As others have said, this is a great location in Cambridge. The staff is helpful, the rooms are nicely appointed, and the breakfast is well done - if you have that option. The gym is barely adequate, and Verizon cell reception in some of the rooms is strangely iffy. Still though a great choice.

Have stayed here many times and found it to be very nice. Very friendly and efficient staff. Very. NIce rooms. Great location. Reasonable price for Harvard Square. When here in December with my wife they gave us a free upgrade that included continental breakfast which was very nice.

We stayed at the Commander while attending a conference at Harvard Law School. It was a short and convenient walk to the conference, so the site was well located for our purposes. Harvard Square was also convenient. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the entrance to assist with our baggage. Fortunately we had packed light...

Dear Eagle1949, Thank you for your TripAdvisor feedback. I'm glad you found our hotel convenient to your meetings at Harvard. We are always looking to update our property. We recently completed a renovation of all of our guestrooms and public spaces. In our design, we wanted to keep some of the unique history of our hotel. Perhaps these historic features...

The staff was very friendly, the room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has two sinks which is nice if you have more than one person in the room. It may have been because students hadn't returned for the spring term, but it was so quiet at night to sleep. Location is very close...

I had reserved a room using points, as I am a Gold Level Sheraton member. When my husband and I arrived, the man at the front desk (I wish I could remember his name) told me that we had automatically been upgraded to a suite. At most Sheratons, I have to request if one is available and some won't consider...

Dear Pomfret_NAG, Thank you for the wonderful review of your recent stay with us. I'm very happy you enjoyed your upgrade to a suite on the Club Level. Typically we don't have availability for upgrades outside of those who have platinum status, but sometimes lower occupancy offers availability of upgraded room types. The dates you stayed was certainly one of...

Tired mediocre hotel in a perfect location. Staff is polite & sincere but they can't make up for the dark, cramped rooms filled with oversized cheap furniture and no natural light. Very unpredictable heat, cold during the day and too hot to sleep at night even after adjusting the thermostat. Everything in the rooms decorated in various shades of dark...

Spent the weekend with my family, including my children, and had a great experience. Hotel was A+. When we arrived, David apologized for the room but within minutes had found us a perfect alternate room. We needed an extra blanket and it was delivered promptly at 11:30pm. Terrific service. The club lounge was excellent for breakfast and a pre-dinner snack...
