The Urban Oasis at 130 A Krog Street is a 5,400 sq-foot loft with a lap pool and hot tub, private gardens with outdoor ping pong! We are centrally located in the Inman Park neighborhood, near Krog Street Market, right on the Atlanta Beltline, just one mile from Downtown Atlanta. Walk to restaurants, bars, parks theaters, and shopping. We provide our guests at the Urban Oasis Bed and Breakfast with a different way to experience modern southern living in a loft right in the middle of this hip, vibrant city. Our 4-bedroom 4-bath loft has been featured in magazines and TV. It was the location of the 32nd season of the reality TV show, The Real World in 2019 (see on Facebook Live). Proprietors Judi Knight and Duane Solem love to entertain and you will feel like a guest in their home. It is a perfect way to experience the city and to feel like you are visiting friends in town.

Detailed Reviews
We had a great stay at this quirky B & B in Atlanta with a comfortable room, lots of cuddles from the resident dogs, good quality breakfasts and very convivial hosts in Duane and Judy. As other reviews have noted, this isn't a traditional B & B Inn e.g. breakfast was very much on a help yourself basis but that suited us. As first time visitors to Atlanta we struggled to work out suitable accommodation but are grateful we hit on Urban Oasis which is in a lovely neighbourhood. The adjacent Krog Street market has a wide variety of great restaurants and the Beltway behind the B & B is a great place for a stroll. Highly recommended.

We were so lucky to find this place on our first trip to Atlanta! We wanted a lively, historic neighborhood and this B&B is perfectly situated between Inman Park and the Old Fourth Ward. It's a short walk to numerous historical landmarks, fun restaurants and shops, and the best part is that it is literally behind the Beltline, a wonderful walking and biking path that goes on for miles and miles and punctuated with fun bars and restaurants.
The design of the house and rooms is inspired and the hosts, Judi and Duane, could not have been more helpful and friendly. The beautiful gardens, pool, and hot tub rounded out our wonderful stay. Would certainly return on our next trip to Atlanta!

If you are a B&B traveler you’ll love the UO. Built in an old cotton storage building, this contemporary home with 30 ft ceiling is very special. It is quiet, two of the three units have a private bath, it borders the Belt Line path, and is a stone’s throw from the Krog Marketplace. Judi serves a help-yourself breakfast to accommodate every visitor’s schedule. Coffee is available at all times. You can walk from Urban Oasis to Bicycle Tours of Atlanta, which is a great way to see the city. If you are looking for accommodations outside of the busy downtown, in a delightful neighborhood, hosted by a long time Atlanta resident, you can’t beat Urban Oasis.

I'll be straightforward and to the point with my review. The property is interesting enough although, I didn't explore any of the outdoor spaces because of the weather. It's a renovated warehouse space that's in a small business park. There was a used towel in the bathroom of the room we were staying in, which led me to believe that maybe the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. Also, I wouldn't consider this a bed and breakfast, it's more akin to an airbnb (where you are renting a room with private bath). We weren't provided much of a breakfast unless the bag of bread left out with jam on the kitchen counter would count. I wouldn't stay here, again for the money spent. The upside of the property is the location. It is right across from the market, next to the Beltline and is a good spot with dedicated parking for exploring Atlanta.

Response from Judi Knight, Owner at Urban Oasis Bed and Breakfast
Responded Aug 12, 2022
I am sorry you did not have a good experience staying at the Urban Oasis. Our goal is to make it very clear on our website that this is not your typical bed and breakfast. It is an opportunity to stay in a loft environment in the heart of one of the most happening neighborhoods in Atlanta. We are clear that we offer a continental breakfast with good breads, a large bowl of berries, homemade granola, yogurt and hardboiled eggs. Most people who stay with us do not want to eat a big breakfast as they are looking forward to trying the wide variety of trendy restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. Don't know what to say about the random towel in the bathroom. I wish you had let us know at the time.

I booked Judy's place mostly for our crew to have an awesome spot to crash and a general peaceful area in preparation for string of concerts across my favorite band's run across new years eve. The location is perfect! It's only 15 minutes walking distance from the venue I needed to be at and all the surrounding areas!
...Unfortunately, those concerts were postponed due to covid/omicron, so, I never was able to visit this Urban Oasis in the ATL... and I never got to meet Judy and her husband, Duane.
That stated, I can assure you that the couple who runs this B&B seem like the nicest couple in all of Atlanta! Once our shows were cancelled/postponed, I sent Judy a text on Christmas day (so as to not bother her family) and she responded with a phone call seconds later. She expressed her condolences and we worked towards an agreement on everything regarding the booking. Our call ended with me feeling as if I 'just have' to make another booking somehow at another time. .. Judy - if you're reading this - I can't wait to book our vacation with you again, once we have new dates in our calendar! You're home truly feels like it's the coolest spot to stay at for a run of shows!

In June of 2023, I spent a week in Atlanta while performing at the Atlanta Fringe Festival and had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Urban Oasis. It was like staying at a friend’s home and indeed the owners, Judi and Duane, are now dear friends! They even came to see me perform at the Fringe. The location is wonderful: a quick walk to the well-known Krog Market, as well as the mall across the street, both of which have food galore. I’m a non-driver, but had no problem sharing Ubers with my castmate who was also staying at Urban Oasis. UO has a wonderful lap pool, hot tub, serves breakfast every morning, and Judi and Duane’s two friendly dogs, Charlie and Ollie, will greet you every time you come and go. My stay was really a delight and I look forward to returning next time I am in Atlanta!

Fun location with lots of great food options within 3-15 minutes on foot. Offbeat shopping and entertainment nearby. Unique and comfortable space with great hosts. They know the area well and make excellent recommendations. The BeltLine is right behind the building which makes for great access and some background noise. If the pictures and area entice you, book it while you can.

We loved everything about our stay! We were visiting from Ontario for Shaky Knees Music Festival in Central park which was about a 30 min walk away. Judi & Dwayne were very welcoming and lovely to chat with about the history of the space and Atlanta! It was our first time to the city and I cannot wait to go back. It was nice to have a light breakfast in the morning and enjoy my coffee outside while being greeted good morning by Charlie and Ollie. We loved having the dogs around us. We stayed in Robyn's room and it was clean and cozy. The area was unbelievable with so much going on. Live music and good vibes at LadyBird, the excitement of the beltline and Krog Market. We loved having access to the scooters to get to and from the concert. I will stay at Urban Oasis every time I go to Atlanta and tell all my friends! Thank you for the best weekend! :)

We stayed at the Urban Oasis for a quick weekend trip with my in-laws and two adult children to visit our other daughter and take in a concert. The location is fantastic. The parking is gated and easy to navigate. The Bed and Breakfast is beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accomodating. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need for a getaway. We definitely recommend!!

Fantastic and architecturally unique property. This house is a MCM dream. Our hosts, Judi and Duane were engaging, pleasant and thought of all the details. A great location: close to the airport and convention center, yet surprisingly private and serene.
