Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for three days (also the New Year’s day) and it was more than great! Big room and clean, all the personal was more then nice and always there to please you, we had music each night, they organized for us (we were 6 families with kids) a trip with horses to visit the Village Museum (there was again traditional music, hot wine and food) and a campfire. About food and drinks (horinca) there are not enough words to describe how good it was. I am a vegetarian, and they always had a special menu for me. I trully recomand you the entire area (Maramures) and this hotel.

We only went to te restaurant during the morning to have breakfast. The location is very beautiful, especially during autumn(we chose to eat outside, on the patio) and the food was tasty and filling (we had the scrambled eggs and tea). The waitress was very nice and warm and made us feel welcomed. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and we definitely recommend the place (next time we are in Sighet we plan to book a room here too).

We stayed here for 3 nights and had booked the deluxe apartment. It was spacious with a separate seating area but was at the top of the hotel and the windows were small Velux type windows which meant it was very dark and there was no view. Also because it was at the top it got very warm and the air conditioning was good enough to cool the room. Unless you need the space I would suggest you save some money and go for a room with a balcony. Also the lift only goes to the first 2 floors so if you a little immobile make sure you ask for a room on the first or second floor.

The hotel looks very nice in the photos. However, it is very old and in need of updating. Elevator does not go to the top floors, rooms while large has old furniture and bathroom, no central A/C and the wall unit was very loud and not very effective.

I am reviewing the restaurant only.
A terrible experience. Overpriced old food. The dishes were not brought at the same time which meant many of us sat waiting while others were eating. The food is not worth the visit. Old and not tasty. The prawn pasta was just spaghetti with plain tomato sauce and a few fried prawns thrown on top, the polenta was old and crumbly, the garlic sauce was bitter (old).
I do not recommend the restaurant in this hotel. Do not waste your money.

Plenty of picturesque views of the hills around. Very comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast in the morning. This hotel was pretty centrally located and we were able to get to most places in the city center with a 20 minute walk. We also ate dinner at the hotel one night and had good food and service.

A decent hotel overall; as it was the best (maybe only) choice in Sighet. The rooms are not very big and the beds could be better. Staff is helpfull. Decent breakfast. The food is traditional romanian and some dishes are fatty.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have visited them many other times prior to that. We have family in Sighetu that we visit often. Gradina Morri offers outstanding service, amazing choice of Romanian wine, tasty food, good breakfast buffet and so on. The rooms are charming with lovely mountain view or park view. Staff are very friendly and also good ambassador for visitors to learn more about the region. English is well spoken. Live music in the summer, think once a week.

+1
Made a mistake and accidentally booked this gem. We liked it so much we extended our stay. Staff are amazing. The rooms and views are breathtaking. Great breakfast included. Would definately stay here again. Don't book from a third party (Expedia, etc.), the hotel only gets a reduced amount.
