Stayed one night while seeing leaves and town visits-very clean and nice owner-would stay again while seeing leaf colors and town. The restaurant next door was great for our breakfast! Short nice drive to town avoiding heavy traffic. Quiet area.

Hotel's Favorite
What a gem! And owner could not be nicer! All rooms totally renovated with handsome modern flooring and headboard, great, sparking clean and stylish bathroom (love that cool sink and awesome countertop), comfy new beds, microwave and mini fridge, pull out desk. Just outside of Woodstock village itself, directly across road from Ottauquechee River. At night, the only sound is the quiet rushing river - talk about relaxing! What I love about these roadside motels especially these days is that you have a floor-through unit with openable windows in front and back for a lovely breeze (and given Covid, airing out a place is important). The mote's office is full of such cool stuff from the motel's history including original signs, the actual front grille to a 1958 iI think) car embedded in the front desk (!), original postcards from the motel's past, and lots of original artwork. Owner was fantastic - super friendly, and recommended the perfect place to us - Max's Tavern in Barnard. We highly recommend the place!

We (two couples) planned our October New England trip in July, with the last two nights being in Woodstock. We found Sleep Woodstock on line and were a bit skeptical from the pictures of the parking lot and the row of motel rooms - we even jokingly referred it to as the no tell motel. We couldn’t have been more wrong! The rooms were clean and equipped with everything the traveler needs. The front lawn/entry area has chairs for food and drinks as well as chairs and a table outside each room. The owners were extremely knowledgeable and helped with places to eat and discounts and things to do in the Woodstock area. And the parking lot and room access turned out to be the most convenient of anywhere we stayed on the week long trip. Finally, being 4 milked from Woodstock downtown meant the rates were lower and it was a beautiful 5-10 minute drive into town. We would highly recommend it to any couple or families.

Sleep Woodstock Motel exceeded my expectations. It's a little bit off the beaten path if you're in town to go to the shops in Woodstock/Quechee but we enjoyed that aspect because it was quiet at night. The rooms were updated and there were cute details throughout that made it feel chic yet homey. Patrick offered some great recommendations for food nearby. If you stay here definitely go to the diner next door in the morning - the coffee will perk you up and prepare you for your day's adventure! Pricing was a little steep but we traveled during a peak time so it was inexpensive in comparison to our other options.

Amy, thanks for saying we're a "great place to stay," that we "exceeded" your expectations and our rooms felt chic yet homey. " We are truly humbled. We were happy to help you find places to eat nearby and we are so happy you enjoyed breakfast at the Mountain Creamery next door. You did come to Vermont during foliage when rates are up, but we always try to be a good value for the area.

I loved this place! Don't be put off by the word motel. This is a lovely place to stay. It's set back off the main road into Woodstock, on the outskirt of town. The room was beautifully remodled, artisticly decorated and impecably clean. There was nothing they hadn't thought of! I highly recommend this little gem! There is a nice little restaraunt next door, The Mountain Creamery" , which the owner suggested, where you can walk over in the morning and have a delicious breakfast. We slept soundly, with no traffic noise, on a very comfortable bed. I look forward to returning in order to more thouroughly explore the very scenic town of Woodstock, knowing that a I have the perfect place to stay!!!
