From the moment we entered the front door, enchantment! Mitch and Roni as superb hosts. The shared public rooms and the guest rooms are gorgeously appointed to the smallest, thoughtful detail. We even found ear plugs on our dresser in an antique leather box! Every breakfast was divine with exceptionally innovative egg dishes and the smartest toaster we ever encountered. Fantastic location. Will stay again!

My husband and I stayed at The Boulevard Inn for a quick summer getaway, and we had such a delightful time with the Inn staff and guests that we didn’t see much of Richmond (perhaps we’ll venture out more during our next visit 😊). The inn has all the lovely charm of a colonial revival townhouse with its stained glass, carved columns, and classical molding as well as modern touches such as smart TVs and in-room espresso makers.

Most notably, Mitch, Ronnie, and Jeffrey provided exceptional customer service throughout our stay. They put out a sumptuous spread for breakfast and happy hour regardless of whether one person shows up or 20 people. Upon departure, we were given an awesome farewell gift – a colorful artistic depiction of the inn.

We enjoyed the following:

+Tasty breakfast and happy hour options (fresh fruit, quiche/frittata, croissant casserole, quality cheese and wines)
+Free parking
+The Boulevard Suite – comfortable bed, natural light and vaulted ceiling, spacious private balcony (for reading/journaling and morning coffee), cozy bathrobes, wide range of cable channels, and a gorgeous bathroom with a sizable shower and clawfoot tub
+Restaurants such as Bamboo Café, Social 52 Kitchen, and East Coast Provisions
+Excellent location (Inside the inn is relatively quiet although anticipate some level of street noise, especially during peak hours.)

We stayed with another couple, (good friends )at the Boulevard Inn-in Richmond
We had side by side rooms that shared a balcony .
The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated beds very comfortable
We had a wonderful experience.
The inn is beautiful, decorated nicely and very clean. The service was impeccable from the owners, Mitch & Roni! Who were very welcoming and helpful in every detail of our stay! The breakfast buffet was top-notch!
Jeffrey made our stay even better if possible, with the wonderful afternoon, charcuterie tray and serving us great wines
We enjoyed our conversations with him. He was extremely helpful with suggestions reservations, very attentive.
So far the very best B&B we have visited!!

The Boulevard Inn is lovely and very well maintained. You will be pampered, treated well, be nicely fed and hydrated. Their bathrobes feel amazing.

Jeffrey is great and has incredible thoughtfulness and anticipation of your needs. He’s a gem. He, Rose and Rachel were great.

They offer a lovely wine and cheese event 5-6 pm each evening. It’s fun to meet the others at the Inn.

They have a Jura coffee machine along with hot tea, water and hot chocolate 24 hours a day. They also have Lindt chocolates. You can become very spoiled.

3 tiny pet peeves:
1) if we have a parking space and parking pass for our car, if someone in the Airbnb next door parks in 1 of the Inn’s spots so we are inconvenienced and have to search for a Saturday nice parking spot in the cold, should there not be some remedy. For example, there could be minor charge to the Airbnb renter as a deterrent and a modest credit to us who were inconvenienced. If not, what’s the point of the parking pass?
2) please serve real cream or milk versus coffeemate which is fake. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen this. It’s like serving tang instead of fresh juice.
3) if you offer breakfast at a certain time, it should be ready to eat. We had an appointment and could not wait 30 minutes for the food.

Overall, it was great and it could be even better.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at The Boulevard Inn when visiting my sister in Richmond. Glowing reviews on Trip Advisor led to my booking our reservation and we were not disappointed. Owners Roni and Mitch mingled with guests during breakfast and the pastries, yogurt, fruit, and frittatas that they offered us were all exceptionally fresh and delicious. Jeffrey was our personable host during happy hour serving several wine options and charcuterie and assisting with dinner reservations and ideas on activities in the area. The inn itself is beautiful and our room, The Boulevard Suite, has a huge outside balcony with comfortable seating and the largest bathroom we have had at any location other than our home. The location is excellent, walking distance to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and an easy drive to Maymont Park, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, and the many downtown attractions. We have already booked another stay for October. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a delightful stay at The Boulevard Inn with my mother, and I can't say enough wonderful things about this chic property! The location is absolutely perfect, allowing us to easily explore Richmond's vibrant neighborhoods and attractions.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional service. Jeffrey at the front desk went above and beyond, sharing his extensive knowledge of the area and providing invaluable recommendations that really enhanced our visit. The owner, Mitch, brings a personal touch that you rarely find in hotels these days – his warmth and attention to detail make guests feel truly welcomed.
The inn itself exudes charm with its stylish decor and intimate atmosphere. Every aspect of our stay felt thoughtfully curated, from the tasteful furnishings to the personalized service.
If you're looking for a boutique hotel experience that combines the perfect location with genuine hospitality, The Boulevard Inn is an absolute gem. It's ideal for anyone wanting to experience Richmond like a local while enjoying the comforts of a chic, well-managed property.

The Boulevard Inn is the definition of "refined", though nothing about this grand old Southern home built in 1914 is fussy or pretentious. It's been meticulously restored, down to the stained glass windows, and every room tastefully decorated. The hosts are attentive, but never hover, the overall vibe welcoming. Fluffy towels, comfy bed, delicious & plentiful breakfast spread, and a happy hour every night at 5 with excellent wines and a generous appetizer tray. The location couldn't be better---two blocks from Carrytown & three to the excellent Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. We booked here to celebrate a milestone birthday but you don't need a special reason to enjoy this beautiful spot right on one of Richmond's prominent streets.

We stayed at the Boulevard Inn on our way from Georgia to New Hampshire by car, and enjoyed it so much that we booked another stay for our return trip two weeks later. The Inn itself is gorgeous: immaculately preserved and updated with all the modern comforts but with respect for its original design and period. Our hosts could not have been nicer or more friendly; they were just lovely, and we really enjoyed chatting with them. They were able to recommend a great local restaurant just a few blocks away and they called over to make sure we could get a table that night. The inn has its own small parking lot in the back, but we were also able to find a spot on the street right in front. We loved the neighborhood; a combination of historic luxe, and funky/artsy.

The room we stayed in has a magnificent bathroom with a huge soaking tub; everything was sparkling clean and so comfortable. We have stayed at many inns, B&Bs and hotels; and the Boulevard Inn was truly one of the best we've ever experienced. Can't wait to go back!

Our stay couldn't have been more perfect!

The Boulevard Inn is located in the fan district and walking distance to Cary Town with unique shops and great restaurants. The bed and breakfast was renovated by the new owners in 2020 and the outcome is stunning. The building dates back to 1914 and they preserved the history while bringing in all of the conveniences of today.

Our suite was open and luxurious, the owners spared no expense when furnishing the rooms with all of the amenities you need and more. I have never had such a good night sleep away from home.

Mitch and Roni, the proprietors, make you feel like you are visiting friends and attend to your every need. Our first night at the Inn we sat at happy hour and enjoyed great food and wine while learning about the history of the Inn from the two of them and then went to a great restaurant for dinner, thanks to their recommendation.

Breakfast was delicious with gourmet options and specialized coffee from their gourmet coffee machine that makes everything from espresso to lattes!

When we have the opportunity to go back to Richmond this will be the place we stay!!

We were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful B&B during their one-year anniversary! This was our third visit, and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when we are in Richmond. Everyone on staff is friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like part of the family. All the rooms are clean and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail in this house is unusual and striking. Everything is thoughtfully designed for the comfort of their guests. The evening Happy Hour platter is a work of art and Virginia wines are featured. Breakfast includes pastries, granola, fruit, yogurt, toast and delicious jams as well as a hot entree. Mitch makes the best baked eggs we ever tasted! Thank you Mitch, Roni, Jeffrey and Rose for sharing the Boulevard Inn with us. We look forward to many more visits in the future.
