We recently spent three nights at the inn and couldn't have been more happy! The innkeeper, Helena, was one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and her breakfasts were fantastic...completely made from scratch and delicious! She was so helpful in recommending museums, restaurants and interesting places to see while visiting Richmond. She has extensive knowledge of the city is...

We booked one night at the Inn at Patrick Henry's, in the Edgar Allen Poe suite, while traveling in the area. The inn is small, just 3 suites, above a restaurant on one side and a pub on the other. It made for an interesting space, as the breakfast room is used by the restaurant during the evening. The innkeeper...

We stayed in the EA Poe room, the very room in which the author/poet lived while in Richmond. An early 19th century home, Helena is the manager and eager to accomodate her guests in every way. The rooms are clean, well furnished, the beds are good, the sleep quiet; the breakfast excellent and made to order. House located in Richmond's...

Good place to sleep. Comfortable and historic house. Host was very knowledgeable about city, history, and places to see. Breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend staying here over downtown. Next door is a pub and grill that has a good burger and beer selection, perfect when you're tired from a day of sight seeing.

Loved this place and the neighborhood. The room (at the top of the house) was a bit warm at first because of the weather, but it cooled down at night. The hospitality was exceptional. Helena is fantastic and makes the best coffee. I will be back!

The hosts at the Inn were great. Both Helena and Joe could not have been more hospitable. They tried very hard to make you feel comfortable and provide information on places to go and the area. They served breakfast only on Saturday and Sunday morning as part of the daily rate, which I thought was strange for a B&B but...

The Inn offers quiet elegance central to Richmond's coolest historic neighborhood. Our room had a spacious and airy sitting room, and expansive king bed surrounded by windows. The wonderful inn keeper made our breakfast to order with scrumptious fresh cut local bacon. Since our day was heavily booked with activities, she also packed a to go bag for later snacks....
