It is hard to say what we are, impossible to classify us with standards. FOLLONICO is not a 5 star hotel, but a place to enjoy a 5 star experience of Tuscany. It is OUR HOME and we hope it will be YOUR HOME in Tuscany for the time being of your staying, for all four seasons. Only 6 rooms, 4 suites and 2 standard. Tailor made services, all our experience at the disposal of a few. Those few that love to travel in a different way.

We had the pleasure of getting married at Follonico in July 2023. It was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish; Fabio and Suzanne have really made Follonico into a Tuscan paradise. Our guests loved it and haven't stopped talking about it since! We stayed with our family for 3 nights and could have stayed for much longer. Highlights about the venue included: - Fantastic home made breakfast every morning with local ingredients; - Very comfortable, quirky, chic rooms with views over the idyllic Tuscan countryside; - Fabio and Suzanne were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the get-go; - Wine made from grapes grown in Follonico's own vineyard next to the venue; - The pool area was very peaceful and had beautiful views over to Montepulciano and Montefollonico; - Animals that were at the venue, giving a very homey feel. Most of all, it was an absolutely privilege to get married in such a beautiful venue and location. We had been to Tuscany a few times before, but this was the best place we have stayed. We really could not have asked for any more. Stop reading and just book!

"An absolute gem in Tuscany, Follonico is more than just a hotel—it's an experience that lingers in your memory. Suzanne and Fabio, the heart and soul of this retreat, exude a warmth that extends beyond hospitality, making you feel like cherished guests in their home. Fabio's culinary artistry is nothing short of magical, while their endearing dogs, Amos and Charlie, add a touch of family comfort to the stay. The pool offers breathtaking views, a perfect backdrop to unwind and soak in the beauty of Tuscany. The thoughtfully placed hot tub is a heavenly indulgence, especially as the sun sets, offering an exquisite view of the Tuscan nightscape. Jennifer, an incredibly helpful staff member, adds an extra layer of care to this already exceptional experience. The communal meal setting encourages delightful interactions with fellow guests, creating a unique bond and sharing wonderful stories. The recommendations from the hosts are spot on, and the overall vibe of Follonico is simply extraordinary—a haven that encapsulates the true essence of Tuscany and hospitality at its finest."

A rare find! Best if I just share my note to our hosts. I am a hotel owner and was on vacation with my wife. If you want a natural, authentic experience in Tuscany then this is the one. Hi Fabio and Sue, We just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for hosting our stay. We found the lodging, the interactions with you, your animals and the whole property to be very inviting and authentic. The environment that you have created is very relaxed and the food was fantastic. We appreciate the energy and passion that you put into your business and thank you for sharing that with us. We hope to stay again one day with you and wish you both love, happiness and good health.

Fabio & Suzanne have poured their hearts into this slice of Tuscan paradise and we enjoyed every second. We stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed for at least 3 more. The rooms are super comfortable with plenty of room and the food served daily for breakfast is all homemade (including the bread!) and made with their own produce from the garden or sourced from a neighbor. A few nights a week, they also offer a 4 course meal in the dining room, also prepared from their own garden, all vegetarian, along with their own wine from their vineyard and it was some of the best meals we had in our 2 week trip throughout Italy. Once you book your stay, Fabio sends over the most detailed ebook with different itinerary recommendations and routes for traveling nearby in Tuscany. As a type A planner, this was a dream and we used it exclusively to plan our days in the area. All of the recommendations for meals and wineries were incredible and this made our planning in Tuscany so simple. We travel all over the world and rarely will return to the same places as there is so much to see, but we will absolutely return to Follonico some day! Hopefully with my parents as well to share in the experience.

We loved our stay at Follonico and would definitely return. The hotel itself is wonderful - quirky but chic - and the grounds are really beautiful (with the most incredible views from the pool over to Montepulciano). Fabio and his family were incredibly welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home instantly. And their food was exceptional - really tasty breakfasts with local (some homegrown) ingredients, which were different every day and far more interesting than the spread most hotels serve. A slightly bumpy drive up to the hotel on a gravel road, but very much worth it. We enjoyed doing day trips to Montepulciano, Pienza and San Quirico too.

My husband, 18-month old son, and I recently returned from a 2 week trip in Italy. We spent our first 5 nights at Follonico and it was the perfect way to acclimate into Italy. Fabio went out of his way to make our family feel at home and always made sure our little bambino was well fed. We stayed in the Alba Chiara room which worked really well for our family. We didn't have to worry about stairs and had a sitting room to use in the evenings after our son went to bed. Our son loved all the animals on the property, especially the little dog, Charlie. Fabio not only prepared dinner for us two nights but also advised us on our daily activities. It is truly a great spot that is more than accommodating for children.

B&B in a gorgeous setting, with good breakfasts (including eggs if requested), spacious rooms, gorgeous grounds and a pool (in warm months) with stunning views. It is more rustic-luxe than luxury but our room (the Blue Notte suite) was very roomy, with vaulted ceilings, a double-vanity bathroom and a wood burning fireplace (that we didn't have cause to use). There are animals on the grounds - dogs, geese, chickens, bunny rabbit, a horse, a mule and sheep - and in our case a pigeon that decided to roost over our door (that was a small issue for us but at least they cleaned the poop outside our door daily!). One small issue we had is that the hot water would run out in the afternoons sometimes - so if we wanted to shower after time at the pool it would be a cold shower. All in all a lovely stay.

The room we stayed in (Rosso Tramonto) was beautiful and light. Excellent bed and sheets. The breakfasts were unbelievable - fresh and varied. The views from the property are just stunning. The garden beautiful. The animals (particularly the geese) are great. The hosts, Fabio and Suzanne, are so helpful and attentive. This is honestly my favourite place I have ever stayed and I will be back. Lovely place to relax and see beautiful Tuscany.
