Although this hotel is advertised as a non-smoking hotel, it certainly smells like guests routinely smoke in the rooms and the hallways. After arriving late in the evening after a 9 hour drive, I made it to my room and found the smoke smell. While I normally would have asked for another room, since the hallways smelled as well, I assumed all rooms were in this state and couldn’t be bothered since I was exhausted from my travels. Generally, the room was clean, bathroom facilities were clean, towels, etc. were fine. But the smell leaves a lot to be desired. Look for another place if you don’t want to deal with the cigarette remnants.
Hi I just want to talk a serious talk about this hotel I experienced a bad thing at this hotel about 2 weeks ago now The manager Edgar and one of his housekeeper called out a racist word to myself and my husband behind my back in Their language black gay fagget It’s about time that this comes to the forefront this person has gotten away with several innocents over the years also African American people The General Manager tried to cover for him and I’m laying the truth on the table They are trying throw their lies on the table and I can’t say much but we are taking action on this hotel Please stand with on this one it’s been over 22 witness we have including a few employees all black people only this guy Edgar who have disrespected black people I refused to finish paying this hotel a dime and requested all my refunds back to me They had some Director reach out to us with his lies trying to turn the situation on us By sending a non professional response never apologize for any action of his staff They know this guy is a piece of work I put a comment back a month ago to just have peace with hotel When I checked in Erica front desk clerk said Someone before we came their cough on her That wasn’t my fault and was very disrespectful the General Manager sat right in my face days after I ask her what are you laughing at when management was talking to me This girl threw the paperwork down and took her bag and storm out the door in rage The General Manager defended her and never said anything the next day she was back at work I was the bigger person and made piece she ended up being okay not still the best So I wrote a comment in piece But then everything turn left I had a death in family and I was back and forward in General Manager face hes loud when he talks Every time I had to pull him to the side So that day I told him what I heard snd I told him you know Edgar is rude and he don’t think he will ever get in trouble Everyone listen to this they said all these comments we make I heard it out of their mouths they don’t care about them and they don’t read them and they don’t care Finally I’m requesting a lie detector test because they think they can speak in other language and speak negatively about any guest I have 4 white people who all said that Edgar treats then with the upmost respect I don’t care who comes back with something different of what all this racist acts going on today I will not tolerate this and we will proceed I haven’t heard anything from them but one time People honestly they thinks this will die down but it won’t We will be sending out threw our legal team to boycott this hotel It doesn’t matter what my life is and my gender I was racist profile of my color and caught they ass saying in the act and that’s not good in no way matter especially the gay nasty word They still yet to reach out and at this point we don’t care our legal team have already started the process I’m asking all black people to not stay at this hotel until we finish exiting certain people there This is not good they have gotten away with the disrespect with Edgar for years I have the proof I will get my pain snd suffering back from them close or over 4 thousand I will never stay there ever because IHG is a good property but this Staybridge suites in buckhead needs a new staff The black guy in the kitchen has a lot of hospitality and a great cook The night security black girls good and one Mexican girl with Orange hair is great with customer service bathe rest very disrespectful and think they have power And I was told they don’t read comments and don’t care about anything you all are complaining about I have a more what happened there but legally I can’t go into details It’s sad that my experience of being slightly happy went down hill because they didn’t try to work this out why because they think they don’t do no wrong The General Manager Tony sat in room with me Privately and agreed he refuse to put that in writing Edgar rude the worse and he will talk to him and handle it But the fact the next day Edgar still looked at me crazy and still I saw and took two more black peoples numbers he was disrespectful to them again So please read this and pass it alone thank you and you will hear the results soon but we won’t stop until resolution is done…
My wife and I have stayed at this property several times over the past few years when we would travel to Atlanta to see our grown children. This hotel is conveniently located to them as well as being in a nice area, and we have always enjoyed it. Last weekend we came up for a grandkid's birthday, had made reservations well in advance for a 2-BR suite. As soon as we opened the door to our room, the stench of old cigarette smoke hit. It smelled as if someone had been smoking in there for a long time. We mentioned this to management, they were overbooked and couldn't move us. We stayed both nights and the smell never got better despite opening the windows etc. We did get a 50% discount for one night because of this. As much as we have enjoyed this hotel in the past, we will not be staying there from now on. Too many other good choices in the area, and this room being sold as "non-smoking" is absurd.…
Stayed here for couple of days after flight UK to Atlanta before moving on. Very friendly, clean, great service. Good choice for breakfast and nice to have coffee available 24 hours a day. Used as base to explore Atlanta (via MART). Would stay again.
We stayed from December 25-31, traveling with another family of four. Both families stayed in a two bedroom suite. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we were able to take advantage of the excellent free breakfast, the reliable shuttle to and from the MARTA, the free laundry, the pool (we often had it all to ourselves), the outdoor grill, and the hot tub. Despite what other folks have said, we found both rooms to be clean, fresh, and replenished with towels and other amenities. The location made it easy to get to downtown Atlanta, and to nearby shopping (CVS, Trader Joes), a really good Thai restaurant (Bangkok Station). We used the real plates and silverware (a huge bonus for a free breakfast) and the surprisingly excellent coffee. They even had soy milk! The staff were also lovely - Oz and Netoyer were so helpful and nice, as were the other staff we interacted with. Only concern - the disaffected teenager running the front desk, answering the phone "hello?" and not having the answer to any question, including where to get additional dishwasher detergent or when the shuttle ran. Other than that, which kind of gave us a laugh, we were surprised and delighted to find this hotel so good! (Oh, the windows open! That was awesome!) One night, the entire floor smelled like pot. My husband opened all the windows in the hall and alerted the person at the front desk.…
