Stayed at Loa’s Nest after starting our exploration of the Golden Loop and the place was easy to self check-in, lovely, neat, clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. The hosts cook a waffle breakfast in the dining room each morning for guests and are very friendly and accommodating. Located in a beautiful, quiet area with great views of the landscape. Definitely recommend!

Endless waffles with home made rhubarb jam, coffee, and all the fixings. Everything was clean. Can tell it's a family business and they really care about your time in Iceland. The hosts are super friendly and, I state again, they really care. Mother broke her leg on a hike and we had a hard time making check out due to delays getting to the hospital (eruption currently happening in Reykjavik) and they understood. Really liked the split fridge in the common area. Hella is beautiful, quiet, cannot give it enough praise.

Loa’s is located off the Ring Road and is nice and cozy. Our room was well-designed and had a place for luggage and to hang clothes. It has a good bathroom. The hospitable folks at Loa’s had a great rhubarb jam to go along with maple syrup (and chocolate syrup!) for their generous waffles. This is a nice place and nice people.

We stayed at this wonderful guesthouse for two nights and loved it. The host made delicious waffles every morning and would take the time to talk with you. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Loa’s Nest in Helka.

We loved this guesthouse. It was close to Hella, but removed enough to feel super cozy. We enjoyed the waffles at breakfast. And the proprietors were delightful. The best bang for our buck on our trip around Iceland.

If I could rate this accommodations 20 out of 10, I would. Absolutely loved the easy check-in, the welcome smell of meals cooked or heated up by other guests as they ate in the homey dining room. A short walk to our room (even a side door for easier unloading of luggage_-- our lovely room, clean, welcoming, cozy, safe and wonderful. A kitchen and refrigerator --- both clean --- were a great plus-factor which were not listed as facilities, but thank-you so much for the savings from not eating out. The view from our room is posted here. The breakfast was delicious, the company and chat were great!! A couple of fine young gentlemen washed our dishes for us. BEST OF ALL--- Earth-friendly recycling !! THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

An outstanding hotel fitted to all our needs, perfect location with easy available access too supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations to buy food: and also near too all attractions in the golden circle. Their homemade breakfast waffles were fantastic, and the staff where so friendly and helpful/ couldn’t of asked for any more! Great rooms with a nice warm temperature: Highly recommend.

First of all, the location is perfect. It is within an hour's drive from all the major golden circle attractions, within 30 minutes drive from big towns for gas/grocery, and secluded enough to view northern lights (weather permitting) without any light pollution nearby. We had a room (room#7) with a private bathroom. It was clean, tidy and spacious enough compared to the European standards. There is a shared well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. The kitchen also had basic ingredients like cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar and some spices. They also have a shared refrigerator with sections marked for each room to store your own food. Wi-Fi is decent. A big shout out for the hospitality! Unnur and Ingi are perfect hosts and they genuinely seemed to care for their guests. We got lots of tips on local things to do, restaurants to eat etc. Like Ingi gave us superglue to fix a broken wing of our drone. Unnur gave us extra towels while we were heading out because it was going to rain. There is just this one little thing about free breakfast. I would call it free waffle, jam and tea/coffee (with milk and sugar). It doesn't include typical breakfast items like eggs, toast, fruits, oatmeal etc

We were a group of 12 and found this place the most accommodating, clean and friendly. We made our own breakfast and the owner added his delicious pancakes. While being away for the day I called the owner asking if had glue I could use to fix my shoes . When we returned in the evening I found the glue on the table. I highly recommend this guest room

We stayed as a large group attending a family wedding and we had a whole corridor of rooms! I can totally vouch for the soundproofing. Every room was spotlessly clean and well serviced. The communal areas are lovely. The Hosts were SO welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, including extra waffles without even asking. Absolutely 100% recommend staying here.
