John and Grace were exceptional hosts. The property is beautiful, decorated in an eclectic manner and located in a upscale Midtown area. The room was lovely with wonderful sheets and pillows! Great breakfast. The grounds were also nice. We will definitely rebook when in Atlanta.

My husband and I recently escaped our daily grind for a weekend staycation at Stonehurst Place. I don't think we realized the stress we had been carrying until we felt it melt away within an hour after we arrived. John graciously told us the history of the house and gave us a tour. Every piece of artwork had a story, from the original Andy Warhols to the covers of an interior design magazine that only ran for one year many decades ago. The house is immaculately maintained and is partially powered by solar panels and includes a water filtration system that is purer than any plastic bottled water. Grace's afternoon treats were worth every single calorie (think espresso walnut brownie that was gluten free and almost the consistency of fudge) and her 3 course breakfast menus could be in a 5 star Michelin rated restaurant. We stayed in the Stedman Suite which was in the carriage house and incredibly quiet. The heated floors, heated towel bars, and multiple shower heads in the bathroom were the ultimate luxury. During our stay we walked to Piedmont Park, walked to several patio restaurants for dinner, and took the recommended bicycle tour of Atlanta. The location is in the heart of everything in Midtown and we enjoyed our time sitting on the porch as much as we did exploring the neighborhood. Stonehurst Place is magical and the personal attention that was doted on us by John and Grace is unparalleled. We can't wait to return for a longer stay.

John and Grace, as well as their staff, are warm, welcoming and all-around amazing! I can’t imagine a more wonderful place to stay in Atlanta. With handwritten notes, goodies and accommodating nature of their customer service, our experience was truly amazing. The little things make a great experience, but John and Grace ensure that little and big things alike are taken care of to the max. As hosts, John was attentive and able to share in our excitement about our vacation, he shared personal stories with us about the suite we stayed in (the Fowler in the Carriage House); Grace made us feel cherished with her superb cooking and attention to detail, and was the epitome of kindness and, well, grace! And don’t even get us started about the breakfast that Grace made for us... there are no words to describe the gourmet spread that was delivered to our room in the morning. Imagine saying “Wow” in the most excited, happy, contented voice you could, then multiply it by 100 and you might get close to how we felt after that meal! The Fowler Suite itself was luxurious and echoed my earlier sentiment about the little and the big things. Everything was a delight. The pictures just don’t do it justice. If you are after romance, it’s the perfect room to stay in for every reason. It’s a sexy suite!!! We can’t wait to return, you have customers for life! Savanna and Tori :)

We arrived earlier than expected, so we knew our room wasn't quite ready yet. Our host was very accommodating and let us keep our luggage on site while we visited some of the sites around Atlanta. Everyone from the top on down was very friendly, professional and down to earth. We had interesting conversations eat time we met, be it for breakfast or walking the grounds. My wife let them know ahead of time that we are gluten free, and they knocked it out of the ballpark. We were met with these amazing brownies on the first day, and our second day we had gluten free peanut butter cookies in our room. Best I ever had! The breakfast each day was like eating in a high end restaurant. Everything was presented beautifully, and tasted amazing. It was also nice to talk to other patrons who were eating breakfast at the same time. ( distanced of course ) Our room was nothing short of amazing. Heated bathroom floors, mini bar, robes and the nicest sheets and comforter we have slept on while traveling. My wife even loved the pillows. Overall, this was a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

Dear Jason, I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to easily meet your gluten free needs - after twelve years I believe we have every diet we know of under our belts. We take great pride in being able to pamper our guests down to the smallest detail, including the oh-so important second part of a B&B - Breakfast! I can tell by your description that you stayed in our Stedman Suite, as it is our only room/suite with it's own small, beverage-stocked and refrigerator. I'm love that room, too - it's a bit whimsical and fun, and our sole ADA accessible accommodation. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I do hope we are able to welcome you again soon! Warm regards,
