Across the street from a museum and within walking distance of great shopping, this b&b has a great location. However, I was not impressed with the hostess. Over breakfast, my wife and I had an enjoyable conversation with a couple from another part of the country. They commented how it was strange to them how southerners teach their kids to say “mam” and “sir”. The hostess entered and added “that will get you nowhere in the corporate world.” That night we had a windy rain storm. I retrieved the patio umbrella and put it back in place. When I explained why it was cranked down (to prevent wind from getting under it again), I did not get a “thank you.” Someone could use a dose of good old southern manners! Regardless of the great location, I won’t be back.

We were there just one night while visiting VMFA. Great experience for my family. Our rooms were lovely, beds, pillows, and sheets were very comfortable, and we slept very well. We were on a schedule and Melinda was great with having a delicious, varied, and hot breakfast ready for us before we had to leave.

I wish we weren't just passing through, as we were. We had a nice time with Anna...she was an extremely wonderful host. She knew we had to sneak off in the wee hours of morning, so she made us up some yogurt and granola for our breakfast. It was delicious! We were able to get a few hours outside in the town, but we weren't able to see any museums, like I had originally planned. Time was too tight and we had to move on. Someday, we will make our way back and will stay here again!

Fantastic location, beautifully clean and well maintained property and very safe area within walking distance (three blocks - 5 mins) to number of bars and restaurants. Great host too and for the last 7 years we've really loved southern style B&B with cheese and wine meet and greets which are great fun. Wonderful stay!

Had a fantastic time at the Museum District B&B. The location is perfect right across the street from the VMFA and a very short walk to Monument Blvd. Anna is the perfect hostess, wine and cheese lasted well into the evening on several occasions. Great room , super breakfast, highly recommend this place.
