Located in the heart of the Village of Woodstock and the soul of Vermont, the Ardmore Inn will give you a true Vermont experience. Built in 1867, the Ardmore's five comfortable guest rooms with private baths are named after living Vermont authors and artists and Vermont artwork decorates the walls. There is a fully stocked library with gas fireplace, an enclosed barn porch, and spacious dining room with farm table to enjoy a delicious three-course served breakfast and afternoon refreshments. The Ardmore offers luxurious linens, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, and is a smoke-free property. The Ardmore is within walking distance to fine shops, covered bridge, Ottauquechee River, the village green, art galleries and restaurants in Woodstock. The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and Billings Farm are also within walking distance.

Charlotte is an amazing host for so many reasons. During booking she asked if anyone had trouble with stairs and I told her no. I traveled with an elderly lady, who began to have an issue with her leg on the flight enroute to the bed and breakfast. Upon arrival Charlotte graciously prepared a room on the lower level so that she wouldn’t have to use the stairs. She allowed us to linger in the great room for as long as we liked, and had fresh cookies for our arrival. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and everything is so detailed. The house was themed beautifully for fall, and she is an avid book lover. The breakfast was beyond description, and was served hot and fresh! It was scrumptious, and it felt so luxurious being taken care of. The only thing I could say would be it was a little noisy (earplugs were available), but if a fan was in the room I think that would help, and the water pressure in the shower was very strong. This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay, and I hope to visit again someday soon! Thanks Charlotte for your kindness!

Our weekend getaway at the Ardmore Inn made us feel totally welcomed in every way… Charlotte is a great hostess whose knowledge of Woodstock and the surrounding area added so much more to what we had experienced in town on previous visits. Prior to our arrival we had made our own dinner reservations at The Prince and the Pauper for our first evening, but had not made any plans for the next night. Charlotte suggested Max’s Tavern about 12 miles away in Barnard and even called and made reservations for us. This gave us an opportunity to adventure beyond the Village and experience more of this beautiful area. The Ardmore is in easy walking distance to all of the shops and great restaurants the Village has to offer, as well as (once again at Charlotte’s suggestion) an easy walk to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Farm, Museum, and National Park, which was one of the most rewarding places we explored over the weekend. The Inn is pleasant and relaxing, with many of the 1860’s architectural features intact and preserved. Awakening from a good night’s sleep in the restfully comfortable bed, we were enticed each morning by the aroma of the wonderful breakfast wafting up from the Dining Room below. As with many other reviews, breakfast was a treat each morning in both taste and presentation. On our next opportunity to spend an extended time in Woodstock we will surely stay here again.

From the moment you arrive you know you have chosen the best place to stay . What a beautiful place . The attention to detail and the amenities are outstanding. The food divine and the welcome and care shown towards you is amazing . It’s not just an Inn it’s an experience that will forever live in your heart as will the host Charlotte who is charming and charismatic. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer .The townsfolk are unique in their hospitality. We felt part of the community on our first day . If Icould choose a spot to live this would be it . Thank you Charlotte for everything.

Can't say enough about the place. Great location easy walking distance to town. Parking on the premises. Charlotte and her husband did a great job with breakfast. Each day there was a different cookie to had. The other guests were all friendly and easy to talk to. Then there was Panda a dog who all it wanted was to be petted. Can't say enough about the place would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night Christmas stay at the Ardmore. The rooms were quaint and clean, the bed and linens very upscale and comfortable, and Charlotte was a fabulous hostess. We felt very much at home here. The inn is beautifully located within walking distance of everything in downtown Woodstock. Breakfasts were very special 3 course affairs that kept us filled up until late afternoon or dinner time. Charlotte gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and area attractions, which we appreciated. Even the house pups were great! Private parking in the back through the “covered bridge” was cute. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or to recommend the Ardmore to friends and family.
