Detailed Reviews
Saw a sign to the hotel and dropped in to see if they had a room available. We were well received by a very helpful lady at the front desk. Took the room and so glad we did. Parking was very convenient and the very short walk to the hotel restaurant for breakfast was most enjoyable ... as was the breakfast. The location of this facility was perfect ... on the coast of the Adriatic and a short and relaxing walk to the village of Izola.

The rooms in the hotel are new and really nice. My room didn't have a sea view but it had a great big balcony. The restaurant is also OK. Unfortunately not as cozy but there is a good selection of food. Drinks are not that cheap

I've stayed in this resort just two days as we were on our way back home. It's very good location but can't say that the hotel was a good one. We've stayed at "Perla" (there are 4 or 5 buildings that makes the resort) and it is quite dated. No fridge in the room but the AC was OK. Anyway the place is near to the town and it is really a beautiful small quaint town of fishers. We didn't care that the beach was crowded, the sea was dirty and slide very old and worn. But if you're looking for that holiday is not the best place. The breakfast is good and there is plenty of choice .There are all the facilities in walking distance. There are tennis courts and wellness hotel as well but we didn't use them. We had a great time but certainly because of the location not because of the hotel.

Before we checked in, I called the hotel three times to check about parking, but no response. We checked in to the hotel yesterday and were greeted by two rude and arrogant staff members at the reception. Finding key information is like a scavenger hunt. The phone number of the reception remains a secret. Next, the building of the hotel Mirta has an awful smell, as the carpets were cleaned and, I assume, not dried properly. This morning's breakfast was acceptable enough, but undrinkable coffee in 2020 is unforgivable. Parking is free for guests, but not guaranteed (??). The only good thing about the resort is the beach, which seems to be public and not connected to the hotel anyway.

This hotel can be classified at least 3 stars.
It's divided in different buildings but only 2 are indicated as 4 stars, the others are 3 declared. So you think you are paying for 4 stars service and you find something very different. Rooms are quite renovated but the moquette is dirty both in stairs and rooms, the cleaning we had only 1 time in 4 days because they have few and slow people. In fact we had to try not to kill a big spider but pushing it outside the window with lot of difficult. We have asked a quiet room during the booking at the top floor because I am ill and I need to rest much but the receptionist gave us a first floor room, in front of the stairs, so we could listen all people going around the building and children running on our heads even when I needed my noon rest. Result: we spent a lot of money for a very poor service. We didn't receive any discount at the beach and bistro of the hotel as promised. And last but not least a terribile breakfast, with many products of very poor quality and absolutely disgusting coffee, all served in a big restaurant without any rules to manage all guests. Very bad experience and worst of lot of money. Our vacation was completed ruined

The hotel has been newly renovated on the outside, but the inside is only nice on the surface. There is mold on the ceiling and flaking plaster. The wallpaper is coming off and the sockets are very loose. Incidentally, there are only two sockets in the whole room. The food is mass-produced and fried to death. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience.

+1
A truly beautiful place. I couldn't use the beach because I came in April and it wasn't open yet. Not bad because I used the indoor swimming pool with heated sea water which also has a corner with some relaxing hydromassage. I also took advantage of the bicycle rental service that the hotel offers as the area is well organized with cycle paths. I recommend doing the Parenzana which goes to Portorose. Very nice. The rooms are very clean and soundproof. Pet free. The restaurant is very good and the food varies every evening. Breakfast of all kinds, both sweet and savory and plentiful. Very friendly and helpful staff. A very positive experience. You can reach the center of Izola on foot in 15 minutes along the seafront.

This "resort" has potential, however I must admit to bring under impressed. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has decent food with incredible views. I will say the spa/sauna was wonderful and very nice and relaxing.
However, the slide (which was a big reason why I booked) is only included if you are all inclusive. We paid for half board, and therefore every slide cost my daughter €1. The slide is old, worn down, and not even that cool so I felt a bit mislead. The beach is all rocks and concrete, and is PACKED! It is not a "private" beach as advertised, yet open to public as well and you are literally laying next to someone's feet to even get a spot. Plus, the indoor pool was completely empty and unavailable. My family and I will not stay here again and I will be sure to tell others that may ask to look elsewhere.

Wi-fi is not available on public areas and not in rooms. No fridge in rooms. Those two things need to be modified. From another point of view, this hotel has excellent location with nice beach which makes it recommendable for families with kids.

This hotel is an avarage hotel of all. it has 5 buildings and 3 of them are 3stars and the rests are 4 star equipped. When we booked the rooms at the agency in Szeged, Hungary, we wanted the 4 star one and payed for the 4 star one. My father had only 2 wishes no stairs and fridge in the room. Well NONE of them came true. We had rooms on the 2nd floor on the first day and no fridge in none of the rooms plus the rooms were in the 3 star part. Whatever..... Since my dad cant climb the stairs I wanted them to give hime at least a room on the ground floor. Well he got on the second day... no lift, no fridge... I cant decide who's fault it was the agency or the hotel...
The beach itself is clean and good enough for kids as well....Breakfast was about 200meters from our apartment but was very deliscious. You could have anything you like... I can tell anything...
Basically it has a 3 star review.... I think I would go back but I would be more circumspect.

Room Tip: Rooms are more silent on the south but choose a room in the 4 star part...not much difference...

Dear Mrs. Lara,
Our pool is 7m x 17m (depth 130 cm) we don`t have children's swimming pool. We have our Hotel Histrion in Portorož with a big swimming pool or better acquapark Laguna Bernardin.
Mi spiace, non lo so, comunque il personale della reception è molto gentile e risponderà sicuramente a tutte le vostre domande.
Io ci sono stato in inverno ed i cani li ho visti solo passeggiare sulla banchina di giorno ed anche di sera.

"there is an extra charge for sea view (in Mirta) but in my opinion there is no real nice sea view (except on the top floor) as the trees & waterslide are obscuring the view. ask for a corner room at the back of Mirta and you have the almost the same view as if you paid the extra charge."Read full review
