It was a relaxing stop. Our room was in the Adirondack style cabins, but they were as nice as any other hotel room. We did not have reservations for dinner, so could not dine-in. We got pizza to go and ate it to our room (they could use more picnic tables). Then we went to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park to walk the trails. Nice benches in the garden for relaxing and reading. Contactless check-in. They sent us a code to access the room.

They called me about a policy change and they wanted a deposit. I called back because I had already paid in full and was overcharged. I asked the lady if they could change their policy on payment after I already paid? Her response in an unwelcome tone “yes we can change our policy whenever we want. we can even cancel your reservation if we want to” She threw my question in my face. I felt like she threatened my reservation. It was unexpected and unprofessional. I just asked a question. I never had an experience like that with any hotel. After that interaction. I decided to cancel my reservation,. I booked a different hotel in town. (They will cancel your reservation if they want to)

My boyfriend and I planned a getaway after being confined to our home for about a year’s time. We had planned to snowshoe while in VT and tour the quaint town of Woodstock. It turns out the Kedron Valley Inn and its owners were our favorite part of the trip. I called the night before we were due to arrive and they squeezed us into the restaurant. The whole experience was a true delight. Service was fantastic. The cocktails were unbelieveable and the food was a nice departure from what we’d been making at home all year. We finally felt alive and out and about again. In the morning, we walked over to the adjacent General Store only to find the cutest gifts and yummy food to sustain us during our snowshoeing adventure. On our second next we went back to the restaurant and had another amazing meal amongst people that felt like family. We will certainly be making this an annual trip! Thanks KVI ! What a gem !

While we are all aware of the COVID restrictions in Vermont, we find it completely ludicrous that they require diners to wear a mask while sitting /Dining at their pizza restaurant. No other restaurant require this. The three lonely tables in their ample dining room should have raised red flags as clearly this establishment is tearing the a... of the ridiculous COVID restrictions. Last year we were informed by a staff member that they were receiving the PPP assistance from government so I guess customers are no longer needed nor wanted at any longer. I will abide by the rules but will NEVER support this or any establishment who discriminates customers and treats them like lepers. This is racist in every single sense of the word. Shame on you.

The only good thing about the place was the bed and room had privacy. We had previously stayed here and had wonderful time but it has new owners since and Covid and everything we had come to expect did not happen (much worse). No working fireplace in room, if there had been when we lost heat and hot water, we could have had a fire to keep us warm, but no luck. We had to go next door to the General Store to warm up and to have them call someone to come over to find out why no heat. The owners are not on the premises. We had to eat breakfast's at the General Store and lunch. Had to make reservations on YELP to eat dinner. The first meal was very expensive and not worth what we paid, the following dinner we had pizza and it was burnt and not very good for the price we paid and we where cold during the inter meal. NO cell phone service, only WiFi. Thankfully for the ladies that work next door at the General store, we would have had a even worse time then what we did. No room service at all the 4 days we stayed. They do still take dogs and have a area where to walk and clean up.
