Traveled as a couple, stayed 3 nights in Montepulciano suite. Absolutely gorgeous farmhouse-style small hotel. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Flowers/greenery and breathtaking Tuscan views everywhere you look. Hotel is composed of a main house with a beautiful communal area, surrounded by several smaller buildings containing the various suites. Communal area is a dining room with an open kitchen...

We love Tuscany and booked to go here for our honeymoon on the basis that it's a gorgeous location, the website makes it look perfect and away from civilisation. It is indeed a beautiful location and shows a huge amount of promise when you arrive but then lets itself down in some frustrating ways that make it far from the...

Dear Rebecca and James, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We had you with us for 4 nights, and unfortunately during most of your stay the weather was quite bad, with a lot of rain - not the typical Tuscan sunshine one would expect. During those 4 days, we and all of our...

One of the best stays we have had so far (And we travel frequently). Lupaia offers a beautiful panoramic view of Montepulciano and the valley as well as a luxurious yet an amazing countryside feel. The rooms are beautiful, each unique. We got to try 2 of them, one had a Turkish bath which was awesome. The second room was...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and teenage son. We had the Alma room which worked out well for giving my son a small amount of privacy with the half height wall. The view is absolutely breathtaking and has to be seen, smelt and heard to be believed. The staff are friendly and helpful with many suggestions...

Dear Thomas F, Many thanks for your review and your suggestions for improvement. Lupaia is indeed 2.5 km off the main road, which makes for the feeling of splendid isolation, close to nature, yet with all the comforts of modern day life. We found Lupaia through a friend's recommendation and booked directly by telephone. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is not perfectly easy to find.
