Nice stay in an amazing place! So nice view, to be far of the rest of the World The house is nice, even if the stair could be a bit dangerous and complicated for old or young people A nice stay, warmly recommend
Nice quite location with view to mountains and fjord. We forgot to bring coffee and got free coffee powder from the owners, very nice people. Would like to stay there again. We enjoyed it very much there.
A beautiful setting. People even more friendly than most Icelanders, and that is saying something! Fantastic hiking and interesting wildlife. Most of all, Sævar and Berglind are excellent hosts. And the Restaurant at Randulffssjóhús is fascinating with amazing food
Nice houses, really well thought for families, with mezzanine for the kids. With wood inside and several windows with amazing views ! All well thought; only thing to know if you want to have a coffee you need to bring powder coffee. For the rest very nice place with the plus that they raise arctic fox(es) that will come to say hello ! Really quiet place and relaxing in front of the water ! Some guests or locals were kayaking by the end of day that seemed amazing, if you happen to book here might be try to see if you can have that experience by the end of day. There were two kayaks alone in the middle of the lake and the birds was beautiful to see :) we had a great stay there and recommend it for sure !
Make sure to call if you need to cancel any reservation as any email is not responded to. My fault for not following up, but I sent 2 separate notices of cancelation... one replying to godo email on June 27th, and then a message directly on website when I got no response via email. Reservation was for the night of July 14th, and I was charged. Again, not blaming anyone as was my fault for not following up. Just make sure to call as I never received any confirmation with messaging alone. Also, I have to give a star rating to post, so this in no way reflects the property, and I don't want to necessarily lower their rating because of this, as I can't confirm they ever received my messages.
The fjord-front location ... the hot tub shaped like a boat ... the quaint yet comfortable cottage ... the location close to services and shops ... THIS IS A GREAT PROPERTY to use as a stopover on the Ring Road. Bravo!!
Literally heaven on earth. We were not expecting this to be such a unique experience staying in the middle of a fjord, in such a gorgeous location in a cute little mini house. The accomodation is designed perfectly to capture the views while maintaining privacy. The spa boat which is situated right in front of the views had my daughter occupied and ourselves enthralled. I could sit and watch the Arctic terns for hours out at sea, it only added to the uniqueness of this special place. Can’t speak more highly, it is truly something special.
We stayed 2 nights on our trip around the country. Our group of 3 families rented 3 of the cabins and we all agree this was one of the spots we wished we could have spent more time at. Beautiful property, charming cabins and breathtaking views. Clean, friendly owners and the kids had a blast on the trampoline. I loved the dog and meeting the fox. 10/10!
We stayed at the guesthouse and it was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Add the superb waterfront location to that, the hot tub and very sweet dog and you can imagine that we had an amazing stay here. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!
Comfortable house, the kitchen have all you need, and a cool communal hot tube outdoors, next to the fjord. We had terrible weather (the whole house was shaking and cold wind came in under the door). Also, the sauna did not work :(
