We spent an amazing 2 days at Mt. Williamson this July. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Cris and the staff treated us wonderfully and went out of their way to help us out when we needed some blister supplies. The fresh / hot breakfast was delicious and the fresh peaches from their tree were awesome. We were originally thinking... More

I had the small cabin with a fenced in yard for the dog and it was a fantastic set-up with an outdoor area with a small firebox, seating and table - a great place to be after a day of hiking or sightseeing. We loved looking at the stars - more than I ever see at home. The little touches... More

can't say enough good things about Strider and her staff. I had two of my own kids and two of their friends start the JMT on July 17th. Being newbies, they underestimated some of their food needs. After a week on the trail, they needed to come off, stock up on some different food items, and they were desperate for... More

We stayed two nights at this motel, at the beginning and end of a backpacking trip in over Kearsarge Pass. The motel owner drove us to the trail head so we could begin our hike and was very helpful and understanding as she is a hiker herself. The motel itself is delightful! - the little rooms are separate bungalows, which... More

Was quite a treat to stay here before my big hike up Mt Whitney. The room was clean, comfortable and a great price. The hosts were personable and welcoming. Breakfast was the best! I would highly recommend this to any weary traveler in this desolate part of California.

Chris and Jim are very accommodating hosts. So friendly and helpful! They also serve a very nice breakfast. My casita was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed sitting around the communal outside area and chatting with the other visitors.

This little place was great! Cabins are nicely decorated (pinstripe sheets, quilts, lots of good pillows) and super clean. Owners are very friendly. Freshly made breakfast in the morning and very reasonable price. Beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mtns.

I wasn't sure what to expect but was ready to take whatever I could find off my beaten path. Boy was I surprised when I opened the door to my tiny cabin! There was a beautiful quilt with a mini fridge/micro combo. and two wine glasses. It was tiny living but just what a tired hiker needed. The next morning... More

I booked a room as a stop-over on the way up to Onion Valley to camp and hike with my husband, and as the reviews say, this place is top notch, clean, and very comfortable (ultra extra firm mattress), with amazing hosts. Jim cooked us breakfast, (simple scrambled eggs, toast, and one slice bacon, coffee), while Strider drove the early... More

First time stay at the Mt. Williamson Motel. Met by Jim and Strider at the front desk (small cottage at the back and to the right). Easiest check-in EVER. My room was cleaner than some large hotels. Well furnished and interesting art on the walls. Real towels like at home! The site has multiple fruit trees that are hand watered... More
