Its a very nice and calming place away from the town, its the best place to relax and sleep in. The only noises that can be heard are birds and Biggy the dog. Adela makes very healthy and tasty food and Teo is an expert in chess! i recommend everyone to visit Amizadil house

We spent eight nights at Amizadil House located at the edge of woodland on a beautiful hillside near Sighetu Marmatiei. Despite being only 6 km or so from the town (the last 2.5 km along an unpaved road) the valley felt completely cut off. At night the sounds of sheep bells across the valley, the sawing chirp of crickets, the...

A sublime human experience! Maramures discovered through its people, its cultural heritage and history, its landscapes, all combined into a unique ensemble skillfully laid out for us by our hosts. One of the few places, you wish to come back to. A rare and truly unforgettable stay!

We had a great time staying at Amizadil. Teo and Adela were like good friends and we really appreciated their hospitality, good food and our interesting discussions. Teo was an excellent guide and we had a couple of lovely days in Maramures. We saw things and met people, that you normally never meet, thanks to Teo's social skills, excellent knowledge...

After arriving a bit tired and grubby from an overnight train through the Ukraine, it was fantastic to arrive here to cold drinks and a beer - much needed. There are 2 houses, one has the bedrooms and the other a kitchen and dining room on the lower ground floor. Everything is spotlessly clean and inviting. Whilst we visited it...

We had a really lovely 2 night stay in Amizadil. It was a beautiful and peaceful experience to stay in such an authentic wooden building, and we loved the views from our room and the terrace. Our bedroom was charmingly furnished in a traditional way, with comfortable beds. The hosts Adele and Teo are very nice and informative about the...

We spent 5 days in this wonderful Amizadil house, which is set in a deep green valley, full of the sound of cicadas and cuckoos. We walked in the oak forests and through meadows full of wild flowers. The house is within easy reach of peaceful, almost medieval villages, each one with its remarkable wooden church. But what made our...

Teo and Adela were the most perfect of hosts...they even gave up their own room so that we didn't have to climb any stairs with our baby! They are very warm and knowledgeable hosts living in a lovely authentic home in an idyllic location. Local produce, beautifully cooked, and home produced wine also helped to make this one of the...
