Hotel's Favorite
Stayed at this hotel for the 1st time on 4/29 and I must say I wasn't expecting the hotel to be as luxurious as it is. I loved that the hotel has its own restaurant as well as restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance. The room was nice and clean I didn't get to get in the pool but my mom said the water was warm and the pool area was nice. Only dislike the hotel isn't pet friendly. The next time we visit short pump we will definitely make this our go to hotel.

I was impressed with check in - not sure if it was because I used Hilton points for reservation but I was given a nice welcome gift bag of cheese, crackers and sparking water. It is little details like that i appreciate and makes the hotel stay memorable. Hotel in convenient location, staff very nice and hotel room was as expected. Would recommend.

I have stayed at this property quite a few times and it's my "go to" in the RIchmond area. This was my first stay since COVID started and was glad to be back. The hotel wasn't crowded and check in was easy. My room was fine, perhaps showing a little wear in a few areas (carpet, shower grout).
The fitness center is open but requires a reservation. Front desk staff must give you access, which seems like a little much. The Executive Lounge remains closed. A complimentary breakfast for Hhonors members is available but it's not nearly the quality of what has been offered in the lounge.
My service issue was with housekeeping. The notice on the hotel web site states that daily service will be provided upon request. The same notice was posted on the mirror in the bathroom. The next morning, I called the desk and requested service. The clerk advised that I would be put on the list. When I returned to my room (about 5 pm), it had not been serviced. I called the desk and was told that they don't like to service rooms during short stays. When I protested, someone was sent to replace towels, empty trash, and make the bed. While I fully support a guests ability to "opt out" of housekeeping service, I expect a hotel to honor my request for the service. At this point, this really isn't a COVID issue, it's a customer service issue. I hope it will be corrected.

Thank you very much for taking the time to express your satisfaction from your recent stay with us. We're so pleased you enjoyed the customer care. The executive lounge based and the VHD guidelines on the size would only accommodate 8 people an we can serve a cooked to order breakfast for our guests to enjoy.Again, we are trying to provide our customary service level when we have new duties for cleaning and sanitizing.

We splurged on a Hilton for our final 2 nights of vacation, expecting much more than received. We were disappointed that the hotel does not offer housekeeping services to folks staying 2-3 nights. We had to request coffee pods and towels at the front desk to take up with us. The room was spacious and beautiful, even if the carpet was worn. We were disappointed when the shower water temperature fluctuated widely and frequently. Complimentary coffee and continental breakfast would've been appreciated, but we were informed that was not available when we checked in. We will be hesitant to stay in another Hilton in the future.

Worst of the Hilton properties I’ve been to. Rooms were dirty, staff non-existent, A/C doesn’t work properly, shower door doesn’t close causing bathroom floor to soak a lot, room service takes forever if they even decide to bring it to your room, and is severely over priced for what you’re getting. The day of check out they were ready for everybody to leave as they were on the foot with rooms waking everybody up at 9:30am without wake-up calls. Rooms and floors are filthy and need major renovation. The lobby does not reflect the rest of the hotel

Seems like this hotel is not only due for a remodel, but also doesn’t have the best housekeeping. Very few amenities are available with the excuse of Covid (spa and restaurants closed, reservations required for pool, coffee shop closed on a weekday morning) but have recently stayed at two other Hilton properties in Virginia that were great and had everything open with precautions.
I could live with that but the rooms really tired and just aren’t that clean. The sofa was sagging, mattress worn out, furniture scratched and dinged, mold in the shower, and the carpet was horribly stained and dirty. The toiletries were partially used and obviously left over from a prior guest and the sheets had a sandy feeling grit to them. I cancelled a reservation at a nearby Hampton Inn thinking this would be an upgrade and wish I hadn’t. Great location but if they want to list this location as an upscale, 4 star Hilton, they should look at improving housekeeping and make some repairs and upgrades.

My husband surprised me for Valentine’s Day with a stay at the Hilton Hotel and Spa. It was a much needed getaway that required him requesting leave (military) months ahead of time for him to be able to come visit. We were so excited for our mini vacation and had high hopes since we had stayed here years ago on our wedding night and created amazing memories. We had a 3 pm check in time, arrived on time and were told the room was still being cleaned and it would take a half hour. We understand that cleaning practices would take longer during the Coronavirus pandemic; and as a healthcare worker I absolutely appreciate the added effort. We went to a restaurant nearby, ordered food and brought it back hoping to enjoy it in our room. At 3:30 were told it would take another 30 minutes as the room was still being cleaned. We were a little annoyed at this point and asked if we could get another room. We were told that there were no other rooms available so we decided to just wait. We sat in the car and waited, even went and grabbed a coffee. At 4:15 my husband went to the lobby and checked on the room, hoping to get the room key so we could go settle in and eat our meal. Apparently the room was still not clean. We didn’t get a room until 4:45 and it was a different room than our original one, the new room did not have a bathtub. The whole situation was off putting and unnecessarily annoying and disappointing. We ended up deciding not to extend our stay here and left the following day. We were looking forward to a lovely stay like last time and to create more beautiful memories. I had hopes of including this hotel into our future anniversary plans and other little getaways but after this experience I do not think we will be back. For the price we paid we were expecting to at least have our room on time or a later check in time. Again, so very disappointing. Do yourself a favor and look at other hotels that will honor their check in time and not have you waiting for almost 2 hours.

I’m not a fan of leaving bad reviews but this time it’s warranted. The carpets in the bedrooms smell like they’ve been shampooed and never dried out. I moved rooms once to escape the smell only to discover it’s a feature of every room. Multiple colleagues confirmed their rooms suffered the same. The shower was Luke warm, the reception staff were cold. It’s a shame because I was a fan of Hilton but this place has made me lose faith. On the positive side of things, if you enjoyed the 1980s this is your place!

First of all a huge than you to the employees and management of this hotel!! You have done a great job at keeping this hotel spotless and a place to feel comfortable when traveling during COVID. I have stayed her twice in the last 6 weeks with my daughter for soccer and both times management gave me rooms that were vacant for 3-4 days before my stay. The restaurant is great and a place I felt safe sitting and eating in during the pandemic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you Hilton for going above and beyond for your customers and loyal rewards members.

I live in a hotel each week. I was excited to try this one and was greatly disappointed. Some things to know:
Elevator smelled like urine. 8th floor hallway seems to have broken AC. Executive Louge closed and will not be re-opening. They ask you when you check in if you want spa services; however, the spa is also closed. You have to text a private cell phone if you want nails done.
The AC in the room was set on 60 and the thermostat still never got below 74. The carpet in room 817 was nasty.
Starbucks is scheduled to open at 7am. You're lucky if they open by 7:30am.
There is a gentleman at the front desk with a very feminine voice that is rude and on multiple occasions did not seem to care about my requests or frustrations.
The same said employee checked me out on Thursday and gave me a receipt. On Friday, I received an email where I had indeed NOT been checked out and an additional night charged to my company card.
I, nor my employees, will be utilizing this hotel in the future. The lobby gives the impression that you are staying in a high quality hotel. That is not the case. Have you heard the saying that you can't put lipstick on a pig? The lobby is the lipstick. But the overall hotel experience, will likely not meet your expectations for cleanliness, AC and customer service. You'll see plenty of employees standing around and talking, but I'm not sure what they are actually doing to address the needs of the customers.

They had breakfast to take and go when I was there in September. I don't think there was sit-down breakfast because of covid, but I remember them having a coffee/tea section along with apples and boxed cereals.
So sorry the spa will be closed until the end of the year.
You can walk , it is less than a quarter mile
Btw. The bar area is very nice. Very enjoyable and the food is great. Relaxing. Very classy.
