Hotel Veritas is a 31-room independent upscale hotel located in Harvard Square offering intimate service in a hip Cantabrigian setting. The entire look and feel of the hotel is elegant and current, but with a respectful nod towards our traditional and historic neighborhood. The guest rooms are designed with the fine detailing of an old New England residence and furnishings that are interesting contemporary pieces with rich fabrics and textures.

Comfortable, chic hotel a stone’s throw from Harvard Yard. Small but unique. My room was not large but it was comfortable and had everything I needed. I really liked the coffee station in the lobby with the artisanal biscuits, and the fireplace was a nice touch.

Stayed for a night out for a concert. Great location for walking to many restaurants and venues. Rooms were nicely kept with great amenities. Complimentary drinks and coffee, light snacks. Staff are attentive and helpful at every turn.

I hesitated to book into this hotel because of complaints on Tripadvisor. One was noise. There can be a little bit of noise from outside, but only from traffic. There was none from the hall or other rooms. Another was weak wifi, but I had no trouble with it. Check in was easy. The staff were very helpful. I was upgraded to a king-sized bed and loved my room. The shower stall was kept warmer than the bathroom - great! The price was excellent $121. My one reservation was the tv, which had basic cable - no CNN as far as I could tell, and some stations didn’t fill the whole screen.

Nicely decorated hotel in an excellent location with a friendly front desk, although I would suggest avoiding if you suffer from allergies or have sensitivity to chemical and perfume smells. A minute or two after entering my room, my throat began to close up and my nose started running. I had a few asthma attacks over the course of the night. I am sensitive to chemical/perfume smells and this happens to me every once in a while when staying at a new hotel, although this experience was particularly bad. There was a strong perfume/chemical odor in the room and on the sheets and towels as well. It made for a very unpleasant and mostly sleepless evening. I left the hotel first thing in the morning at 6AM and my throat opened up a minute or two after stepping outside. Again, nice hotel, but I strongly suggest avoiding if you are sensitive to chemical/perfume smells and other allergens.

Very convenient to Harvard and Harvard Square. The rooms are small and have little in the way of electrical outlets let alone usb plugs. I was there on business and was disappointed by the lack of plugs or a comfortable place to work on my computer. Shower and bathroom are adequate. Bedside lamps weren’t working.
