We stayed because of open heart surgery at Emory. Not knowing what to expect with surgery, we booked a room with kitchen. The room was well furnished and pleasant to stay in for a week and a half. I had to extend the stay twice due to doctor changing surgery date and some set backs. The staff was amazing at... More

This is an average place to stay. Hotel is outdated, rooms are spacious with an unusual plan. It's definitely OK for 1-night stay, especially if you have business at Emory University since it's literally across the street.

Overall, a nice experience. I will stay there again. Pros: Excellent location for visiting Emory University. (Walking distance to hospital). Wonderful staff. Afternoon cookies and refreshments in the lobby. Large rooms! Bedding is okay too. Adequate breakfast available with price of the room. (continental) Cons: Nothing really. It's an older hotel that has been well cared for. There are no... More

The hotel is a little worn but the rooms are very large. Front staff was welcoming and helpful in finding a nearby restaurant. Morning breakfast was ok; nothing overly special. The location of the hotel is the real selling point. We were visiting Emory on a college visit and it was perfect.

The rooms are clean tho a bit overworn. It's right on a busy road so bring your earplugs -- also needed for the heater/air conditioner. the staff is very friendly. The free breakfast is the usual cereal and (stale) rolls. But it's just what we expected for the price we paid and, of course, it's handy to the University.

I chose University Inn for its proximity to our destination and because I have stayed at inns at several universities in the past and found them to be lovely and personable - but sadly this one was not. Our room was large and clean, and the beds were comfortable, but the room was below grade and musty; had newer paint... More

This is an older facility in the heart of Decatur close to Emory University and hospital. They give special rates for parents of students or people using the medical facilities. There is no elevator and the rooms are split into 3 levels, but if needed, there are a few rooms on the same level as the office (no stairs). Many... More

Overall not bad. Was checked in and out expeditiously. The room I was in was rather bright, the curtains did not do enough to block the lights from the streetlamps. No other complaints. Breakfast and amenities were nice. It was a little pricey, but not bad at all considering the location.

Thank you for your great review. Our new drapes have shorter blackout curtains behind them. If you found them and still had an issue with light we would like to know that so we can fix it. We look forward to serving you again next time you visit Atlanta. More

University Inn is a beautiful hotel. Great location close to the hospitals. It was very quiet. The rooms are large and have been very nicely renovated. Our room had a flat screen TV, microwave and fridge. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We recommend that you visit the inn you will love it too
