Very convenient, comfortably small, and a wonderfully warm, helpful and gracious staff headed by Fabio and Antonietta. Here you are in Italy, not in a glitzy international chain with no individual identity. Plus good food in the Oro Rosso restaurant!

Oro Rosso was our first stay in Umbria. It is an old building (but then all Montefalco is old) on the main street leading from an ancient gate up to the town piazza. Outside on the narrow street is a small terrace leading into the restaurant room and bar area. Entry to reception is also on the small side street...

We chose this hotel in Montefalco based on reviews on TA. While Antonia and Fabio are welcoming and charming, Antonia speaks some English but Fabio speaks none. Antonia was able to direct us to some nearby vineyards for tours by drawing a map. As it would be if staying in someone’s home, the children spent their out of school time...

Antonia and Fabio are a terrific team who own this intimate hotel. Antonia works the mornings and Fabio runs things in the evening. They take unbelievable pride in their hotel and it shows! Our room was immaculate and had a huge bathroom with both tub & shower. We spent three weeknights here in late February and Montefalco was pretty much...

We stayed just one night in Montefalco, and were glad that we spent it at the Oro Rosso. It is a small, cozy hotel and the owner Antonina is very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast provided was delicious. The rooftop terrace was enticing - I wish the weather had been better so that...

This is the second time we have stayed at Oro Rosso and Antonia and Fabio make the stay fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and the location cannot be beat. Antonia is there in the morning to make sure your breakfast is taken care of and Fabio will be there in the evening to help with wine selection with your dinner....

My wife and I stayed here in May of 2014. A tremendous rain storm blew in just as we arrived in town so we stayed in and enjoyed a great meal in their restaurant. Everyone was very nice and our room was nice.

Very nice and cosy small hotel inside the town walls. The owners were friendly and the reception and service was impeccable. The rooms were nicely decorated. We stayed only one night as we walked the St Francis road from Assisi to Rieti. We can warmely recommend the Oro Rosso hotel.

Went specifically for the wine of Montefalco, which was superb. Never expected too much for the town and hotel. After the stay I'm not sure which was better. All in all everthing was great. The rooms, food, hosts, company, wine and off course the breakast! What a breakfast!! Yum Yum. Best thing is you can get the wine for the...

Don't look any further for the perfect hotel and Umbrian town. Amazingly friendly, clean, convenient, strong wifi, delicious breakfast (with Lavazza)..genuine. Montefalco is the most worthwhile town of Umbria with world-class wines, cheeses and dining without being pretentious.
