Ok, I'm going to start by saying that I was very nervous about staying at this hotel considering all the horrible reviews I've read. I went in bracing for the worst, in order to prepare myself for our stay I made sure to pack extra toiletries and also packed our own towels since a lot of the reviews said housekeeping were slow with bringing up stuff. Which is to be understood the elevators move at a sloth like pace and the housekeeping staff also uses them. I can see why getting things up to the room would take longer than normal. Luckily we didn't require anything to be brought up. Check in went smoothly, we got to the hotel a couple hours early and the front desk was able to get us into a room in a timely manner. Unfortunately the shuttles weren't running that week we were there, I was super bummed and voiced my concern during check out, Gene at the front desk was very understanding and made everything right again! We ended up having to take Ubers/Lyfts to Dragon Con which wasn't too much of a hassel $8 to $10 most days, the taxis outside the hotel didnt't mind giving us a comparable price since they have to compete with the ride share app fares. Also beats paying crazy parking fees downtown and finding a spot to begin with. Overall the price was great and since my expectations were already kind of low I was pleasantly surprised with how well our stay went. I'd consider staying at this property again for a furture trip to Atlanta.

Rooms were horrible. They smell like smoke. Outlets didn’t work. Bulbs in lamps didn’t work. I could go on and on. Outside looks a mess. Cost too much for what you get. Lady tried to overcharge for parking.

I have worked in the hotel business for over 20 years and I am aware that not all hotels rise to the level of "high-tier" or "luxury" status. I am generally a very understanding person, and try to find the good things. I realized when I made the reservation that the Ramada brand is an economy tier. I did not have high expectations, but I did anticipate that the hotel would have the basics. Unfortunately, I was very mistaken. Several weeks before my arrival, I called to change my room-type from 1 bed, to 2 beds. This call took me over 30 minutes between the hotel and the 3rd party site I had used. When I arrived on Wedneday, the hotel still had my reservation as 1 bed. The front desk changed it for me, but this made me wonder why I had spent so much time on the phone previously. Upon receiving my key, I was told to pull up to the gate to park my car, and I would be "buzzed in". We unloaded the car, and once we wen to park, inserted our room key in the receiver near the gate to the parking lot. It didn't work. I had to exit the car, go back inside and then was literally "buzzed in" by the front desk. There is a parking attendants booth, and a key card reader, but neither are being utilized. The room itself, I will say, was okay. It was very spacious and it was clean. However there was very little lighting, and only 1 large bath towel in the bathroom. Standard practice for a hotel with 2 beds should be 4 large towels, or at least 2. Every day we were there ( 5 in total) we had to request more towels, as we were only provided with 1 each time the room was cleaned. The furniture need to be updated, or at least fixed. We utilized the dresser and found that the bottoms of every drawer were drooping with the weight of our clothes. There is a gift shop on site that is only open for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening. There "Hours of Operation" sign is written with a sharpie on construction paper and taped to the inside of the glass door. It changes daily. When I went to the front desk the next morning to have one of our keys re-made (we had 3 keys for the room) I specifically told the clerk that we had 3 keys and that "this" one isn't working anymore. He took the key from me and reprogrammed it. I then asked, "will the other keys still work for the room?" He shook his head and said "no".This was annoying to me, since I know that the card encoders have the ablility to "copy" a card, without having to re-key every card. So, I had to wait for the rest of my party to come downstairs so we could have ALL of our keys re-made. On Friday, one of my roommates went downstairs to get a soda. The cooler in the gift shop wasn't working, so all they had was warm beverages. When he asked for change to go use the vending machines, for a COLD beverage the cashier told him "no". So, he then went to the Front Desk for change....and was also told "No, we don't have change here." I found this to be absolutely ridiculous, and VERY unprofessional. On Friday night, we needed more towels so we tried to call front desk. I was literally on the phone for 20 minutes just waiting for someone to answer. As I was sitting on the phone, my roommate decided, again, to go down to the front desk to get them. When he got to the lobby there was a full lobby of guests waiting to come in and 1 front desk clerk. The other had left the front desk to go get towels since there were other guests who needed them. So, he waited and got our towels when the other clerk returned with them. When he inquired why no one had answered the phone, he was told that they were so over-welmed that they weren't answering the phone. One of the clerks also said that she was thinking about calling her son to come in and attend the the gate buzzer, since she was having issues keeping up with it while trying to deal with the lobby guests and the gate. The next day our toilet had clogged, and, once again, I tried to call down to the front desk. Again, no one answered. This was during the day. After I sat on the phone for about 10 minutes my roommated decided to go down to the front desk again. He was then told that we would have to move rooms, because the front desk couldn't get a hold of maintenance. We really didn't want to move, so we went and ate lunch. When we finished, we tried again, andt his time whe was able to reach someone. Our toilet was fixed within 20 minutes. This hotel COULD be amazing. It's got a great location if you're wanting to be close to downtown, but not in downtown. I could see they have excellent conference space, and the "potential" to have all of the other basic amenities that would warrant what they are asking for in terms of room rates. But they aren't being given what they need to succeed. My next review will be with there management company and also with Wyndham who owns the name "Ramada" This hotel is falling very short of the basic standards that any hotel should have.

I would like to say that the customer service I expietenced was great and professional. I had 3 expierences my first encounter by phone with Althea who was very informative about explaining the late check in policy as I was traveling from Florida and would be late. My second was in person when I arrived with Front Desk Agent Latoya. Latoya was very patient as the hotel was extremely busy and was being constantly being overbooked by 3rd parties agencies where she had to apologize and explain that there were no more rooms. She tried her best to accommodate all guest that was waiting on rooms. As I sat waiting on my room I witnessed her be disrespected by angry customers and she handled each customer professionally trying to explain that Expedia had booked their room and the hotel had no availability. My 3rd expierence was with Latunga in housekeeping she had perfect timing I had an emergency and needed assistance and she didn’t think twice to assist me in my time of need. Kudos to all Althea, Latoya, and Latunga. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you’re going to a football game at the Georgia State Stadium.

This was the absolutely most horrific stay at any hotel that I have ever stayed at. I had my room changed 3 times and finally settled on the 3rd room because I had no other hotel options as every hotel in the surrounding area was booked. I was greeted by roaches in my room, blood stains on the wall, dirty bath towels, broken furniture, dirty phones, inoperable alarm clocks, broken television, etc. Each room was a new disappointment I attempted for weeks to contact management, by phone and email and have yet to get any resolution, which is very disappointing for a brand such as the Wyndham. I would not recommend this particular hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Avoid, avoid, avoid.
