We stayed 2 nights in this friendly, clean and convenient accommodation. Ursula was warm, informative and gave us a real flavour of the community spirit that makes Mountshannon such a lovely place to stay. The room was comfortable, the food was good and her constant availability while also allowing for privacy made us feel very welcome in her home. We would highly recommend this place for any upcoming trip. Thanks Ursula!

Fantastic 5 day stay at this Cottage between the 13th and 18th July 2019. Ursula, Noel and their children were very helpful and the Full Irish Breakfast was mouth watering. Our 5 year old son dropped some breakfast on his t-shirt and whilst away, Ursula even washed his t-shirt. Highly recommended

From the time we got out of our car we were given a warm welcome from Ursula. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was wonderful and we felt like we were at home. We would highly recommend Hawthorne Lodge.

We stayed for one night only as we are running an Ultra Marathon Race in Portumna the following day. Ursula the owner of the B&B is very welcoming, accommodating and very nice. No wonder why Her B&B has a highest rating from the guests. The place is beautiful. Surely we will be coming again here next year.

Hi Guys, Thanks so much for the great review and sorry you didn't get a bit longer to have a look around the lovely area we live in beside Lough Derg Lake. We work hard to get our high rating and it's great that it is appreciated. Look forward to meeting you again next year when you take on that difficult challenge - you're cool, well done!! Cheers Ursula
