A lot of good stuff has already been posted about this motel and we found every word of it to be true. We spent a night here on our way to Yosemite and here's a summary of our experience - Highs: - Very clean rooms; they've got a homely feel - Very clean and comfy beds (especially if your prefer... HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2015

I had the small cabin with a fenced in yard for the dog and it was a fantastic set-up with an outdoor area with a small firebox, seating and table - a great place to be after a day of hiking or sightseeing. We loved looking at the stars - more than I ever see at home. The little touches... More

Returning for the third time in three years to a warm welcome from Strider, Jim and Daniel. Their attention to detail and the guest's needs are first class. Dependable and conscientious in meeting the needs of the hiker; on or off the trail. Cabins are comfy and well appointed for the hiker or traveler passing on 395. You may arrive... More

I LOVED my room, LOVED my breakfast. LOVED the company-staff and guests. I regret not accepting the offer of a cold beer on arrival-guess I have to come back! Cute town too. Also I didn't realize until the next morning that that sweet bike was available to me-it would have been perfect for checking out the views around sunset.

Very comfortable cabins await you at Mt Williamson "Basecamp". Tailored for Sierra Nevada hikers Mt Williamson offers a comfortable break for folk hiking on the John Muir, Pacific Crest Trails or the many other hiking routes nearby. Even if you are not a hiker this is a friendly place to stop over on your drive north to Yosemite or south... More

We spent an amazing 2 days at Mt. Williamson this July. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Cris and the staff treated us wonderfully and went out of their way to help us out when we needed some blister supplies. The fresh / hot breakfast was delicious and the fresh peaches from their tree were awesome. We were originally thinking... More

can't say enough good things about Strider and her staff. I had two of my own kids and two of their friends start the JMT on July 17th. Being newbies, they underestimated some of their food needs. After a week on the trail, they needed to come off, stock up on some different food items, and they were desperate for... More

We stayed two nights at this motel, at the beginning and end of a backpacking trip in over Kearsarge Pass. The motel owner drove us to the trail head so we could begin our hike and was very helpful and understanding as she is a hiker herself. The motel itself is delightful! - the little rooms are separate bungalows, which... More

Was quite a treat to stay here before my big hike up Mt Whitney. The room was clean, comfortable and a great price. The hosts were personable and welcoming. Breakfast was the best! I would highly recommend this to any weary traveler in this desolate part of California.

Chris and Jim are very accommodating hosts. So friendly and helpful! They also serve a very nice breakfast. My casita was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed sitting around the communal outside area and chatting with the other visitors.
