Great place, clean cabin and lots of activities to do. Fully stocked cabin for easy cabin camping. Great big community fire pit, bbq facility for anyone’s use, gas and charcoal with plenty of tools and seasonings to choose from. Many outdoor games to use: horseshoes, bocce ball, net for volleyball or badminton, tetherball, cornhole and disc golf with all supplies available for your use. Also a pool and fishing pond available Loved the wagons that are in the parking lot for easy transport of your stuff to your cabin!,,
This tucked-away gem is perfect for trips with family or friends. It was clean, friendly, and fun! Tip: if you want to visit nearby hiking during the pandemic (Pedernales, enchanted rock, Barton creek), be sure to register for passes in advance. Highly recommend!
We traveled to Texas for a wedding held at Mae’s Ridge and stayed at Hillside Acres, which was right down the road from the venue! It was the perfect place to stay, with many cabins surrounding an open area of picnics tables for eating and open space for playing numerous games (which are available). The cabins were updated and incredibly clean. It’s a great place to gather with groups, families or even wedding parties to stay. We had the greatest time and wish we could have stayed longer!
What a wonderful spot for a safe Corona-cation! We had a blast fishing, swimming, feeding the chickens, and sitting by the firepit at night. Kitchen had everything you would need. if you go out for dinner we recommend West Henly Boil Shack just around the corner, Johnson City Coffee on Main and Pecan Street Brewery.
My family of 4 just returned from a fun long weekend at Hillside Acres, and we loved every minute. We were looking to get out of the house during this COVID-19 quarantine, and this was the perfect place for a socially distanced vacation. The cabins are meant to look rustic, but they're modern in cleanliness and amenities, and have everything you need while away from home. From a well-stocked kitchen with dishes, condiments, pots and pans, and appliances to comfortable beds and living room furniture, we were super comfortable and able to spread out some. Wi-Fi is somewhat slow and works better on the porch than in the cabin, but that was fine with us - we came to spend time together, and I'll be honest and say the slow wi-fi was a plus for me to try to get my two teenage boys away from video games for the trip. The amenities on the grounds include cornhole, a pool, badminton, a fishing pond, horseshoes, and bocce ball - and I think we did it all. There's also a BBQ pit with several grills if you want to grill out. Everything is nicely spaced out and the trees are mature and shade an area of picnic tables where you can eat outside. I also thought the carts in the parking lot to unload your stuff and take it to your cabin were super helpful. We got a dozen fresh eggs from the onsite chickens and they were delicious. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun spot and for kids and adults of all ages. We plan to come back.…
