 2 persons but only stocked for one person with shampoo, lotion, soap, etc.. No accessible place to deposit trash and recyclables on my floor. I overheard a guest in the Market state she would warm up her quinoa bowl in her room's microwave. My room did not have a microwave. Upon arriving in my room I called the front desk to request 2 blankets. A very pleasant woman named Frances appeared to "pick up dirty laundry". I explained I had asked for blankets not laundry pick up. She responded with a smile that she would be back shortly with the blankets and was customer friendly on her return. I apologized for her receiving the wrong message from the front desk. There was no contact from hotel staff during the 4 night 5 day stay asking if there was anything we needed. Basically, the hotel felt like a self-serve motel. I was disappointed all round and as we plan our next trips I will avoid booking with Hyatt.

+1
This hotel gives off the vibe of an Upscale Hotel but it really is not because of the area, the cost, the lack of amenities in the room, the rooms are not being cleaned regularly. The lack of free and secured parking for the guests staying more than three days. With the pandemic the hotel should have provided microwaves in the rooms to keep the guests from having to touch everything and then touching the public microwave in the lobby/market area. The rooms should be cleaned more than just on the third or fourth day of someone's stay.

If you're looking for a family friendly atmosphere or a quiet place to spend with your significant other, I'd suggest looking away from this hotel. I wish we would've read a similar review when looking for a place to stay. The hotel itself, the rooms, and its staff are pretty good. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing and the front desk was helpful whenever I needed something.
Beyond that, this is not a place I would return to, especially on a weekend. The atmosphere is not one of which you can relax and feel comfortable. This hotel unfortunately attracts a younger crowd that's going to loiter inside/outside the premises, make noise THROUGHOUT the night, smoke weed, and demonstrate other disturbing behavior. It makes for a very unpleasant experience coming to and from the hotel. Additionally, we had a neighbor who saw fit to play LOUD music at 2 - 4am. I called security one night and it was addressed. The patron proceeded to do the exact same thing the following night with no regard.
This feels like an unfair review to the hotel because I can't say a whole lot bad about the hotel itself. I could say the hotel's takeout food wasn't very good but my expectations aren't high for hotel takeout in a pandemic. To summarize, this hotel's experience is hampered by the area that it's in and the folks who flock here. Be mindful of what atmosphere you may be walking into when booking here.

We have been staying at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta every year for DragonCon for over a decade, and we have no intention of ever staying anywhere else. The location is convenient to convention events and the food court, check-in is always quick and easy, the staff is always attentive and friendly, and the rooms are always spotless. It's everything you need for a comfortable stay, year after year.
