We have always enjoyed the Georgian Terrace because the large suites are great for families. We also noticed this past weekend the hotel had a friendly and proactive director of operations who worked to help us get situated and find things to do nearby, like Ponce Market or Botanical Gardens. What was not so great for families during new years weekend was the Marijuana smoke through the atrium and hallways, and the...I dont know what to call them except professional sex workers in the checkin line. This hotel can't choose its guests so this may now be the reality of life in a downtown Atlanta hotel. The hotel does at least limit the elevators to guests, and did have a security guard for new years eve, but they will need to manage as best they can because I had to explain to my 8 year old what Marijuana was and why a women was wearing a thong under a see through dress. We also had issues getting sheets and symptoms from the smoke plus possibly dehydration led us to presume two of us we had covid, creating a bit of chaos. I do wish the director the best- hopefully he can get a handle on all this. New years weekend may have been a unique situation.…
Super Hero’s dont always wear capes Life has taught me that hard times are hard to plan around, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and keep on pushing. Recently, after planning for months to propose to the love of my life on the rooftop we met in Washington, D.C. tragic news struck that my then girlfriend’s mother was loosing her battle with cancer and family should surround her as much as possible in the coming weeks. This was one week before we were set to fly out to DC. Obviously my heart was crushed for her and what her family was having to go through but a bit selfishly also for all of the preparations I had made (consulting her mother along the way) for us to have the most amazing engagement. Not one to sulk I gave myself a goal to do make the most amazing engagement still happen, and I had a week to get it done. Among the many important things on the list, I knew without a doubt the absolute most important item was securing a venue. I called everywhere and asked for favors from many strangers often who had deep sentiment for our situation but due to the current pandemic could not help me out. It was Thursday October 15, 2020, two days before my engagement date when I walked into The Georgian Terrace, a long shot premier venue on my possibilities list. I was nervous but hopeful and before walking in, I prayed in the car they would be able to accommodate us. As I entered I was met with a vibrant “Good Afternoon” by a young lady (Brooke) with a beautiful smile that shined so bright it came right through the mask she was wearing. She asked me how could she help me today and directed me to the Superhero who saved my engagement, Ms. Tishana Assing! Brooke called down to Tishana who allowed me to tell her my story and didn’t interrupt nor scold me for procrastination planning as some thought it was. After hearing my story she first assured me she would be able to help and then proceeded to go over all the possible options within my price point. Upon choosing the gorgeous Mitchell Ballroom she immediately got me all the paperwork necessary to secure the ballroom for the evening and even provided me her personal contact information in case anything went wrong the day of and she wasn’t on site (talk about ultimate customer service). A month or so removed from our engagement my fiancé and I still marvel at the video and how “Perfect” the engagement was, the location was as elegant as any I’d imagined and I have Tishana to thank for that. The Georgian Terrace has new family members for life and we can’t wait to see our possible wedding options at this beautiful historic property.…
After 9:00 pm check in is not an option. There is no valet parking and the parking garage is around the corner. Not safe. No escort. Did they care? No refund. Bad customer service! Livid. The trip was to see my brother in hospice at Emory hospital right down the block. Wonder how many other grieving customers they have taken advantage of?
I had a great stay at the Georgian Terrace. I was on the 15th floor in one of their suite rooms. The room was enormous, literally had a full kitchen. I also think the gym is one of the best hotel gyms I've been to in a while. Great views of the city, weights and cardio machines as well. For a big, commercial hotel, it felt like it had a little bit of uniqueness and southern charm
This hotel is located in midtown just across the Fox Teather. We had 4 good nights in the 9th floor. Our room was a Deluxe double bed room. Very big, clean and confortable room. Space enough to have a big chair with footrest in one corner. Also had a desk and office chair.u Bathrooms were fully equipped with bottles of shampoo,u big. Bed was confortable. Coffee machine and safety box. I really liked my room. Every day, when we came back from excursions, we found it neat and clean as a whistle. The only 2 things I could say as a constructive criticism is that I missed a frigobar and that my pillows were kind of hard. I requested softer pillows but hotel didn't have them. I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.
