Stayed here for one night whilst touring. The hotel was fine...rooms clean. The bathrooms are a bit dated and the showers a little bit temperamental. The hot tubs are nice. Breakfast pretty good and suited us. I think the website oversold the quality of the hotel but it was ok for one night.
We contacted the hotel chain trying to move our reservation by one year again due to the fact that Iceland is still not open to people from American. The reservation agent was lack of any understanding and told us the reservation can only be pushed by one year from the original booking. Other hotels we contacted were very understanding, but obviously not for this one. We would rather throw away our money then give business to this type of hotels again. Everyone be aware!
Went to the hotel for a short holiday. The room was okay and the hot tubs were nice. The beds in the rooms are not great, too soft. Our stay included breakfast, but if not included it is not worth the money. It was very, very basic. We just had coffee and a waffle. You should rather go across the street to Krambúðin for breakfast, or try to find a nice restaurant or coffee house.
Went with the family in June for one night on our drive around Fludir and south coast. This hotel is rather plain and simple but that is one of the benefits. Well situated in the middle of Fludir with easy access in all directions. I am not a big fan of hotel food but we decided to have a light dinner at the hotel. A must try is the mushroom soup as this is the mushroom capital of the country. We also went for the three small tortilla plate which was vegan with deep fried mushrooms and deep fried cauliflower. Really good food which surprised me. It is surely worthwhile to stay there and try th food.
Our tour put us two nights at this very simplistic, no frills hotel. The rooms were clean and minimalist but we liked the country setting and beautiful views. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of options. The view from the main dining area of the snow capped mountains was great. Outside our room was a hot tub and sitting area. As it got dark, we were taken out to view the Northern Lights as part of our tour. We would stay again, a great experience!
