Elena was our front desk attendant and she was wonderful. She was kind and sweet and very inviting. We were checking in when a whole bunch of kids for a soccer tournament was in town. It was a bit chaotic, but she still welcomed us in as if we were important people! That says a lot! Our room was comfortable and easy to find, We didn't stay long enough to actually enjoy the hotel, but it was a good night sleep after deep cleaning my daughters short pump apartment as she was moving into another place in downtown Richmond. We came back after working hard to a comfortable and clean room. Check out was easy and we loved how close the hotel location was to all the shops and restaurants in the area without being on top of the business of the area.
We needed an overnight place to sleep during our long car journey from the south (I-95) and wanted a high-quality hotel for that. As Hilton Honors members, we chose this hotel. It is excellent with very comfortable rooms. Spotless. One of the very nice things is that this hotel is located next to the huge, upscale Short Pump shopping center with numerous quality dining choices and many stores, should you wish to shop. Most of the restaurants are within walking distance or a 5 minute car ride. This hotel could not have been better for our needs. We would stay there again.
Location was great. So much happening in the surrounding area. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The hot water was not working for one night during our stay which was disappointing, but the staff was accommodating and offered us a credit.
My family stayed here for a family event. We had three rooms for two nights. The rooms were very clean and appeared to have just been redone. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a nice size for a standard room. The front desk was very helpful, polite, and very accommodating. The food at the restaurant was good and they have a bar in a separate area. It is located in a great area with restaurants and shops within walking distance.
There is always polite service from the staff. There is always a clean lobby and rooms are immaculate. It is still challenging to get services but manageable with prior planning. We will return again.
I’m not a fan of leaving bad reviews but this time it’s warranted. The carpets in the bedrooms smell like they’ve been shampooed and never dried out. I moved rooms once to escape the smell only to discover it’s a feature of every room. Multiple colleagues confirmed their rooms suffered the same. The shower was Luke warm, the reception staff were cold. It’s a shame because I was a fan of Hilton but this place has made me lose faith. On the positive side of things, if you enjoyed the 1980s this is your place!
Booked this for our 10th anniversary. Paid £333 for 2 nights. Not as advertised. Pokey room with massive protruding ceiling joist which took up 3rd of head space and made it almost impossible to get out of bed in the night. Cheap ‘mind your head’ sign glued on it. Decor was shoddy 70s retro, lighting wiring was confusing at best meaning we couldn’t switch off massive headboard lights. Quirky rest of hotel which is beautiful but needs redecoration and care. Feel very let down as website and other reviews were fine.
This hotel was a great stop over spot on our way to the beach. We paid $173 for one night. Very nice hotel. Close to restaurants. Clean. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Easy on and off the Interstate. We will use it again.
The Breakfast @ this location should be free. There is no reason a limited breakfast should cost additional $15/person when the lesser hotels has the same spread for free. Dont eat pork? Too bad pay $5 for turkey sausage that should be apart of the spread. Do better Hilton! We spending allot of money to stay here.
I live in a hotel each week. I was excited to try this one and was greatly disappointed. Some things to know: Elevator smelled like urine. 8th floor hallway seems to have broken AC. Executive Louge closed and will not be re-opening. They ask you when you check in if you want spa services; however, the spa is also closed. You have to text a private cell phone if you want nails done. The AC in the room was set on 60 and the thermostat still never got below 74. The carpet in room 817 was nasty. Starbucks is scheduled to open at 7am. You're lucky if they open by 7:30am. There is a gentleman at the front desk with a very feminine voice that is rude and on multiple occasions did not seem to care about my requests or frustrations. The same said employee checked me out on Thursday and gave me a receipt. On Friday, I received an email where I had indeed NOT been checked out and an additional night charged to my company card. I, nor my employees, will be utilizing this hotel in the future. The lobby gives the impression that you are staying in a high quality hotel. That is not the case. Have you heard the saying that you can't put lipstick on a pig? The lobby is the lipstick. But the overall hotel experience, will likely not meet your expectations for cleanliness, AC and customer service. You'll see plenty of employees standing around and talking, but I'm not sure what they are actually doing to address the needs of the customers.…
