Despite the views it is not acceptable in this day and age to have rooms that have broken bathroom units, carpets that are frayed and present a trip hazard and a general state of repair that would embarrass any self respecting two star hotelier. This hotel group needs to completely refurbish the hotel as it is literally falling apart -... More

This place is worth 5 stars just for the setting. It is literally built into a cliff-side hundreds of feet above the countryside, with views across a large lake to distant hills. What a place to be at sunset and sunrise! With all rooms facing that view and backing to a cliff, it is a super quiet, serene place (assuming... More

Fabulous location, the hotel is only 2 star but the view is 7 star. Situated at the top of the village whilst a little tired the hotel was spotless service was good prices were very reasonable. we stayed three nights and used it as a base. Ronda is only 25 kms away and the road down to Marbella. Limited breakfast... More

Located on the mountain facing the large lake (reservoir) with wonderful views, this hotel is the best choice in Zahara de la Sierra. The room in very convenient, staff extremely nice and helpful, and the rooms rates are very reasonable.

Staying in the hotel at the other side of the lake instead of a hotel in gatwick, the hotel is pretty basic but you get what you pay for it is well priced, the big seller for me is the view from the rooms out of this world they look directly over the lake. So that made it for me... More

The Zahara de la Sierra, to give it its proper name, is exactly what it claims to be: A two star establishment at a two star price and two star services. Our room was spotless, small but convenient and of course there is the often mentioned views over the lake.. Sure, the carpet in the passage can do with replacement... More

We considered several options for a white hill town on a recent trip to Andalucia and ultimately opted for Zahara de la Sierra - great place for a visit with breathtaking views over the countryside and the lake. It is very conveniently located for exploring the hike up the mountain to see the castle. The hotel is everything we wanted... More

We stayed here for three nights. The Hotel is in a good location, internet worked well, staff were nice, it was clean and had a wonderful view. Breakfast was not great and the hotel is looking warn at the edges. Still we would of given it a 4 out of 5 review, until check out. We negotiated a price on... More

Once splendid, this hotel has, lets face it, "faded" a bit. The rooms are fine, not too small, and clean. But the decor is old fashioned, the carpets a bit threadbare, and a lick of paint would come in handy. But the price to amenities ratio is excellent! The views cannot be rivalled. Set high in a beautiful pueblo blanco,... More
