We had a wonderful 3 nights at Hotel La Tabaccaia. We received very friendly and helpful service, the rooms were lovely and extremely clean, the breakfast was plentiful with good coffee and the swimming pool area was great. The morning we spent at the driving range on the golf course was good fun and if we had, had more time...

Very nice 4 star hotel. Friendly staff, nice accommodations, excellent breakfast. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, La Tabaccaia and the Castelfalfi resort provide an excellent home base for exploring the Tuscan hills. Easy going surroundings. Visited in September 2015.

The hotel is adjacent to the impressively rebuilt fortified village. Built in the shell of a tobacco factory the hotel is beautifully clad in natural materials and colours. The public areas are spacious. Lovely lounge areas. The bedrooms are big enough and have balconies ingeniously cut into the sloping roof.

We brought our baby--he slept in the baby pack n play. When we woke in the morning, he was covered in ants crawling all over the pack n play and floor. We looked more carefully all over the room and there were ants in our bed, in the bathroom, etc. We reported it to the front desk but their response...

Visit for 3 nights from Wed to Sat and found every part of the service 1st class. Staff were excellent and knowledgable, services were top draw, rooms were high quality and location was typically Tuscan. Whilst all staff were excellent the lady in the breakfast room was keen to ensure your morning requirements were met especially the Cappuccino.

The hotel is in a lovely location, and the course is fabulous. The rooms are smaller than I would have expected, but we were in the standard rooms and didn't see any of the more expensive rooms. There is a pizza restaurant next door, and some good restaurants about 10 minutes by car away. 8 of us went for a...

We were there for a golf trip. There is a 27 hole course within the hotel called Castelfalfi. 18 hole moutain course and a 9 hole Lake course. They also have scoccer golf which is a must try. They used stylish Mercedes 7 passengers van as shuttle. All staff there are very helpful. Special thanks to our shuttle driver which...

Stopped at this Hotel while heading back from deep Tuscan to Florence Airport, it’s about an Hour drive from the Airport, making it an ideal last couple of nights stop. Situated in a new (old) building on the outskirts of a rebuilt old town (Castelfalfi), it’s a very interesting place to visit, everything is brand new (but old), very impressive...

Once a tobacco factory, today La Tabaccaia is an hotel de charme in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Most of the 31 enchanting rooms have a Tuscan design and are characterized by completely restored olive-hardwood floor, oak-beamed ceilings, and old bricks darkened by the time passing by. The rigorous and careful restoration of the hotel La Tabaccaia enhances the charm and elegance of an old-fashioned building. The furniture is comfortable and its decor is simple but particularly stylish. Rooms and suite have wi-fi connection, satellite TV set with LCD screen, air conditioning and bathroom in travertine marble with rainshower. The hotel La Tabaccaia is an amazing framework for small working groups. Its position allows guests to be less than an hour far from Pisa and Florence, the ideal starting point to discover the charme of Chiantishire and of Tuscany. ... more   less
