I am a bit overdue in writing this review, but am eager to share this wonderful place with travelers. Last summer I went on a trail ride at Sythra Langholt where I had stayed in the summer of 2000 when I took a five-day horseback tour. It was magnificent. The horses were strong and well cared for by a family...

This was one of the most amazing experiences I had while in Iceland! Just me, the guide and our horses out for a little over an hour. We took it at my speed (pretty much a solid trot) the whole time. This is THE place to go if you want a real riding experience in Iceland. (We went one other...

My husband and daughter aged 7 spent just over an hour horse riding here and she absolutely loved it. They took them both out on their own and it was through this beautiful area and they were very attentive and good value for money. I would easily recommend this for for others especially with children.

I have had a wonderful time at Sydra Langholt and the people there were really nice. The horses they had were calm and easy to ride both for the unexperienced and the experiensed people. I will come back one day, and I hope there will be more people wisiting this wonderful place.

Stayed here for a night in late September, 2014. The manager was away and her parents were looking after the place (seemed as if the managed it before her), and they were very friendly, kind people. We were northern lights hunting, and came outside numerous times to check--around 1130pm the gentleman came down to see what we were up to,...

It is a large house with some 15 rooms and we were the only guest with another couple. The advantage is that this place is not so much advertised. We stayed two nights and the weather being awful, it was a good place to stay and relax, with a large living room on the top floor, a very well equipped...

Without a previous booking, one of the farmers gave us direction to the Sydra-Langholst farm, and this was the first place in the Flúðir area that still had a vacancy when we arrived in the afternoon. Being Saturday, and early September, the guesthouse was fully booked for the weekend, but we were offered a night in one of the double-bedroom...

Last week stayed one night in this guesthouse. It was a good stay. When we arrived a very friendly lady of the house showed us around. After cooking our own diner in the kitchen we stepped into the hot tub with a view on the sun going down. The breakfast simple but good.

When we arrived at the guesthouse the owner showed us our room. The room was basic but ok. A big bed was in the room as well as a spare bed and therefore the room could have been rented to three people as well. There was also a sink in the room but unfortunately there was no TV in the...
