We booked 2 rooms for the night as a stop over in Brân for 3 adults and 2 children. I had emailed the hotel before arrival to check we could get the extra bed in one of the rooms. Once we checked in the lady advised us that her manager had said we could have an extra room for the additional person for the cost of the extra bed. The lady in reception was lovely and welcoming.
The hotel is lovely - the rooms have an old feel to them with dark wood furniture and white walls. Our room had a view out to Brân castle which was lit up at night.
The hotel has a pool but we didn’t have time to use this, we did however use the games room facilities downstairs. There is a pool table, darts, air hockey and ping pong.
Breakfast was included in the price and was nice.
The fact we were the only guests in the hotel in a Tuesday night added to the atmosphere of being in Brân.
I would definitely stay here again if I came back and would hope to stay more than 1 night.
There is also a lovely old Dog called Max who just chills around the hotel which we made friends with 😊

It was an amazing experience. I loved the room, the swimming pool, the garden, the location, and the massage. It was quiet, which I appreciated. The staff was welcoming, smiling, kind, helpful, friendly, and positive. The room was checked daily to ensure we had everything we needed. Everything was wonderful. Thank you, everyone, for such a lovely stay.

Hotel looks very nice, newly build and very well located. Best thing about hotel are the facilities: football and tennis court yard, pool with sauna, table tennis, billiards, darts, air-hockey table. Nice bar and absolutely extremely good food. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and absolutely only positive feedbacks. We were with a 29 people group. The only negative aspect about this hotel is some unfriendly staff which needs to be immediatelly improved. Rooms are clean and standard for a 4 star facility. Very nice surroundings of the hotel.

I went there for the SPA, in February 2020 with a two-year old. The water in the main swimming pool was too cold, way too cold even for training, let alone for relaxing. The jacuzzi was too hot. There was no way to adjust the temperature of the water, neither for the jacuzzi nor for the main swimming pool.

There was no bench for changing your shoes with slippers, we had to sit on the floor. Also overpriced for what it offers: 25 RON for children (even babies pay the full entrance), 40 RON for adults.

I would not go there again.

We stayed one night at Gentiana pension, we payed 300 lei (67 Euro) per night, but really was not what we've expected. The staff is not friendly, services and breakfast are for a 3 star location (the most). Indeed the building is very nice, rooms are great, we had a room with a bathtub, and a very spacious bed, you can see that a big amount of money were invested there, but that's it, only a building. Even amenities were not for a 4 star. Although the location has a SPA, there weren't any slippers, we had to buy ones from the city, and it is useless to say that the saunas weren't turned on at 12:00 PM( program is between 08:00 AM and 09:00 PM). Really we are not going to choose this location for our next visit in Bran, not at this price.

If you are going there for a teambuilding, you might want to think twice, because of the following aspects:
- unfriendly staff ( after 10PM they are beginning to invite you to sleep; after 11 PM they are looking at you angry that you are still in the lobby, laughing and feeling good, eventhough you are not drunk or having unsuitable behavior other than laughing). After demanding us to stop our game and laughter, they had to be rude, saying that they are having a certain working schedule and they have to stay up for us, although we didn’t need their assistance at all.
- you must ask them to turn on the heating, even though you are staying with your winter jacket on, inside the training room;
-the lobby and restaurant are very cold and also windy, because not all the dors or windows are closing hermetically.
- if you are having special dietary needs, they are forgetting what or how many portions you have asked for;
- the cleanliness is questionable...for example, in my room I felt disgusted when I saw how the radiator looked like.

Everything related to accomodation it was almost OK. Better to avoid the third floor (no elevator and only ceiling windows where we could "admire" just the sky/clouds). Large rooms, nice pool and lobby.
The kitchen's capacity it is very limited. The pension was full and we waited about 90 minutes till the food came. And the choices are very limited ("heavy food" mostly).
Employees were very nice.
Lots of parking places.
Quiet environment (150 m from the main street)

We had our wedding here, with 30 of our friends and everything was great: the food, the rooms, the staff, the terrace, the pool. Claudia was a great host and she provided everything we needed at a great price.

I searched for a place where me and my family will spend the holidays. A place where we can hide from the noise of the city and from it’s pollution, in which we can listen to birds’ sounds and hear the hum of the forest, where we can admire the mountain, where we can have the comforts of home and hospitality of the old house.
An ambition doable. We almost resigned, but in the last time we found a place named flower, Gentiana, which was exactly the place we were looking for.
Since the beginning of 2017, vacantions and holidays have come to divide between home, Bucharest and Pension Gentiana, Bran.
Silence resigned once you enter the courtyard on sunny terrace in the winter or spring. Huge rooms, well equipped with everything you need and isolated, so the noise did not penetrate from one room to another. For a plus, each room has a balcony.
Before running into the room to rest, you are greeted by the hosts with smile, good mood and the best and tasty food, mostly made from natural ingredients from home. Huge plates can saturate even the most hungry guests.
Besides our desires, now fulfilled, we found ways to relax, when you must change the plans because of the cold or rain. The indoor swimming pool is huge, the jacuzzi was the best way to relax after a day of walking with negative temperatures. I received even the most relaxing body massage. The first night I remembered, with my husband,were the rules of billiard and table tennis. I have not tested the sauna. We are looking forward to warm weather, so we could play tennis on the special court arranged near the building. This summer, the most excited will be our boy, aged two years, because the hosts arranged a playground in the courtyard.
Once you accommodate, all attractions come in the room rate. Besides, who likes to feel adrenaline, can opt for off road mountain trips.
Not far from the pension is Bran Castle.
When you really want something, you have to search continuously, do not give up on your dream!
Thank you dear hosts, for helping us to fulfill our dream, you have given the whole family good mood and energy! We promise to keep the tradition on the right side this year!

Location is great but the management is far away from what it should be. The lack of personnel and the extra strict rules regarding meal scheduling make it a 3 stars max experience. The location is nice, pool is great, the facilities are 4-5 stars, the driving access is ok, tennis court is great, the conference room is nice, but there is no one actually taking care of the real feeling setter, and that is Services!
