Jill and Tony are most gracious hosts and have such a beautiful property. The Blue Horse Inn is quintessential Woodstock and a wonderful place to stay. The breakfasts are delicious, and the grounds immaculate. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing place. The location is great because it’s a short walk into town and just off the main road. We stayed in the pet friendly room and they treated our pup so well! We highly recommend The Blue Horse Inn and would absolutely stay here again!

Property's Favorite Review
We spent a calming, comforting, affirming five nights at the Blue Horse Inn. The property, grounds, accommodations, and especially the attentive and gracious treatment by the hosts reminded us of the finest B&B's we've enjoyed in Mallorca, Catalunya, and Amsterdam. We've stayed in Woodstock many times, but with this as our home base the town seemed more charming, more idyllic, and more enjoyable. Breakfast itself was a joy, leaving me in search of the Michelin star! Jill and Tony made every aspect of our stay just right. We felt both at home and as guests in the home of good friends. Thank you for a memorable stay that we hope to repeat very soon.

Beautifully renovated 1831 home. Charming, authentic, comfortable. Kind and present innkeepers, Jill and Tony. Gorgeous huge back lawn leading down to a small pool on the banks of a river. Delicious breakfast on deck overlooking the lawn. The food was so beautifully presented. Located in the heart of Woodstock. Go go go

My husband & I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful B&B! I could have stayed all day on the grounds and read but we wanted to venture out. I wish we had one more day to just sit and relax to enjoy the beautiful back yard. We sat by the fire in the a.m. and enjoyed our coffee and then had a wonderful breakfast! Jill is an awesome cook! When we came back in the afternoon, we would enjoy a glass of our wine out on the back porch. This B&B is in a great location as it is walkable to town & to hiking trails. I plan to organize a girl’s trip next year at Christmas time!

Wonderful experience. Beautifully appointed and furnished rooms. Scrumptious breakfasts on a par with The Four Seasons! Jill and Tony are devoted and delightful Inn-keepers who can't do enough for you. Impeccably tailored grounds consonant with all the historic and restored homes in this gem of a Vermont village.

We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding near by. We absolutely fell in love with the Blue Horse Inn! It is so cozy, spotless, the grounds are manicured and beautiful and Tony and Jill could not be better hosts. The breakfast was top shelf! We felt so spoiled. Will absolutely be going back. We could not have been happier with our stay. You have to try this place!

The smallest of details have been thought through, and more importantly, executed. Cannot beat the hospitality, the communication, the location in town/on the river and the delicious 5* breakfast! Thank you Tony & Jill and your staff for some great memories.

There are B&B's and there are B&B's. Blue Horse ranks among the very best in every category. Jill and Tony get EVERYTHING right. Miss it at your peril. Everything you need is in walking distance. Breakfast, prepared by Jill, could not have been better. You are made to feel at home in every possible way.

My husband and I and our golden retriever, Alfie, just spent three delightful nights and days at the Blue Horse Inn in Woodstock VT, on the enthusiastic recommendation of our daughter and son-in-law, who had recently stayed there. Warm and gracious hosts, Jill and Tony, made us feel immediately at home in their beautifully appointed and artistically restored home, filled with paintings, books, ceramics, and orchids. Their dog- friendly two-room suite with its own entrance, and with views of the sweeping lawn and gardens and river beyond, was among the loveliest dog friendly accommodations we’ve had in years of traveling with our dogs. Alfie couldn’t have been happier, especially after a vigorous playdate with Rufus, the canine innkeeper and fellow golden retriever! Add beautifully presented, delicious and unique breakfasts, served in a bright airy dining room with a cozy fireplace, and it was a perfect retreat!
