Sleep Woodstock Motel—Woodstock's Unexpected Motel—is a classic roadside motel with park-at-your-door convenience and today's modern amenities. The original building was built in 1959 and added six more rooms in the early '60s. We've done a complete renovation and continually update the rooms as we listen to our guests' comments and requests. Our 12 clean, cozy, and fully renovated rooms include a "Wall of Art," free WiFi, a large flat-screen TV w/cable, in-room assistant, Keurig coffeemaker w/coffee & tea, small microwave, mini-fridge w/freezer, and Beekman 1802 bath products. Plus, four of our rooms are Dog-Friendly to accommodate your four-legged family members. You’ll sleep well—We promise.

Detailed Reviews
This place was very convenient for skiing at Killington at a reasonable price. The room was clean and very thoughtfully put together - from ample sockets, to a Keurig, to satellite TV to a modern bathroom. The owners were very nice and helpful. When there was a dump of snow overnight and they saw us packing for skiing in the morning, they came out and helped us clear the snow off our car. We came back next weekend and enjoyed the same welcome. They were also flexible when our plans changed on a short notice and we had to change our reservations to another weekend.

vkhangulov, thank you for staying with us multiple times!! We love our locations between Killington and Woodstock—it gives our guests the best of both worlds and makes us a four-season location. We have put in the rooms what we thought would be the right amenities including the smartphone/tablet charging station & Roxy to answer any questions you might have. We always try and help our guests in any way we can including uncovering cars. Lastly, we'd like to say thank you for taking the time to write your review, hope we get to see you stay with us again.

A little nervous about traveling (and competing at a horse show) during COVID, but such a pleasant surprise to find this wonderful motel open, near to GMHA (over the mountain dirt roads.) The room was modern, spotless, and very comfortable with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The AC worked perfectly (with remote,) the bathroom was well stocked with abundant towels, (and toiletries should you need them.) The bed was comfy, and bedding was fluffy. It was quiet, with a little table and chairs outside the room, one could enjoy sitting outside or wander across the road to check out the river. We did not travel with a pet, but there are pet friendly rooms available for those who travel with theirs. Will definitely stay there again, when visiting the area or competing at GMHA.

This is my second awesome experience the Motel. Great jumping off point for skiing at Killington/ Pico, or spending a fun day in Woodstock! We had some friends staying in another hotel who stopped by to pick us up and couldn't believe how nice the rooms were for the price we paid.
The rooms are clean, bright, and comfortable. Every day we came back to the room it was in perfect condition and no lack in attention to detail. The rooms have a nice mini fridge, microwave and single cup coffee maker. The rooms are meant to be a comfortable place to sleep after your day of adventuring- not a place to spend time- so get out and enjoy some of the awesome restaurants on the deals sheet too!!
Patrick is a fantastic owner, host and cares very deeply about each stay at the motel.
We are already planning our return trip(s)!

This is a fantastic little roadside hotel! When you check in it is more like arriving at someone's home rather than a Motel! Owners have put a lot of thought and style into their property! We were on a 2 week roadtrip from St. Louis to Acadia National Park hitting everything in between and up the coast of Maine. This overnight was our favorite! We went to Woodstock farmers market, picked up provisions and had a wonderful relaxing evening picnic out on the front (imaculate) lawn. Several tables and chairs available. Downtown Woodstock was so touristy and crowded I was happy to be out of town a bit. We traveled with our little pom-chi and there was no noise to disturb her at all throughout the night. Fully booked but, very quiet! We hit the diner next door for breakfast--very good! (omg the homemade jam!) Highly recommend this little motel, book it if you can get it! You won't regret!

Amy, we are so happy you "Did It." Thank you for staying with us and for this wonderful 5-bubble review. We're so excited you found us to be your best "overnight" during your trip. You describe us so wonderfully and let everyone know why it's better to stay with us just 8 minutes out of the Villiage, than in the Villiage. Lastly, thank you for your recommendation for others to stay with us or, as you say, "Do it!"

You can tell that a lot of thought went into furnishing and maintaining the rooms of this traditional roadside motel. Comfortable bed, big TV, low step-in tub/shower, a wall full of art, lights everywhere you want them, and clean as it gets. Great breakfast/lunch restaurant right next door. Stayed 2 nights, a nice stopover on our way to Maine, gave us a full day to explore Woodstock (4 miles away). Would do this again anytime.

Our stay here was last minute and we are so glad we decided to stay here. We loved it!! Sleep Woodstock is run by the most friendly and helpful people - office staff and cleaning staff alike. The room was neat and clean, more than sufficient amount of towels, fridge, compost/recycling/garbage bin and unique décor. There is a little diner next door for breakfast. The owners also provided a list of local places that they secured discounts for guests - just show your room key! The town of Woodstock is lovely and I wished we had been able to stay longer.

We (two couples) planned our October New England trip in July, with the last two nights being in Woodstock. We found Sleep Woodstock on line and were a bit skeptical from the pictures of the parking lot and the row of motel rooms - we even jokingly referred it to as the no tell motel.
We couldn’t have been more wrong! The rooms were clean and equipped with everything the traveler needs. The front lawn/entry area has chairs for food and drinks as well as chairs and a table outside each room. The owners were extremely knowledgeable and helped with places to eat and discounts and things to do in the Woodstock area. And the parking lot and room access turned out to be the most convenient of anywhere we stayed on the week long trip.
Finally, being 4 milked from Woodstock downtown meant the rates were lower and it was a beautiful 5-10 minute drive into town. We would highly recommend it to any couple or families.

OK, we were driving through multiple northeast states, and only seeking hotels near wherever we were near at the end of the day. What a pleasure to rather randomly arriving at the Sleep Woodstock Motel! (Really there is a Woodstock in VT!) Anyway, this older building has been fully modernized with room amenities that will make your stay quite comfortable. Check-in was a breeze (even with COVID protocols). They had a fridge/freezer, durable weather (think ski!) proof floors, Keurig, MW, and impressively full recycling set up for those who care for our planet. Had our travels not been delayed in Maine, we almost stayed there again 2 days later. Highly recommend!

June 2022. I was in Woodstock, VT for a family get together. I was looking for a place that was nice, reasonably priced, quiet and that would allow me to bring my dog. Sleep Woodstock has rooms specifically set aside for those bringing a dog and also dog free rooms (nice if you have allergies). It fit the bill.
The rooms were lovely, very clean and attractive with great art. The bathroom was pristine. The kitchen had a coffee maker (and plenty of coffee & creamers), a small fridge & microwave.
There's a great diner next door that opens early. Great breakfasts. Great pie and an ice cream window. (There were also healthier options at the diner as well.)
It was easy to reach the staff anytime, which was usually the owners. I'll be sure to return.

Pattie, thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write your very nice 5-bubble review. We are so happy you found your room "very clean and attractive" and the bathroom "pristine." We work very hard on cleaning and the details in our rooms. We agree, the Mountain Creamery next door, is excellent and serves the best VT breakfasts and lunches, and makes the best ice cream in the area. Again thank you, we'll look forward to your next stay with us.

Surprisingly high end for a roadside motel. Showed up with no reservations with 4 other motorcycle buddies, wet and tired. The owner hooked us up with some really nice rooms that were modern and ecclecticly decorated. He clearly put lots of effort in renovating and modernizing his motel. The owner even arranged for laundry for 5 of us and was quite helpful for other needs like food and drinks. Definitely recommended. Comfortable, clean and friendly. Excellent value. Would stay again.

Yes, we do. Has a ramp to get inside the room, a sink you can roll up under. Currently, it has a tube with a seat and grab-bars, but in November it'll be changing to a roll-in shower.
It has 2 full-size beds, microwave, mini-fridge, and Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea
Hello, sorry for the delayed answer. Yes, Woodstock is a fantastic place to see the foliage. Rt 100 is one of the best scenic routes in Vermont and we are dead center...so you can drive north or south. Here's a link to a great page of Vermont's Scenic Byways: vermont vacation . com / byways. You can order a wonder brochure with all the Byway listed with interesting things to see along each Byway.
Advice: book very early as all lodging in Woodstock fills early. Hope this helps!
