Let me start by saying that I started out a little skeptical given the reviews I had read... here's nothing true! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the very kind girls at the reception who accompanied us to the room and explained all the spaces of the hotel. The room was very large, with simple furnishings and clean with excellent sleep quality. Breakfast with varied buffet of bread, fresh fruit, jams, dried fruit, juices, yogurt and savory foods such as cold cuts or cheeses, hot drinks served at the table. Possibility to have eggs, omelettes and crepes. The small lunch from 12.30pm to 2pm includes a choice between two dishes, with the possibility of taking both, but with smaller portions. I would recommend adding at least a buffet with vegetables and some starters (cold cuts/cheeses/legumes/mixed salads). From 3pm to 4.30pm a snack with cakes is served. Dinner from 7pm includes a menu from which you can choose 6 courses, the food is of excellent quality, divinely cooked and the portions are small so you can finish everything without leftovers. Buffet of cheese and bread only. I found the price of water with meals ridiculous, €5.50 per bottle, which could be provided for free by charging for wines and other drinks. The spa is large, well-stocked, with three very characteristic relaxation rooms, the presence of a herbal tea and fruit corner and obligatory nudity. A panoramic sauna is dedicated to events such as steam baths with the legendary Alan who follows all the daytime appointments dedicated to both wellbeing and fitness. A separate lounge includes the indoor and outdoor pool with castle views and loungers. All the staff are very kind, helpful and attentive to the needs of the guests, also very knowledgeable about intolerances (personally gluten-free with modified gluten-free pasta, bread, breadsticks and dinner courses). A note of thanks to Stella who pampered me throughout the holiday, making me find hot bread and helping me with the entire meal. Presence of two gyms, one with cardio equipment and one dedicated to crossfit with various routes. Free outdoor parking.
I highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday, with good food and wonderful moments in the spa. Convenient location for reaching Merano and Bolzano.
We will be back!

We stayed as a family between Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023.
What to say? All perfect.
We had a very large suite, simply furnished, without a view but still very comfortable.
The swimming pool is extraordinary: we have been to other facilities of this type in Alto-Adige, but we have never found such a large, well-kept indoor and outdoor pool with very pleasant hot water and an incomparable view of the castle of Foiana.
Another plus: despite the high season, we always found extreme tranquility in the pool and sunbeds available for everyone.
The wellness center offers various spa solutions: sauna, Turkish bath, beauty treatments and much more. We had a full body massage with a kind and very professional therapist: chapeau!
It didn't end here. The real flagship of this hotel is a superlative cuisine resulting from zero kilometer raw materials and mastery in preparation; applause to the sommelier Milan, friendly, passionate and extremely knowledgeable. Very efficient table service.
Go without hesitation!

The wellness hotel in South Tyrol is absolutely amazing! The location is breathtakingly beautiful and offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The food is delicious, the portions are small but very sufficient and the service is extremely courteous and friendly. If you stay here, I strongly recommend choosing a room in the new building. It is modernly furnished, minus is weird soap that you can apparently also use as shampoo 🙄,🤣. But overall my stay here was a wonderful experience.

I wrote about after a week to mitigate the disappointment mixed with anger for the negative experience at the facility where I will never return so I advised against it to friends who asked me for directions
the good points were just extremely good and sought after dinner so a round of applause to the chef,
polite spa and waiting staff
Now I'm going to list the things that I just didn't like
1) barbed water probably from the tap and then carbonated each bottle 5 euro and 50 cents ) ( I would have understood this figure if Perrier had been served )
2) lacks courtesy kits as well as shampoo and shower gel replaced with tiny and uncomfortable mini angular soaps (all in the name of a phantom green project )
3) no mini-bar , kettle then in the room only a carafe of water with a wide mouth closed with a wooden ball as a cap (wood is prohibited for hygienic reasons in the food industry)
4) excessively hot room at night with no possibility to adjust the heating (and here the green doc project is over?) me and the partner had to sleep with half-open windows so as not to "choke"
5) disappointing breakfast poor choice of sweets only one type of brioche and no cakes
6) warm infinity pool almost cold so not pleasant
7 and last but not least the thing that bothered me most of all the treatment @bath in beer "a real grab for the bottoms that is a bottle of beer from o.33 cc poured into a bathtub for the modest amount of 77 euros .. to my complaints has never revealed the director to apologize or at least give his explanations
ps in the traditional TV room not smart!

I was a guest for three days in the new wing of the hotel (everyone defines it as new, however I had already been there 11 years ago and it was already there) while previously I had stayed in the old wing. The rooms are nice, but a little cold from a furnishing point of view. The lack (by choice of the hotel) of courtesy sets replaced by natural soaps makes everything very similar to certain hotel chains that only offer breakfast and overnight stay. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the sustainability philosophy, which is highly agreeable, because the sustainability report was only in German; so from what I perceived (moreover the herbal teas were wrapped in plastic sachets which I don't know if they were recyclable) it seemed to me just a cost-saving choice, like the choice not to illuminate the tunnel to go to the new part: the light turns on only when going down and returning to the rooms do you need to turn on your cell phone's flashlight.
Overall I can't say I was bad.
The positive notes are undoubtedly the dining room staff, the position and the view from my room (but I remember the other time I was looking at the car park) and the wellness area, enriched compared to the last time with an event sauna (now the choice of saunas and Turkish baths is complete), a further relaxation area (even if it is always difficult to find a place) and the infinity pool (with water a little too cold).
However, I noticed, and so did my wife, many details which, in my opinion, make a negative difference in a 4S structure that is part of the Belvita circuit.
Upon arrival (with check in done in advance from home) I was not offered any welcome drink (it is not written anywhere that it must be done, but in all the other Belvita facilities I have been to they do it), no I'm asked if I need to take my luggage to my room and I'm asked if I want to be accompanied to my room?
Ok the philosophy of natural soaps and nothing else (neither toiletries nor writing paper), but I didn't even have those for the shower and shampoo and I had to ask for them.
Nice Aufgussmeister but the first time he doesn't ask if there are Italian speaking guests and a guest has to ask him specifically.
Lunch as offered is not useful to those who, like us, generally spend the day away from the facility, returning mid-afternoon. We would like, in addition to the slice of cake offered, to be able to eat something else: I am also against food waste, but I would have appreciated some cured meats, salads or other products, even cold ones.
And finally upon returning the keys, not even a "good trip", "goodbye".
As already mentioned, at these levels and prices it is the details that make the difference

The hotel is located in Lana and offers a beautiful view of an old castle. The room was on average large but furnished in a slightly too spartan style for my taste. Surely I didn’t like the bathroom door being glass, depriving the guest of intimacy when showering. They do not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo or conditioner, nor even a foam bath. The latter are in fact all included in a bar of soap, and it was useless to object that for those with long hair the same is very uncomfortable. The small lunch included in the rate consists of 1 single dish; there is no buffet. The buffet is also missing for dinner, both for appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. When I asked why it was not there, I was told that after Covid it was eliminated. The breakfast is very varied and offers both sweet and savory. The staff is friendly but, perhaps because we were in the off-season, undersized.
Very very nice massages and the same applies to the beautiful SPA.
So, the super SPA, not a 4-star superior welcome; the same hotel but at two different speeds.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of April, the view is beautiful, the girl at the reception was very nice and helpful. The room was certainly very clean but the bathroom was a bit dated and the room overlooked the car park, with what we paid I thought it would have a better view. The midday menu is a bit poor with only two options: dumplings or duck breast in proportion to the room prices it offers very little, the dinner however is exquisite from starter to dessert compliments to the chef. The only flaw is 5 euros for a bottle of water. For how much it concerns the beautiful, very clean spa area, the only flaw is the temperature of the water, the infinity pool is outside but we couldn't enjoy it much because it was really cold and as there wasn't good weather it was a real shame with a few more degrees it would have been perfect. Let's say they were good, given the stars of the hotel and the prices we expected something better.

This was already my second stay at Waldhof2 and again I enjoyed it to the fullest. What I particularly appreciate about this hotel is the relaxed atmosphere combined with great service, fantastic food and wonderful views. The staff are always friendly, helpful and very personal to each guest. Already on the second day, the breakfast team knows which drinks I prefer for breakfast. The sommelier Milan knows the preferences of its guests in no time and provides detailed advice on request. With each wine he has an informative and often entertaining story to tell. The food is not only artistically staged, but also always a real treat. For me the icing on the cake were the desserts of Martin the Patissier - so inventive, interesting and delicious - easy to melt away. The service is very professional and always available for a short personal conversation. The sauna area is spacious, bright and welcoming. The event infusions with music and light show a real experience. The active program is recommended. Especially the mindfulness hike with Alan I really liked and did. Luc's massages are very professional and soothing. During my first stay I stayed in the main house where the rooms are nicely renovated, only the bathroom was quite small and rather unfashionable. Now I lived in the new building and the room was stunning. Very spacious, modern, a fantastic bathroom and the highlight was the large balcony. I enjoyed my first stay as a solo traveler. Hotel stays as solo travelers are not always all around nice. But the Waldhof2 I can only recommend to anyone.
For me it is already clear that I will be back next year, because for me a stay at Waldhof2 is pure relaxation.

We have visited this Resort many times. This summer the bar has risen again, thanks to the return of the historic chef who has further increased the level of the menu.
The facilities are as always excellent, the sauna area remains the flagship, along with the infinity pool.
This year we also enjoyed the evenings with the intimate concert in the garden and the DJ with his music selection. These new ideas should be further developed in the future.
Rooms always clean and reception efficient.
Finally, we can only congratulate the maitre-sommelier Milan, able to manage the room and give the right advice for the wines. As always.

We stayed in the old building in the Panorama Suite. Nice big room, shared, with a nice view of the castle and the valley between Merano and Bolzano.
Room service was very good, even if we only used it every 2 days. The other services are also really good.
The management attaches great importance to natural products and sustainability, which we liked. Of course it's difficult when you have to heat a large wellness area ;-)
The food almost always consisted of 6 courses, 8 on New Year's Eve. Very tasty portions that leave you feeling good at the end without making you feel too FULL. -> Praise to the kitchen!
The sommelier was also great and gave good advice! Apart from one small thing, the bill and division between 2 parties was perfect.
The fitness room is well equipped and was completely sufficient for me (MATRIX products). The second fitness room is also top and offers enough options for anyone who just wants to work with their body. The wellness area is very nice and newly designed. The 80-minute massage - a dream!
The New Year's Eve party was also really good and a lot of fun. The theme was James Bond 007. It was very funny.
There were also chestnuts and mulled gin on the terrace.
