We spent a week here in October to visit family in Alora. The gardens are stunning and well kept, the pool and poolside are perfect with plenty of seating so you can follow the sun around the garden. The room was spotless and very comfortable a perfect match for us as we are vegan and like to cook our own meals so the kitchenette was very helpful. We were welcomed on our first night with a local beer and a friendly chat with the owners and in the morning a delicious vegan breakfast 🙌 overall our stay was as perfect as possible so many thanks to Erica and Rik for welcoming us and letting us have cuddles with your fur babies 🐶

We visited Rik and Erica in oktober 2013 for 3 nights, and we felt so much at home that we extended our stay with 2 nights. They are excellent hosts.
We stayed in one of the B&B rooms, and were lucky that the other B&B room was not occupied, so we had all of the floor, bathroom and nice terrace to ourselves. I'm not sure I would have like it so much if there had been other guests as well - since this would imply sharing the bathroom and the terrace.
Breakfast is very good, and so are the meals we had at night.
The hosts gave us helpful suggestions for trips. And we went for a tour on racebike with Rik. Recommendable!.
Although the B&B is in the countryside, it is near Ronda, Antequera and Malaga. Perfect place to slow down and still untertake some activities.
We seriously consider going back here next year to do some more racebiking.

Only passing through, but had a wonderful 3 days. Felt like staying with family; in the center of a beautiful region, nearby Malaga, Ronda and some nice mountain-lakes.
Next time will spend a longer time to enjoy the hospitality and accomodations in all its glory.
Thanks, Erica and Rik, wish you all the best.....

I stayed at Casa El Naranjo in August 2011 and had a great time. The Casa is in a quiet village and a great place to stay when you are planning daytrips either hiking and biking or visiting places nearby, like Malaga. I stayed as a B &B guest (there are also three appartments) and enjoyed both breakfast and diner at the Casa. The food is great: fresh, nutritious and varied. The hosts are very friendly, the swimmingpool is lovely and the rooms and sanitary facilities clean and spacious. Definitely a place I´ll come back to, either alone or with my childeren!

My wife, son, parents and I stayed here for one week around the turn of the year in 2006.
The weather was great; an average of 21 degrees during our stay.
Along with the great hospitality of the owners Erica and Rik we had a wonderful time.
We had a great bed and breakfast. The rooms are nicely decorated and everything is very clean.
Breakfast is luxurious with eggs, meats, marmelade, coffee, tea or fresh orange-juice from the orchard.
They are great cooks with every day a different dinner. This is optional of course.
The environment and nature are overwhelming. Great mountains, a beautiful lake nearby and a few ancient cities worth visiting, such as Sevilla, Cordoba, Malaga and Ronda.
Next summer we will visit them again. There is a lot more to be seen and we would like to use the beautiful swimming-pool.
Definitely a place to be with or without children.

We have visited Casa El Naranjo for the second time in October 2007. The second visit was on purpose because even the first stay was okay, while the B&B wasn't officially open then (August 2006)! The B&B is located on a very quiet location, which we like very much, from where you can travel to many places like Alhambra (Granada), Antequera, Ronda, Sevilla and Malaga and ofcourse the coast/beach. Hiring a car is very cheap in Spain and if you don't like to drive by yourself there is a trainstation at armreach and one in the village.
Once at Casa El Naranjo the Dutch owners do all possible to make your stay very pleasant, which succeeds in a very natural way. The breakfast is always sufficient and fresh. There is a dinner possibility, which we can recommend, and in the neighbourhood there are nice little restaurants. Back at the location there is a lovely swimmingpool, quite big and with enough chairs and beds around the pool. The rooms (B&B as well as the appartments are comfortable and big enough for a longer stay.
We are planning now a trip through Spain and ofcourse we are planning to stay a few day or more at Casa El naranjo once again!

We stayed September 2007 in the Casa El Naranjo in Alora, Spain, after a journey through France and Spain. Casa El Naranjo is situated in the hills of Andalusia near the small village Alora.
The Casa is a beautiful restored Andalusian house which gives not only space to families with children, but is also suitable just for couples. The apartment we rented in Casa El Naranjo was very well kept and clean as well.
Every evening we have enjoyed the delicious diners who were served on the terrace of Casa El Naranjo. All for a nice price. If you like a bottle of wine with your diner: also for a nice price you can have one.
When you like to explore the environment it is advisable to rent a car for your own. There is a possibility for public transport, but with your own car you reach real nice places which can not be reached by train or bus.
We have made several bicycle tours, guided by the host Rik. An experience which is recommendable. Specially when you like to ride bicycle, the environment is tremendous. Easy cols but also difficult cols are available for your thrills. Be aware you inform Rik about your skills; whether you are an experienced biker or not.
As far as we know, there is up to now no possibility to rent a mountain bike or racing bike. So, you have to take you own bike with you. When you are travelling by air plane you can use a so called bike case. You can rent it or you can buy it. When you are travelling by car you can mount your bikes easily on your car.
For the bikers among us it is also recommendable to train biking in Andalusia in the winter period. The temperatures in Andalusia by day are in the six coldest months between 15 and 22 Centigrade. So perfect biking weather.
So, also for the sportsmen among us, Casa El Naranjo is the place to be!

We stayed at Casa el naranjo in December, but we have been there in May as well.
It's a good place to stay with or witout a family.
The couple that run the B&B are warm and friendly, the rooms and appts. are clean and well kept, as is the swimmingpool area.
The B&B offers dinner as well if you sign up for the menu of the day. Good food and the paella is wonderful.
Nice place to relax.

Last October I stayed at Casa El Naranjo which is situated in a valley with a lot of orchards like olives, oranges and limons orchards, surrounded by mountains in Andalusia, near Alora.
I stayed there for a week in a B&B room, with a very good bed, enough space for 1 or 2 person(s), The bathroom with a toilet, a sink and a bath/shower is also very good.
Breakfast is very good, orange juice, coffee/tea, rolls etc.
Almost every evening I had diner at Casa El Naranjo and enjoyed it very much. So if you don't want to go out for diner, the excellent hostess and host Erica and Rik serve a delicious diner.
The landscape is very beautiful, mountains, orchards, there are also very beautiful lakes. You can for instance go biking or go for a walk or a swim in the lake. A car or bike is neccesary.
You will not get bored, there's enough to do in the neigbourhood, but you can also stay and relax at Casa El Naranjo just like me.
By the way, this wasn't my first at Casa El Naranjo.
So go and enjoy!

The B&B with beautiful garden is very attractively decorated, well maintained and sparkling clean and located in beautiful surroundings. But even more important is the hospitality of the host and hostess. Every wish of ours was fulfilled again. The bikes were in top condition, the routes were tailor-made and we enjoyed the delicious meals. You can pedal 50 km for breakfast, only then will you get an appetite for the packed lunch that you can put together yourself every day from the breakfast table. After cycling, dive into the pool to cool off. What does a man want more? We do not know
