Convenient location, nice-sized rooms, although they could use some refreshing. The HVAC was weird - it was about 50 outside, and turning off the HVAC, it would quickly heat to about 76, which was too warm, frankly. Weird to need AC when it's not that warm out. The BonVoy app key worked like a charm, first time I successfully used remote check-in via the app - but, pro tip, you need an actual key card to access the fitness center. Lesson learned. I was on the 3rd floor just over the entrance, and I'm unsure if the voices I would hear outside all evening were on their balconies, or at the entrance - there was a cheerleader convention in town, and I got to hear some teen angst. Oddly, the window next to the bed was reasonably soundproofed, the sliding doors from the balcony significantly less so. Empty refrigerator, nice-sized bathroom, no real complaints!…
Very friendly and helpful front desk. Good continental breakfast and waitress service on the weekend. Comfortable rooms and good attentive housekeeping. Helpful when asking for restaurants and directions. The only negative small showers. Good for small people and small average. May be tough for a very overweight person. There is a bath tub too. So convenient to so many places . 10-15 minutes Uber drive to many attractions.
What a wonderful stay we had here. We were in town for a wedding and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! Dana and Madison at the front desk were so courteous and attentive to our needs and called us by our names! The valet was so prompt every time we called, the car was waiting for us! The rooms was beautiful, clean and large! Kudos to the Marriott!
Hotel is not far off the freeway and avoids staying in the centre. Parking is $32 per night and there’s a subway station very near which will take you directly, just 4 stops, to downtown. Room was big, clean and had everything we needed. Check-in was quick and efficient. Buffet breakfast was included in our deal but it was roughly $25 each which is quite expensive, but it’s eat as much as you want.
Impromptu staycation. Decor needs a facelift, esp stained fabric on chair/couch. Confirmed 4pm check-out and placed privacy card to enjoy the afternoon. Twice housekeeping knocked on the door and prepared to open it at 12 & 1pm. I actually had the First Lady tell me it was her right to open the door at 12. I assume there’s a gap somewhere and they may not have visibility to rooms with late check out. I’ve traveled around the world with Marriott and never had that happen. Ok price point hotel. Lobby staff is nice and attentive.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The room was nice snd clean. Our suite was a one bedroom queen suite, with a sofa bed. My sister slept on the sofa bed and she said she slept fine. Not sure that any sofa bed is as comfortable as a regular bed, but she had 2 good night’s rest. We had no issues with parking. I believe it was somewhere between $32-34 a night, with was comparable to many of the other hotels I looked at before settling on this one. Perhaps even cheaper than some. We always found a spot, including the night we came back from a concert. Didn’t get back until midnight or so. Speaking of which, we wanted snacks and were dying of thirst and the little snack shop was still open, much to our surprise. We thought for sure we’d be out of luck. The drive from the deck we parked at for a concert at Mercedes Benz stadium took less than 15 mins, and that was with heavy concert traffic. Looked at several hotels in the downtown area, but couldn’t justify the price. It’s possible we got back to our hotel quicker than some of the other people who paid for the “convenience” of walking back to their hotel room after the concert. Hotel is close to lots of restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. We never felt unsafe in this area, even as walked back a quarter mile away at 1am. Enjoyed our stay, I will definitely be booking here again the next time I’m in Atlanta.…
We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it has not changed one bit. The rooms are horribly outdated with peeling wallpaper and water that wouldn’t stay a consistent temperature. The service was mediocre at best. This hotel needs a ton of renovations and training to bring it up to speed. The pool is a rotting, empty shell that isn’t even open and the pool across the street is lively and new. Do yourself a favor and go across the street. I wish we had.
This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Arrived at 11pm only because customer service told me i would be charged for the night if I cancelled. The customer service then hung up on me. They erased the good review but I'll write again about my horrible experience. Valet told me they would bring my bags up out the car and never did. I literally dealt with valet for 45 minutes. Which didn't get me in my room until 12 am. The front desk was helpful with anything. The whole building smelled like marijuana. The staff was very unprofessional. I payed 400 for literally 12 hours. And when I asked for late check the host was very inattentive and said we don't have late check out today. They literally nickel and dime people for the worst customer service ever. $45 for valet that was not helpful at all but kept reassuring me that they were trying to help but did nothing to make my situation better. Charged $50 for a less than satisfying breakfasts. Rooms had scratch marks all over the privacy door that separates the bathroom from the king bedroom. The air did not work. It was so ghetto and just the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. Please do not stay here. Stay in Macon or in another city. The staff act as if they are doing you a favor by giving you horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor, it isn't worth the rate or headache.…
Overall, nice! Very clean, excellent customer service, convenient, quiet and safe. The room was spacious. The layout was ok; however, the space between the bedroom and bathroom while convenient was very tight. I did like the fact that there was a shower and bath as my child does not take showers yet. That was an appreciated convenience. I can’t recall having any issues at all. The hotel is dated a bit and we only received two towels although the reservation was for three. The experience and convenience makes me believe that I would stay here again.
Outstanding stay over the weekend. The room was super clean and check in was a breeze. Jeremiah was the first staff member I encountered and the young man was extremely helpful from beginning to the end. Will definitely return soon.
