Eskifjordur ir a truly beautiful place and Mjoeyri is located with an amazing view over the fjord. Our cottage was very clean with comfortable beds. The hosts were amazing and they even arranged a babysitter for us at 1000 kr hr while enjoying a dinner at Randulff’s. If you enjoy hiking, running, cycling or swimming you are in for a treat and the swimmingpool also has really cool slides for the kids. The second bedroom does involve rather steep stairs which was no problem for ust but might be too steep for some older people or toddlers (our 4 year old was ok with it). As and Icelander I will be back for sure.

Literally heaven on earth. We were not expecting this to be such a unique experience staying in the middle of a fjord, in such a gorgeous location in a cute little mini house. The accomodation is designed perfectly to capture the views while maintaining privacy. The spa boat which is situated right in front of the views had my daughter occupied and ourselves enthralled. I could sit and watch the Arctic terns for hours out at sea, it only added to the uniqueness of this special place. Can’t speak more highly, it is truly something special.

Fantastic stay in fully equiped cottage, beautifully and peacefully located, grand view.
Village very near.
Very clean.
Very well organised: easy welcome in the mini-cabin in the middle.
There is a free washing and drying machine: bring your own wahing tabs.
There are extra showers outside, next to the sauna and hot tub.
There are about 8 similar cottages.

Room Tip: There’s a nice walking/running trail about 200 m up in the hill, parallel to the road down under.

For the price I expected a much better maintained house
After booking months in advance, the house was cold and unwelcoming when we arrived

The 4 of us were provided with only one towel for all of our faces and hands, which was worn out and very small.
There is no paper towels, salt, pepper or oil, you have to bring everything with you.
The bathroom with a teetering shelf, a jar with a (hopefully) unique soap for everything
the shower cubicle is with a curtain that stays up for some miracle, the shower drain and the. sink works very badly, 3-4cm of water remains.
The whole thing is much more similar to a very low level camping bathroom than to a house that should be welcoming.
Only for those who know how to adapt.

The Mjoeyri cabins were the best place on our entire Icelandic itinerary! It's the perfect place to experience nature, be alone with the world and just take a break from the experience! We were a big company of 12 people, taking three cabins, everyone was very comfortable. We also ordered breakfast for everyone, especially to celebrate the incredible waffles! I highly recommend this place, we will definitely come back!

The place is magical on the water's edge, the chalet has huge bay windows overlooking the fjord, it is well equipped. The hot tub is very pretty in the form of a boat and above all very comforting at the end of the day. A little extra for the presence of the little fox found in May by the owner who gave us an unforgettable spectacle playing with the house dog. Amazing !

Make sure to call if you need to cancel any reservation as any email is not responded to. My fault for not following up, but I sent 2 separate notices of cancelation... one replying to godo email on June 27th, and then a message directly on website when I got no response via email. Reservation was for the night of July 14th, and I was charged. Again, not blaming anyone as was my fault for not following up. Just make sure to call as I never received any confirmation with messaging alone.
Also, I have to give a star rating to post, so this in no way reflects the property, and I don't want to necessarily lower their rating because of this, as I can't confirm they ever received my messages.

The best place we stayed on a 9 day trip around the Ring Road in Iceland. The views from the cabin of the fjord, the hot tub on the water, and the location were unbeatable. I just wish that we would have been able to stay more than 1 night. It was a great value as well; if they have availability when you’re in the area, I would unquestionably book it.

Very pretty, fully equipped cottage with on the ground floor: the kitchenette, hob, oven, sink, fridge and crockery, the living room with a large sofa, armchair and television and the bathroom.
Upstairs, the mezzanine with 2 single beds and a bedroom also with 2 single beds and a small balcony.
An extra pillow per bed would be welcome!
Very quiet, there is a hot pot in a boat 🚤 and a sauna, super nice.
There is the possibility of having the buffet breakfast with a wide choice of savory and sweet products.
And the best part is our meeting with a little black polar fox 🦊 who lives under the chalets and is not very shy!
A superb place!

The location is fabulous, we had incredible views and the geothermal jacuzzi was a highlight of our trip. The cabin itself was comfortable but somewhat dated. We got phone support from the hostess which was very helpful and check-in was easy. food in the area is pretty Spartan it's worthwhile bringing your own
