This is a really good hotel. We had a spacious room which was well equipped and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The food at breakfast was good. However, on Saturday night we were kept awake by noise from a party (or parties) outside. We didn't get to sleep until almost 3 am. You have been warned.

Thank you so much for your review. With our central downtown location, we are within walking distance to many of the areas attractions. There are restaurants and bars in the area which can contribute to the outside noise. We do hope you will visit us again when you return to Richmond.

A charming boutique type of hotel in a great location in the historic Shockhoe district of the city, near lots of restaurants. But don't pass up the Berkely's own restaurant, they have a great chef and very nice wait staff. Had the best chef created frozen blueberry meringue pie on a cookie crust, still tasting it. Rooms are very roomy...

Quality ambiance and furnishings. King room was good size. Took the dinner package that included valet parking, roughly a $35 savings. Service was excellent and prompt. Price competitive with other downtown hotels and definitely not appearing like a chain hotel. The hotel itself is of modest size with check-in parking along the curb; could require double parking if many check-ins...

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am glad to hear you enjoyed our Stay and Dine Package. It's a nice way to taste some of our amazing food while staying with us; I have to say Chef's take on Shrimp and Grits is my new favorite! Please come back and stay with us when your travels bring...

We had a very enjoyable stay. The location is terrific and valet parking reasonably priced. The Berkeley is cloose to many good restaurants and some interesting shops. We felt safe in that part of Richmond and noticed a lot of new residential units in the neighborhood. We will stay there again.

We stayed at the Berkeley Hotel three years ago and definitely wanted to stay there again. It is a small, boutique hotel with each room being different and is in the perfect location for touring around Richmond....you can walk to almost all the major historical sites and then walk to dinner. East Cary Street is a cobblestone street with numerous...

I really wanted to like this hotel because I got a great rate on one of the terrace suites. We love the Tobacco Company Restaurant so we were very excited to have found such a great rate on a hotel literally across the street. I was really looking forward to staying here but ultimately it was a huge disappointment. The...

I am so sorry that you were less than satisfied with your visit. I would love the opportunity to speak with you directly. We are a 55 room boutique hotel and each room is different from the next. We are also in the process of upgrading many aspects of our rooms. I would love to invite you back to see...

The Berkeley Hotel is a favorite place to stay when visiting the Richmond area and has always provide great service. Unfortunately, this was not the case during this visit when we were awoken at 0800 by housekeeping knocking on doors to determine if they can begin cleaning and vacuuming the common areas outside of our room.

We've visited this hotel for several years and have always had a wonderful stay. If you are bothered by street noise, request a room in the back, but understand your view will be a brick wall. We just stayed on the 6th floor, but our window looked into another office building. It was ok for us because we just stayed...

The Berkeley offers you nothing less than a moment in time. This quaint little piece of history is like a home away from home. I was extremely delighted and I would, without a doubt, recommend them to any and everyone looking to experience peace and tranquility with the comfort of being at home. In one word, simply amazing.

Explore the many restaurants within a two block area. The hotel restaurant is good but so are many close by'. The Tabacco Warehouse is right across the street and is good. Also check out the Asian and Italian very close. Overall we liked the suite we had and felt it was reasonably priced and tasteful.
