We have been coming to Woodstock to stay in this beautiful property for nearly 30 years and every experience has been memorable! This was our first stay since the Inn reopened in August with new innkeepers, Lauren and Kayla, who are truly amazing! We had such a great engaging time with them; while new to the property, they are energetic and enthusiastic, and truly excellent hosts! We especially enjoyed the cocktail hour and have exchanged ideas for some possible new fall libations! The Jackson House has for years been a second home to us and it still is! Kudos to the new team - you ladies are the best! - and we can’t wait to come back later this year!

Room Tip: Jacuzzi suites are great in winter but would opt for balcony/patio in warmer months

Exceptional Inn for a couple to relax and enjoy. Room was nice and clean with a great gas fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Beautiful grounds in the back with chairs and lounges to enjoy the gardens. Breakfast included was excellent.

I should've written this review months ago but I've been lazy. My wife and I live in the Los Angeles area. We spent a few days in NYC in mid-October, 2019 and then spent the last four days of our vacation at the Jackson House Inn. It is a wonderful place. Chris and Matthew are great hosts. The rooms are very nice (we stayed in the Nicholas I suite) and the breakfasts, afternoon cookies, and the grounds are first rate. The entire Woodstock area is one of the nicest places that you will ever visit if you are looking for some tranquility. Coming from Southern California, it was so nice to not have to fight traffic and relax in such a beautiful part of the country. I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Nicholas I suite. It is on the third floor. It has a balcony and is very quiet.

Amazing in every way! For a relaxing and beautiful time in Vermont, look no further than the Jackson House Inn. From the beautiful rooms, to the lovely grounds and common areas, to its location in the very sweet town of Woodstock, this inn is everything you could want in an accommodation. But what sets it in a tier of its own is the inn's remarkable innkeepers. Chris and Matthew are the nicest, most welcoming and attentive of innkeepers. They are both immensely professional and exceptional at what they do while also very personable, funny, and engaging as people. Also the food! It's honestly so good, and worth going for Chris's breakfast alone. We have been lucky to stay twice and eagerly await our return to this gem of an inn!

What a lovely stay we had at the charming Jackson House Inn!! Chris and Matthew were wonderful hosts, and made us feel right at home! They were kind enough to upgrade our room, being that we were the only guests in the inn (perhaps due to it being the off season and being in the midst of the coronavirus scare) which certainly added to our relaxing experience. Our stay was made even more comfortable with a warm fire every morning in the dining room, and enjoying, quite possibly, the most amazing breakfasts we have ever had! Seriously, Chris needs to write a cookbook! OH, did I mention the WARM COOKIES that were waiting for us upon our arrival and in the evening the next day? Truly, this was a fantastic mini vacation, and one we will certainly repeat in the year(s) to come!

You must have been one of our last guests before we had to shut down for a time in the face of COVID, so it means even more that you shared such warm words with us. I hope you'll come back again once we are able to reopen!
