We loved everything about The Jackson House Inn. We sat by the trout pond in the evening and enjoyed our coffee on the front porch in the morning. The grounds were lovely and the breakfast was amazing. Jeff and Robin were incredible innkeepers. Looking forward to going back next year!
We spent 2 nights at the Jackson House Inn to celebrate our anniversary. The Inn is beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious. We stayed in the Francesca room which is a suite with a balcony which looks over the pretty backyard.. We enjoyed being in a suite with the extra space. Also since there is a screen door out to the balcony, we were able to keep it open and enjoy the fresh air. Thanks to Robin and Jeff for a great time!
Quaint, clean, updated. We were so relaxed, the grounds were beautiful, We sat with a glass of wine enjoying the surroundings. The inn was welcoming and charming Breakfast was home made and was simply perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at the Jackson House Inn. It was our last stop of our New England bucket list vacation and we loved the JacksonHouse Inn! The Innkeepers are wonderful in making sure every detail is cared for, the breakfast was incredible. The chef came to our table to give us his recipe for making the roasted potato blend that was so delicious. We had to leave the second day prior to breakfast to get to the airport but Carly (I think that was her name), baked fresh muffins and gave us a ‘to go’ breakfast that was delicious. The grounds of the property are absolutely beautiful, be sure to walk the grounds during your stay. Loved this Inn and loved Woodstock!
If you are looking for a relaxing, clean, safe and feels like home place, look no further! This place might be one of my favorite places I have ever stayed at before. My Aunt and I just returned from our stay at the Jackson House Inn, and could not be more thankful we found such a place. This place is about 2 minutes from downtown, in a perfectly quiet, relaxing area. The Inn is surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers, and there are chairs placed on the grass and the porch if you want to sit outside and enjoy nature. To start off, Robin and Jeff were extremely welcoming, and made us feel at home. They were great with communication, and answered any questions that we had. This Inn was very clean, the rooms were set up nicely, and each morning we were served a 3 course delicious breakfast. Carly is the baker, and each morning she would prepare something different. For example, one day she made cherry turnovers, the next day was chocolate croissants, and our final day was a broiled grapefruit with ginger and pistachios. Each course was made to perfection, with the last course being a full meal. Everyday at about 4:00, warm water was put in one of the rooms, with tea and hot chocolate beside it. Carly made some treats to go with the tea, or just warm water. Each detail was thoroughly thought out, and we appreciate the effort that was made each day. This place feels like home, and we were sad we had to leave. We will definitely be back, and will being our friends and family!…
My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay at the inn. This is a beautifully cared for old home, furnished with many antiques and original artwork. There are several additions to the original home, including the dining room where breakfast is served, as well as a wing with four bedrooms. We stayed in the Christine Jackson room in that wing. The bedroom was large and had a patio area accessed from the room and looking out on the large back yard and gardens. The bath was very large and included a large jacuzzi tub as well as a walk in shower. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast each morning was an event. Innkeepers Robin and Jeff took turns preparing breakfast and were assisted by baker Carly. Each breakfast included a fruit smoothie to accompany your coffee or tea. That followed by a small plate….fruit over biscuits, home made donuts (2) each, puff pastry with spinach and Gruyère, etc.. and this followed by a massive entree. Pancakes with blueberry compote, bacon & poached egg. Bacon and cheese quiche with baked tomato and berries with Gran Marnier. Brioche French toast with ham and grilled pineapple slices. Get the picture?, I’m gaining more weight typing this! You will have no need for lunch as breakfast will carry you right to dinner. And if you don’t think you can make it, there are always Carly’s cookies in one of the front rooms! We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Carly each morning. She is a talented baker and the inn is lucky to have her. And all other housekeeping staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Robin and Jeff were great and their inn keeping experience surely is getting them through these times where so many in the hospitality industry are struggling with staffing shortages. We look forward to our next visit to Woodstock.…
We consider ourselves fortunate to have found the Jackson House Inn at which to celebrate our special anniversary. Old World elegance describes the Inn decor and the lush garden seems endless. The rooms, as the Inn itself, are pristine and beautifully furnished and the wood truly glistens! Robin and Jeff are wonderful Innkeepers and their staff is top notch. Anything we needed was provided immediately and Jeff wowed us with his sumptuous breakfasts. A special shoutout to Carly and her decadent cookies each afternoon. The JHI should be the first choice of anyone visiting the area.
Robin and Jeff were such welcoming and friendly hosts. Jeff’s breakfasts were nothing short of amazing!! The Inn was lovely, rooms were immaculately clean and the grounds lush and beautiful. We enjoyed the bonfires at night as well! Cannot recommend this place enough for a quick couples getaway
What a wonderful stay! We stayed for a mini anniversary getaway over the weekend. We were greeted by the Innkeeper and Husband, who is a wonderful chef, upon arrival and had a couple drinks at the bar with some wonderful conversation. We stayed in the Wales Johnson room which had a private entrance both front and back. The back doors led right out to the absolute immaculate grounds, which were so beautiful to look out upon from the room. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and accommodating to any food allergies you might have. Having afternoon tea and snacks was another wonderful touch. The main Inn is amazingly preserved to look almost original , while the dining room is delightful updated and spacious. Would highly recommend this wonderful Inn. Thank you Robin for such a lovely time.…
Thank you Robin and your staff for our wonderful mid week stay. The Inn is meticulously maintained and welcoming; no detail has been overlooked. We look forward to a return visit and those scrumptious breakfasts. Our highest recommendation for folks coming to the Woodstock area!
