Directly across the street from Whole Foods, a short walk from the Central Square subway, and in a beautifully maintained 20th century Victorian, Prospect Place is a discretely run, lovely and convenient B&B.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cambridge. The location is excellent. Easy to find when driving from Boston via Rt. 90. Once the car was parked, we did not use it again until it was time to leave. Wear good walking shoes as the Cambridge sidewalks can be uneven. The B & B is just two blocks from the subway... More

I stayed in the Madeline Room for two nights in October and found it to be very comfortable, quiet, and clean. It's convenient to anything you want to get to in the area (it must have been parents weekend at MIT and Harvard because several other guests at that time were visiting their kids in college). The breakfasts were lovely... More

Four of us travelling together stayed 2 nights in the Florence and Emma rooms. The rooms were huge and decorated with lavish wallpapers and antique furniture and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was shared between the 4 of us which wasn't a problem and was a few steps away down the hallway. The common areas - guest's lounge and... More

We spent two nights in the Emma Room, which faces the street and is on the second floor. The room featured antique furniture and a high ceiling, which appealed to us. The two single beds were put together and covered with a king-size mattress, and they were just the right firmness. There was free wifi in the room, which worked... More

Enjoyed my stay for 3 nights for a conference at MIT. Accessible from Central station (Red Line), and a few minutes away from Harvard and MIT. Eric is a great host, and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here recently for 5 nights while helping to move my daughter into a nearby apartment. For two nights I was in a top floor bedroom and for three nights I was in the spacious Charles Suite on the ground floor. Everything was very comfortable and the breakfast was especially nice. Eric was extremely nice and welcoming. I look... More

We recently visited our son, a Harvard student, and this provided the perfect accommodations for us. The house is lovely and nicely maintained and works as a functioning household not just a guest house as other b & bs we have stayed at. Eric was very accommodating letting us check in and leave our bags early; letting us leave our... More

This was our first stay at this place though not our first visit to Boston. The location is central and a short walk to the t station. We stayed in the basement suite. It is a bit dark as there is only One skylight type window. We were given the option of moving to one of the upstairs bedrooms but... More

Conveniently located on the red line, the Central Square subway was only a quick five minute walk away. We stayed in the Charles room which is quite spacious and included a reading/TV room next to it. The breakfast was very satisfying, fresh fruit, bread (the chocolate croissant was a stand out!), yogurt, eggs, and cereal was available. Diane and Judy... More
