Super helpful and considerate staff. Beautiful spa and sauna. Very pragmatic, efficient, functional, and beautiful wood-laden interior, with very cozy rooms and dining facilities. Sauna was super relaxing! Great breakfast!

The room was great but it felt like they didn’t come to clean it everyday…that was rather disappointing. It was by far our most expensive hotel and the least clean. The food at the bistro was amazing and the staff was friendly

I contacted Stracta before our stay and asked for an upgrade from Standard room to Studio. When arriving we were given the room 701 which is locaded at an exit which seems to be the main entry/exit used by employees when walking from their huts in the backyard of the hotel. Also it seems that these employees go out of this door to go for a smoke. These empoloyees didn't give a fu** that they were near a hotel room which was occupied by guests. They spoke very loudly in front of our windows at times when we were sleeping, very early in the morning and very late in the evening. We were only given a discount of the upgrade price for one night. Just wish I hadn't upgraded our stay to Studio as I would probably have had more possitive experience.

On our trip camping around Iceland we had a night of rough weather and no sleep in our tent. We chose to stay the next night at the Stracta hotel. Though the rooms are fairly basic and in barracks connected to the main building everything we needed was there. It was very clean and comfy and the staff were so friendly and happy to help make our stay the best possible. Thank you for this! Two weary travelers

The rooms were clean with good beds. 3 course set meal was good and we haf good service at the bar. The hot tub and sauna were cold, that was dissapointing. It is a big part of the stay to have a good relaxing time.
