I came to Boston as a quick stop between Chicago and NYC so wanted to stay somewhere clean and friendly which I got in bucket loads. The guy that created me for check in was very friendly and really helpful and gave lots of great advice. All of the staff were really friendly. There was a problem with my pre-payment...

Clean place on a great location near harvard square. Good complete breakfast, tea, coffee and cake during the whole day on a common kitchen with microwave, and self service laundry at a good price. I spent the thanksgiving there and they offered a free delicious pie for free. great treat.

Missed flight brought us into Boston for the night and to Irving House. Had a 3rd floor room with private bath. The bed was comfortable and the room had an assortment of books and toiletries which was nice since we were not prepared for an overnight stay. We arrived late but were still able to get a few complimentary snacks...

Excellent bed and breakfast 5 minutes walk from Harvard Square. Breakfast, staff, room 205.... everything is great. We have stayed there several times and will come back. You can sit inside or outside and read books.

This was our first time staying at a B&B. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Their location was perfect for us. We walked around the Harvard campus before catching an Uber to the RedSox game.

Irving House was convenient for getting to meetings at Harvard in the morning- just a few minutes walk. Breakfast was excellent and everyone was friendly. My room was small but all I needed was a place to sleep and desk to work at, so it was fine. I had a room with a private bath and it was clean and...

Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate your providing the details that some travelers need to know. We hope to see you again some time. We will consider providing conditioner as well, or actually, instead of the combination shampoo/conditioner that we now provide... Rachael Solem

I stayed for 5 nights being invited by Harvard but had to pay for the extra nights The location is very convenient the rooms clean and homey - though the stairs rather steep if you're on the fourth floor. The all day long tea and cookies are great and the stuff extremely friendly and helpful The only down side is...

Thank you for your kind and candid review. While our rates may seem high, they are a very good value relative to the pricey market of Harvard Square. When the included amenities of parking, wifi, breakfast and afternoon snacks are noted, Irving House is an even better value. We do hope to see you again when your travels bring you...

I stayed in Rm 208 (see floor plan among my photos), which appears to be among the better rooms on the 2nd floor. If you want to be within 15m walking distance of Harvard Sq. and don't require luxury quarters, you will find this "bed & breakfast" is to your taste. Aside from a slightly musty odor upon entering the...

This B&B met all our expectations. We were looking for a nice, clean, and reasonably priced overnight location that included breakfast, free parking, and was a short (less than 15 min) walk to Harvard Square. We did end up in one of the smaller bedrooms, but it offered a comfortable bed, tv, and a full bath. It was all we...
