I booked this hotel since it has been listed as 4 star. I arrived, checked-in smoothly and walked in to my DUSTY room. The room had not been cleaned well. There were a lot of dusts on the bed head, night stand, furnitures etc. I called the front desk to change my room and the answer was "we cannot change your room" WTH!!!! I asked them if they could do anything since I was a Platinium member and they said "NO". I asked them to clean my room first thing in the morning. They still did not remove the dust from my room the the following day. Horrible service. On another note, this property is run down. I am not sure why it is has been classified as a 4 start hotel. I will never ever stay in this hotel again. Horrible service.

I recently visited The Westin Richmond for drinks with my father. After having a great time with my father and having great service by our waiter, i paid for my order and I wanted to tell the manager about the excellent service and the manager Amanda was rude, harsh, just very work-place inappropriate and all around unprofessional about how she responded to my compliment. After this experience i have decided to not stay or dine at The Westin again as well as to let everyone that i know, know about my terrible experience! I am very sad to leave a bad review but I didn't pay $75 to eat and get handed an unprofessional Managers attitude! Very upset with my service will not be joining this establishment again!

Very disappointed in the level of service as a platinum Marriott member. Walker at front desk was arrogant and rude during check in. Room was on 2nd floor even though early check in online requested high floor. Note 2nd floor is pet floor. Walker insisted that unless you specifically request not to be on animal floor you can be assigned room there. Concierge lounge was the worst of any Marriott. Advertised offerings did not happen. Not sure what honor bar is when no beverages are available. Hostess was very pleasant but seemed overwhelmed. Beverages were not restocked and breakfast had limited offerings due to empty pans and platters. Ran out of waters. Was told there are no more in the building??? 1 Bagel for toast/bread option? Yes it was full capacity at hotel but seems like there should have been extra staff available. Walls are quite thin. I could hear conversation in room next door. At midnight! Restaurant was highlight. Bar and restaurant service is good and menu options are healthy, light and delicious. Doubt I would stay here again.

We spent last night( June 14) at the Westin Richmond and thoroughly enjoyed our one night stayover. We traveled to Richmond to see the State Baseball tournament, which was rained out so we spent a lot of time in our hotel, the Westin Richmond. The reviews were good going in via trip advisor and we they were justified and more. We were met at check in by Mathhew, who could not have nicer and more helpful. He aspires to be a General Manager and has all the personality and smarts to be just that. Thanks to him we were able to get in our room hours ahead of regular check in time. The property is very clean and the lobby area is very nice with a beautiful waterfall as a back drop. They have a heated pool with hot tub on the first floor with a fitness room adjacent with locker room. The hotel room was a typical Westin room with exceptional bedding and pillows ( that is why it is heavonly) Also, they have an awesome HD TV ( huge screen) the movies are way too expensive, so we watched the French Open. We had a late snack0dinner) at the Crossings, and it was excellent. My wife and I had drinks and a wedge salad, This morning we had breakfast there as well and I had the blueberry pancakes. They may have been the best I have ever had, fluffy and delicious. My wife had the Virginian, eggs, country ham, grits and biscuits. Highly recommend the restaurant and the hotel. If you are smart ask for Matthew when you check in at registration. He is the real deal!!!

The service was wonderful, especially Chris from Crossings restaurant in the hotel. He was very helpful and attentive to us and made our experience great! Also, the room is lovely and the beds are so comfortable!
